Today was my first time at Emerald Nails, and honestly I was highly disappointed because the guy who did my simple white gel manicure completely botched it. My nails looks so messy, they're lumpy, literally the edges of the nail polish are jagged and crooked. He filed my nails side ways and was so aggressive like he didn't want to do them. I mentioned on several occasions that they weren't turning out okay. And he just nodded his head. I ask him to fix them and he tried charging me in the first place for fixing them when he was the one who did them incorrect the first time. I get this is maybe a one time thing but if I come back I will only go to Diamond. Not him. I was referred here by a close friend after her speaking so highly of diamond, and I would expect him and the others to be held at her standards but I was wrong. But I will not be letting him do my nails again especially after trying to charge me for his mistakes that he didn't fix at all. read more

Tucked inside the H20 car wash on Slaughter Lane, I did have to call to ask where to find them, but once inside everything was great! Elaine was so sweet - she said nothing about the fact they were about to close and simply welcomed me in. I was nervous about getting a gel french manicure, but it turned out perfectly. I've had some less wonderful experiences at nearby nail shops, so I am thrilled to find somewhere great and get my nails back in shape. read more

I hate leaving a negative review, especially because I've been to this place a couple of times and they are so kind and attentive. However, the last time I went (which was about two months ago), I got a pedicure and I wish I wouldn't have. One of my big toe nails has been in pain since right after the pedicure, sensitive around the cuticle and a little swollen. Originally I didn't think much of it, thinking maybe the nail technician had just been a little rough and hence the tenderness around my nail. When all of my nails started growing out as usual besides that one, and the tenderness didn't go away is when I realized this may be an infection. I'm struggling with the tenderness still and still no growth of the nail. I am disappointed and upset that now my toe nail is messed up when it was completely normal before this pedicure. I can't recommend this place anymore, which is sad because I really liked the service there. read more

The male tech did not listen to me. Yet he assured me that he could do what I wanted I ended up with extremely thin acrylic nails. Acrylic ok but way too thin. I wanted solid color but he put clear that you could see the tips through. Then he put polish unevenly on them. By this time I was so disgusted I just left Needless to say the polish did not stay on. I will never go back again . In fact I think I will detour so I won't even have to pass by. Oh, they are located in a car wash. I went in with my two daughters. Emerald rushed through all of our nails, after I repeatedly told her we were not in a rush. The polish was sloppy. Went in with my phone fully charged, headphones on, playlist ready, expecting for a super long wait. Well that super long wait turned out to be super short! Both me and my niece waited maybe 5 minutes before having our nails worked on. The owner of the shop was extremely nice, and you can tell she's so passionate about what she does. I chose a light pink shade, which I know can come out very streaky and I was a bit upset when it did. I figured it was my fault though for not choosing a darker color. There are also random black dots throughout. I'm disappointed because one week in, my nails are chipping and don't look the best (started chipping a few days ago). I really wanted to like this salon because the owner and staff are very friendly. The first time I came in I left with a couple of my fingers bleeding at the cuticle. A couple of days ago I left with 6 fingers bleeding. I told the technician it was painful when she was filing/buffing but she just kept filing too close to my cuticle (or more like on top of my cuticle). At one point she apologized but laughed as well which made me pretty angry. The owner saw what had happened and didn't offer any solution or discount for the pain, not to mention my nails not looking up to standard. I unfortunately will not be returning. read more

Diamond took care of me and she was AMAZING. She is such a sweetheart, very knowledgeable, and a nice conversationalist. Although the service and price were good, the dip "ombré" nails weren't ombré, there's a line of the different colors. Within a couple days the edges of my nails started to chip. Then 8 days later one of my dip nails popped off when it was lightly scraped on a table. So I had to paint it because my natural nail was all roughed up. Then 10 days later (today) a second nail polish popped off while I was making a sandwich. I've had dip done on my nails countless times by different places and they usually last me 3-4 weeks before they even chip! This is ridiculous that they're popping off. read more

Wow! I love this place! First of all, I just moved here and have been on the search for finding a new nail salon that does SNS dip (it's so much healthier for your nails vs. shellac and acrylic). I saw the yelp reviews for this place but wasn't so sure about it considering I had to make an appointment and my schedule changes so much. But it was a pleasant surprise today! First of all, the salon is located inside of the H2O car wash. Not only did Elaine allow me to walk in while I was getting my car washed, she did an AMAZING job on my nails! If I could give them less than one star I would... Dirty shop rude and inexperienced techs. They were rough on my nails and tried to tear them off without soaking for a few minutes. After I asked the tech to stop hurting me five times I finally said I didn't want the service. She became upset and even followed me out the door as I tried to pay for my carwash. The service was so horrible and she embarrassed herself by yelling at me. The other tech that was in the shop didn't know what she was doing and was messing up someone else's wax while I was waiting. Go elsewhere and skip the convenience of having your car wash and nails done at the same time. The car wash took two hours so I won't be going back again. Worst service by a small business owner. As an operations manager and a small business owner I would say, "Go elsewhere." read more
