We were told for two days that my Father had a bed for sub-acute rehab. We were even given a room number. The holdup to transferring him was supposedly insurance authorization. I spoke with the insurance company at least six times and they assured me that they had not received an authorization request from Wiley nor had Wiley contacted his current facility. At the end of the second day we were told by admissions that they will not have a bed for my Father and they could not tell us why. The head of admissions told us that they were just 'the messenger'. I've yet to hear an explanation or an apology for keeping us hanging for 2 days when we could have been working to have my Father placed elsewhere or moved to a private room at his current facility, which are now all filled.

But the times that she needed their services they were right there for her. She was recently transported to the hospital, a nurse from Wiley's took the time to call me and advised me she was admitted. Even tho I had just gotten off the phone with my mom this meant a great deal to me. My husband has COVID so I was unable to be with my mom. I am beyond impressed with Wiley's and how they treat their residents and their family members. Thank you Wileys.

Today I find our friend was rushed to Virtua Hospital with low BP and a Viral Infection. I called and asked for a person in charge. Then when I questioned her about my Uncle. She said she knew nothing about that. His Caretaker has who has Cancer has called several times and has never gotten a straight answer. In Fact Physical Therapist called him this week and said he has make a decision by March 18 to remove him or put him in the Nursing Home there. Why the PT and not a Doctor or Social Worker. After this I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

If you know anybody that's even remotely looking into this place do not do it. My dad went in for rehab from a UTI to get his strength back. He is 68 years old he was there a month. They said they needed to keep him longer because of a sore on his heel. We knew the store was there. It wasn't that bad, but I knew it needed to be taken care of so I agreed to it while he was there. They did two other procedures on him did not go through his primary care. doctor did not go through his specialist for this problem. They did it with their own doctors. I was not even notified. I am a primary care caregiver at home. His next kid he has no other family members besides me against their wishes. I took him to another foot doctor his heel on his right foot was so blistered and oozing, and it looked horrible. It was 100 times worse than when he went in which they were supposed to be carried for it. His left foot. The heel was fine no problems with it when he went in today for his foot appointment for the specialist. It was worse than the first the other foot when he went in. He was neglected. They did not care for them properly. They're overnight. Crew doesn't do a damn thing. My dad set on a wet mattress stoke with urine and feces for six hours before they even got anybody in there to care for him and clean him up. This is the worst place for anybody I would not wish my worst enemy on this place do whatever you can to put your family member anywhere else but here.!

Commuting home from work, I always passed Spring Hill and knew proximity-to-home wise, it was my best option. Little did I know, location would be eclipsed by the people I met and the experience my mother had in her last days. I walked in without an appointment, but out of desperation on a Friday morning and was introduced to my first friendly face, Rosa. Although not on duty as a tour giver that day, she took the time to give me a detailed walk through the beautiful facility, showing us the progress of their new renovations and answering some of my general questions. It was not the renovations that sold me, although mom was lucky enough to have a renovated room, but how Rosa treated all of the residents in the common areas and also how they responded to her. That kindness never retired. I began to move forward with the process of getting all of mom's finances and medical care/ medications in order when I met Shari. Shari is the director of the nursing team and a very very special human being. Her accessibility and communication skills are matched only by her compassion and the dignity she offered to my mother. Making multiple house calls in one week to assess my mom's condition and staying in constant contact with me during the process, Shari continued to go above and beyond throughout the entirety of my mother's stay at Spring Hill. On move-in day (an impressive one week after my initial, unannounced walk-in tour with Rosa) I met many dedicated workers who helped me with bringing in my mothers furniture. They helped me more than I could have ever imagined. Ken Halsey was the manager and he made me feel completely at ease. Very accessible by phone for me and was attentive to all of my questions/concerns. He was the one who was able to make it possible for my mother to get quality care quickly. Unfortunately, mom only spent about one month at Spring Hill before passing away, but I always felt like I was immediately part of their family. The place has a kindness that I am grateful for and appreciative of because my mom was at peace. When I came back, all of the staff would tell me how they loved working with my mother. It was more than just words. They had stories of how they enjoyed my mother and that made me feel that it was reciprocal. Overall, I will forever be grateful for the people such as Ken, Shari, and Rosa for taking care of my mother and letting her have the dignity to live her final days the way she enjoyed.

Management acts like they are going to do something, but never follow-through. She has the same lunch, every single day (grilled cheese) - that is if she's lucky enough to even have them remember to bring her meals. Her room has been infested with bugs and rodents (mice), and it took multiple phone calls and in-person complaints to actually have someone do something about it. The turnover there is tremendous - we've been through at least four executive directors, concierge, nurses and aides. The adage, "don't judge a book by its cover" certainly applies to SpringHills.
