Now, usually I ride a road bike, so I'm a master at changing flats, however, looking at the back hub, i was afraid to mess with the electronics so I called the shop. They had me bring it right in. When I got there, I was greeted by a very nice young man. I asked if I could watch him change it so I could fix it myself next time. "No problem". I was back on the road within minutes!. I've been going to Adam's bike shop since I was a little girl. I'm 60 now :). The entire crew is great! Knowledgeable and helpful. I HIGHLY reccomend Adam's for all your cycling needs.

I was visiting Erie with the intent of taking a couple of leisurely bike rides around Presque Isle…read more On our first ride, my bicycle seat developed an annoying rattle/squeak. It's not bad enough that it was annoying, but I have sensory issues on top of it. This had been a recurring problem that other bike shops attempted to fix. I thought they had done so, but only temporarily it would seem. I called the owner of AR Adams on upper Peach Street around dinner time that evening; he invited me to come in so he could take a look at it. He spent the next hour and a half doggedly investigating every mechanical aspect of the seat. Nothing seemed to help, so I said I would buy a new one since I just couldn't take that squeak! He installed the new seat, and then took the bike for another spin around the parking lot. When he got back, he told me he thought he could still hear something! I took the new seat for a ride myself and yes; the squeak was still there although not as loud. At that time, we decided to try to replace the post that the seat attaches to. After he did that, my bicycle was transformed into a quiet machine! He refused to sell me the new seat, since that wasn't the problem. I was so grateful for his patience and fortitude in helping me solve my problem and not gauging me on price. Thanks so much!!!
