This place is not your typical winery. We stopped and walked in and the lights were out. The owner was expanding outside while performing construction. He was raw about everything. I loved his honesty. He explained about the winery really well. Loved the wine. We tried root beer wine. It was good. I will go back again when we are in the area.

We left with 4 bottles of wine, and, thanks to the sampling costs and a $3 bowl of wine ice cream, a bill of over $110.

The dining area was extremely loud and noisy, which made it difficult to have a conversation. Our table was in a small nook of the restaurant overlooking the gift shop, and the space felt cluttered and more like a storage area than a dining area. There was one other table in this area. Compared to the beautiful settings and atmosphere we've experienced at other local wineries, this venue did not impress us. We started with the bruschetta bread and the spinach artichoke dip, and both were very good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal did not live up to the start. We had stopped at another winery beforehand for drinks and really wished we would have stayed there for dinner instead. There were five of us dining, and none of us left feeling wowed by our meals. I ordered the Gnocchi Brue, which is described as "tender chunks of filet mignon simmered in a Cabernet wine demi-glace with mushrooms and onions, served over potato gnocchi with Gorgonzola cheese." Unfortunately, the meat was very tough and did not seem like filet mignon. I also felt the Gorgonzola cheese in my meal did not complement the dish. The appetizers were the highlight, but overall, the atmosphere, dining experience, and entrées fell short, especially compared to the other wineries we visited in the Geneva area.
