Unfortunately time has come to search for a new dentist and leave this practice. Appointments are always booked out several months and when time comes for an appointment it has become extremely rare for them to keep said appointment. My appointment originally scheduled for February has needed to be rescheduled three times now and the earliest I can be seen is December. It's like a Seinfeld episode. You see, you know how to TAKE the appointment, you just don't know how to KEEP the appointment. And that's really the most important part of the appointment. read more

I wish I had carefully researched before deciding on this practice for my extensive dental restoration. When I was very young I was suddenly attacked by a drunk in the street and lost all my front teeth (got hit with a wine bottle on the face). This was an extremely traumatic experience for me, not only because I was in my early twenties, but because of the obvious pain I had to endure. I had several restorations since, they last about ten years, and this was my 3rd one. I only came to this practice because one of the surgeons had Colombia University listed as their graduate school, and I thought - hey, Colombia is a great school, can't go wrong with it. Turns out, this was the most unpleasant experience I had of them all: I had bone replacement done, and I wasn't asked what kind of bone I wanted, they selected cadaver bone for me anyway... The pain during the procedure was excruciating. The nurse assisting the doctor was discussing her days off, the doctor seemed annoyed by my pain, pulling and pushing very hard, to finish sooner. I was given a temporary bridge during the healing process, which would get detached twice a week. The first time it happened it was a Friday, and when I called, the front desk said that the office will close soon, and the doctor was off until Wednesday. I was stunned. I said: "you do realize my bridge has fallen... I have no front teeth" She said sorry and gave me their emergency line, which was one of the doctors. I left a message and he called back saying that I could go to Walgreens and get some temporary glue, I said "gee, thanks, you'd say that someone could've told me this before, so I won't freak out" There is more: the bridge they made was crooked! The middle was falling on the left side of my face, and when I pointed this out to the doctor, both he and the nurse got very annoyed. Thankfully, they agreed to send it to the lab and get it fixed. At this point, all I wanted was to be done! Treated like a burden, never shown any sympathy for my situation, being dismissed by the front desk (they all were probably talking about me and my complaints). I don't know if this practice was doing implants often or what was their expertise, and there is no way to know this specific information, but I was under the impression that they didn't have much experience with it. How did it end: the bridge was done. It's been over a year, and I didn't go back to finish the other implant (for the bridge on the right side). My bite is awful, there is a huge gap on the right molars where I can't chew at all, while my right molars are overworked. Turns out that they didn't tell me anything while looking at my X-ray that one of the teeth under my existing (old) right bridge was decaying. Now it's infected and I need to replace that side as well. That could've been addressed when we made the plan for the whole procedure. Money wasn't an issue. I don't have insurance, and I paid cash. As much as needed to restore my smile. I am still young and I deserve to look good, and feel good, not be in pain, and not be able to chew my food, after tens of thousands of dollars spent. This was our first dental visit here in Massachusetts and we couldn't be happier. 10 stars really. Christopher at the front desk is the consummate professional, and despite a little glitch in their email system, confirmed our paperwork and submitted documentation made it without an issue. Despite an appointment time mix up on my end, the office was super accommodating. I had a cleaning with Kathy would couldn't have been nicer and ridiculously efficient. Anthony Sciuto, DMD was very kind and extremely gentle. He did a quick check up and I was on my way. Great office; everyone there seemed happy to be working there; it was decorated really nicely for the holidays and the rooms were super clean. With so many dental offices from which to choose in Chelmsford, I'm SUPER happy we chose this one! YAY! read more

Got to my appointment 10 mins early and did not get seen until 45 minutes later. very unprofessional. My dentist was the older woman with short dark hair and glasses. Nice lady but bad on timing and seems inexperienced. I didn't get a proper cleaning. I've been to numerous dentists and seems like she only cleaned the front of my teeth. Didn't use the water spray or anything just scraped the front. Avoid this place if you don't mind being seen late or have random dentists each time. Front desk people are great though. Avoid the service here. Seems like your being rushed and doctors don't care. read more

I stopped going to Great Hill after 2 years, because I felt they were always trying to upsell products/procedures to me. I have 3 fillings-they told me that they all needed to be changed out, although I had no problems with them. They would call and call me to schedule this appointment. I ended up blocking their number and never going back. A year later, I go to another (very reputable) dentist in town who says nothing is wrong with the fillings-they are all sealed just fine. Here are some highlights: * Receptionists are welcoming, cordial, and attentive. * Dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff are warm and professional. * Dr. Peter, the dentist from whom I had my fillings and sealants done, is AWESOME. Not only is he highly cognizant of his patient's comfort (dentist often = anxiety, right?), but he is also personable and funny. Equally important, he clearly loves what he does. Never have I felt more in capable hands than in Dr. Peter's. (Pun fully intended) Also, the office is very clean, well-lit, and up-to-date (from what I could tell) in its technology. Each examination room features a TV on which cartoons may be played for children, news or shows may be chosen for adults, and on which staff can present patients' X-rays. I can't say enough about the entire staff at Great Hill Dental in Chelmsford. From the friendly welcoming front desk staff which made me feel so comfortable from day 1 to my dental hygienist (Zelika) and my dentist Dr. Hagy who explained everything in detail and gave me several options on moving forward with the dental work that was needed. I wish they had a 10 star rating as my entire experience from when I walked in the door to when I walked out was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable. This happens each time I visit Great Hill Dental, it wasn't because it was my 1st time, its each and everytime I visit that the entire staff makes the experience of going to the dentist such an ease and I feel confident each and everytime that the care I am receiving for several dental issues is the best care I could possible get with options clearly explained. First off, the blonde receptionist Courtney is SO kind, sweet, and patient! I had to call back 3 or 4 times to update insurance info before even being able to book an appt, and she was consistently patient, and even happy to help me out despite my issues. This immediately left a great taste in my mouth, and once I came to the office and met her in person, she was equally as kind and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Good job picking your receptionist! :) Secondly, I appreciate the honesty of this location. This was my first visit, and I came in for wisdom tooth pain. Rather than scheduling me a cleaning right away just to get money, Dr. Patel, the dentist, inspected my mouth, quickly diagnosed the issue, and said it wouldn't be wise to clean my teeth at the office before getting my wisdom teeth out. She refferred me to an oral surgeon, and I am waiting to have my consultation with him/her. I REALLY appreciated this gesture, and it definitely gained trust for me. The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because I've never actually had my teeth cleaned yet! :) Once I get that done, I will update this review, having had the full experience and being able to leave full feedback. Great Hill Dental Partners in Chelmsford MA is the only place I will trust to touch my teeth! I have been going to Dr. Walters for years and his professionalism, expertise, and drive for perfection puts me at complete ease every time I come in for a visit. I get my teeth cleaned with either Tricia or Linda and they are both so friendly and accommodating, it is hard not to smile or laugh in between the flossing and brushing. Overall, the office is clean, the staff is friendly, and I have never had any issues with my insurance/payments. Great Spot! read more

This was my first time going to this office for a dental cleaning and I am extremely pleased with my experience! Coming from someone who is terrified of the dentist I can honestly say this was the least stressful experience ever! The receptionist was bright, happy and genuinely excited to meet me which is always a plus. The hygienist was gentle, kind and very social which helped keep me at ease. The dentist also stopped in to check things out and welcome me to the practice. Clean office and even tvs at the perfect height so you can watch while they clean! I would strongly suggest that anyone who goes to Great Hill Dental and is told they have multiple cavities get a second opinion elsewhere. I made an appointment with Great Hill Dental after seeing the same dentist for the last 15 years or so because I had a change in my insurance coverage and wanted to find a dentist that was in my insurance network. A friend had gone to a different branch of Great Hill Dental and had a positive experience and this office had great reviews on yelp so I decided to give it a shot. The only positive things I have to say about my experience were the receptionist, Courtney, was fantastic - she was very professional and on top of everything. The dental hygienist who did my cleaning was also great. They took x-rays and I met with Dr. Walters, who proceeded to tell me that I had "6 or 7" cavities. I had been going to the same dentist every 6 months for the last 15 years, so this was a bit of a shock since at my last dentist appointment there had been no mention of any cavities. The quantity of "6 or 7" cavities also seemed a little vague. I asked Dr. Walters to explain where specifically the cavities were, since I was pretty confused. He waved his hand vaguely at the x-rays and would not give specific information even after multiple questions. I realized this was going no where, so I left the office to check out. I was handed a treatment plan before leaving which now included 8 cavities to be filled, for a total of almost $3,000. To me this extremely high bill with a vague description of where the "cavities" were was a huge red flag, and it seemed like Dr. Walters was taking advantage of a new patient. I made my next 6 month appointment with my previous dentist. When going over my x-rays in detail with me, he showed me one filling that needed to be fixed, but with no mention of any other cavities. I talked to him about my appointment with Great Hill Dental and how they had found 8 cavities. I asked if there were possibly different approaches in how different dentists treat cavities, and if there were maybe other areas of concern. He said he didn't see anything other than some stains on my teeth, which he said could have possibly been confused with cavities. I wanted to wait until I had my appointment with my other dentist to make sure I had a second opinion before posting this review. The fact that my previous dentist did not see any cavities or potential areas of concern, other than the one filling that needed to be fixed, makes my experience with Dr. Walters at Great Hill Dental seem extremely shady. I am so thankful that I got a second opinion before letting him drill out portions of 8 of my teeth. This would have had a serious impact on my dental health for the rest of my life, and it seems like the only motivation from Dr. Walters was to get $3,000 worth of work from a new patient. read more

In the middle of substantial dental work, my dentist opted out of my insurance plan. No one in the office informed me of this. As he was no longer a "preferred provider" in my plan, the work I had done ended up costing me almost $2,000 more than the approved treatment plan stated it would. They then tried to rush me into the next phase of treatment, wanting a payment up front. Luckily, for me, I decided to wait until my insurance company caught up with their payments to the dentist. That is when I found out he was no longer a preferred provider. Extremely dishonest business practices! read more

i have been using this dental practice for over 20 years!! (Yes, since well before they were part of this partnership which has only improved their service!) My husband, myself and our three children have gotten all our dental and orthodontic needs met here and the care is top-notch. Dr. Walters is a particularly skilled, careful and reliable dentist. He bonded a chipped front tooth for me twenty years ago - and it is still strong and completely undetectable!! In the 10 years prior to that, two attempts (by other practices) at bonding were bumpy and broke quickly. The staff is fantastic and they always have the latest equipment... I would give them extra credit stars if I could!!! read more
