New Image Restoration was hired for a fee of $1,000 plus tax to remediate a mold issue measuring 2'…read morex 1' x 2' x 1' located within the wooden structure above the bathroom ceiling (sheetrock). The contractor(s) from New Image Restoration removed and disposed of approx. 2' x 4' x 2' x 4' of the ceiling (sheetrock) that exhibited signs of mold, treated the exposed wood with a mold and mildew killer, identified the source of a leak, and recommended that I hire a plumber. I found the quality of the work to be satisfactory however, the identification of the leak was inaccurate, as no pipes were found to be leaking. The contractors were courteous and presented identification upon request before entering my home. Nevertheless, I consider the cost of the work particularly expensive for seniors given that it represents only (1) component of a (3) part job. Additionally, I was asked to sign a blank contract that stipulated a 50% charge, the cost was not explicitly detailed in the agreement. I had to inquire further to clarify this matter. Despite the fact that New Image Restoration was aware of my insurance company's $500 deductible, I was required to pay (2) both payments of $500 plus. Moreover, I began to receive multiple invoices totaling over $1,500 for services such as drywall repair, patchwork, priming, and painting, which were not performed by New Image Restoration or Super Steamer Carpet. It was also concerning to discover that New Image Restoration billed me through a subcontractor, Super Steamer Carpet, without prior notification regarding the involvement of subcontractors. Ultimately, I found it necessary to hire multiple contractors to complete the work on the ceiling mold issue. This experience has underscored the importance of inquiring about the entire scope of a project, including a comprehensive written description and a complete estimation of costs, accounting for any deductions.

Pretty responsive as far as generating the quote for a mold and asbestos remediation.read more

After dealing with kitchen damage, I realized the actual repair part was only half the battle. The…read moreinsurance side of everything was honestly more overwhelming than the damage itself. Every phone call felt like I was speaking a different language and I had no idea what was actually covered versus what I was being told. Finding NYTDR completely changed that experience for me. What I appreciated most was that they approached the situation like people who actually understand how stressful it is to have your home disrupted, not just like another construction job. They caught things in the kitchen that I would've never thought to document for the claim and explained the process in a way that actually made sense. There were multiple moments where I probably would've accepted less from insurance if they hadn't stepped in. The kitchen now looks better than it did before the damage happened, but honestly the biggest value was having people who knew how to navigate both the restoration side and the insurance side at the same time. That combination is rare. Most companies either know construction or know claims. NYTDR seemed to understand both equally well, which made the entire process way smoother than I expected.

They took me through every step of the process, and were always available to answer my questions. Quana George, who was the project manager was extremely helpful in answering all my questions the same day by text or email, and made the entire process much easier. The Prime Mold team is highly professional and deconstructed, completed mold remediation and restored ceilings and walls including drywall, plaster and painting that had been stripped down to the brick. Mike responded immediately and was on-site the next day to assess the situation. His professionalism, transparency, and clear communication made it easy to move forward with confidence. Mike, Simon, and their team were outstanding from start to finish. They completed the water mitigation and mold remediation in just three days--impressive given the scope of the damage. The crew was highly skilled, respectful of our home, and extremely detail-oriented. They protected our belongings, kept the work areas contained, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day. Communication was excellent throughout. Mike also provided prompt, detailed documentation for insurance, which made the claims process much smoother. While insurance approvals took time (outside their control), once cleared, the rebuild was completed in only three weeks--far faster than expected. Even minor finishing details were handled quickly and without issue. Prime Mold Removal exceeded our expectations across the board. If you're dealing with water damage, mold, or need reconstruction, I highly recommend them without hesitation.

USAA Claim #028435000-803 remains open with no coverage decision as of 4/17/26. ATI has not provided insurance info or reimbursement. I cannot recommend this vendor. Invoice and photos available. Update: Will revise if ATI or USAA resolves the $1,100 damage. Yelp Review - Copy/Paste: 1 star. USAA sent ATI Restoration for water damage. ATI techs hit a heating pipe during demo, slapped a clamp on it, and left. I paid $1,100 out of pocket for emergency repair because USAA said "it's under investigation." Filed with NJ DCA - case 30813100.OCP closed as negligence. BBB Case 24757251 open. Still no payment from ATI or USAA 7+ days later. I had damage from a storm and I was told the process would be done within 3-4 weeks max. The adjuster came out right away, then it took another 2 weeks for the 2nd adjuster (idk why a second adjuster was really needed), then the contractor finally showed up after 4 weeks and many many calls. I was told the work would take another few weeks. Now that everything is complete, I cannot get a detailed list of the repairs/costs. I finally paid the last amount due and I give up! They kept putting items in the bill that they did not fix so I kept asking for an adjusted contract. I had to keep chasing them down and they blamed it on me. They said I made changes...(I removed work from the list just to get things done. We did alot of the work ourselves because we got no response from them.) Bottom line...I don't find this company trustworthy at all.

He was incredibly HONEST and upfront about the work that needed to be done and what DID NOT NEED TO BE DONE, and his prices were very reasonable compared to other companies in the area. Moisha was efficient - he wasted no time in identifying the problem and getting to work, which was a huge relief since dealing with mold can be stressful. We urgently needed Moisha to confirm if there was or wasn't mold in a unit that we were in the process of purchasing. He knew that time was of the essence and we could have been really screwed if we got stuck with something that was a complete problem. Moisha moved his appointments and got us in RIGHT AWAY! Thank you so much Moisha for making it happen for us! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MOISHA TO ALL MY FRIENDS.
