We had a graduation party of 15 at Emil's. The staff, food and service were outstanding. They put a prefixed menu together and had several options. Great cocktails and yummy desserts. Beautiful old home. Thank you, Emil's for a wonderful night!

A really great surprise. Working in Tullahoma TN this week and my coworker suggested Emil's for dinner. The atmosphere was better than described in several reviews. I felt the house was unique and the tables left enough room for servers and staff to wait on us. I arrived early and was seated promptly. I was brought ice water which was great that the staff wasn't annoyed with an early arrival. I could have gone to their bar which in itself looked very cool with dark woods and big shelves and bar. We were offered bread and we tried their Pinot Noir that was a special. The wine was great but the bread was really fantastic -- a crunchy exterior and soft delicious inner. We both ordered the filets it was very hard as I was so tempted by the two pork specials on the chef's specials. Pork tenderloin rubbed with a spice blend and they offered a bone in pork chop! The filet was perfectly executed... a delicious spice and the sear was exceptional. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The green beans were blanched and seasoned nicely as well. Personally, I loved the rich potato casserole... cheesy, buttery goodness! The owner checked with us and made sure everything was perfect! Will be back next time!

I can't rant and rave enough about how amazing Emil's is. Every time I'm in Tullahoma I MUST stop in. Most recently I was there to celebrate my mother's birthday so it was a relatively large party. Everything was cooked to perfection and our waitress was a pure delight. Plus the drinks were delicious. ESPECIALLY the dessert drinks.

Have driven by here several times when in Tullahoma. Decided to stop & try it for dinner. It's in an old house & they have tables & chairs on the porch. Parking is behind the restaurant. When we walked in, they asked if we had a reservation; surprised, as it was a Thursday night. They seated us in a small room to the right of the entryway. Our waitperson greeted as quickly, gave us menus & brought us waters. Lots of choices on the menu which sound very good. We started off by ordering drinks & the crab dip with crackers. The "specials" menu was separate & my husband & I both decided to order from it, as we saw prime rib was available & we haven't had any in awhile. We both ordered it with mashed potatoes (choices were fries, green beans & mashed potatoes). Prime rib also came with mushrooms. Our appetizer arrived...steaming hot & oh, so delicious!! We made short work of that! It had "fake" crab in it & I'm not sure what else but would definitely order again. Our prime rib was cooked as requested & was good, but I have had better. I was a bit disappointed. A little tough & not a whole lot of flavor. Mashed potatoes were good & the mushrooms were very good! Afterwards, I remembered I should've asked for horseradish & maybe I would've enjoyed it more. Huge portion (which my husband finished). Someone asked how everything was (owner/manager??) & was extremely nice. Our waitperson was prompt & friendly. We both agreed we would go back, but we'll try something else instead.

Wasn't too hungry so went with the smaller 12 oz cut...delicious

Last night in Tullahoma and looking for a great dinner before leaving. Yelp brought us to Emil's Bistro, not often that you find a 5 star rating so we had to give it a try. We didn't have reservations but we took our chances and walked in, fortunately they were able to give us table right away. Food: Nice range of craft cocktails greeted us, I wanted something whiskey based and representative of the area, our server suggested I try the Tennessee Orange which combined Jack and a local pale ale, pretty tasty and refreshing. For our meal I couldn't pass up the small 12 oz cut of Prime Rib which was extremely flavorful and tender. Served with tender green beans and mushrooms it was great meal! Service: Solid service, seated quickly, very friendly, and checked on us often. Food came out quickly and all dishes where plated very nicely. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was like walking into someone's house which was very comfortable and relaxing. Seating setup in different rooms, there was also a bar located in the next room that I'd love to check out if every back in the area. Value: Great value, with two cocktails, a cup of soup, Caesar salad, and my Prime Rib all for under $60! Similar meals we've had in other cities would easily be over $100! Overall: Emil's definitely deserves their high rating, great food, good service, nice atmosphere and tremendous value makes this a must try if you are in the area. Keto: My dinner was definitely keto friendly although high on the protein macro nutrients. You can definitely keep to your keto plan at Emil's!

That's was a great BLT. Becca the server is great, super sweet young lady. The building is a 1903 cicada house. Great atmosphere and an awesome soundtrack for lunch, Beatles, Elton, Doobie Brothers, etc.

We were seated promptly, our waiter was friendly and attentive, and our drinks and appetizer came out quickly, so the evening started off on a positive note. Unfortunately, when it was time to order our entrees, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. I ended up having to choose something I normally wouldn't have ordered because so many of the options I wanted weren't available. My son enjoyed his meal, but my chicken gnocchi was very disappointing. It had almost no flavor, and the texture was so soft that it was more like mush than a pasta dish. To make matters worse, the air conditioning wasn't working, and while I understand equipment can fail, the dining room was quite warm despite several fans running. Our server was kind and did his best, but overall the experience didn't match what I would expect from a high-end restaurant. Spending nearly $200 on a birthday dinner that ended up feeling average at best was disappointing. I hope the restaurant can address the menu availability, food quality, and facility issues because I really wanted this to be a memorable celebration for my son for all the right reasons. I really want to come back and have a better experience.

For starters, the location is down an alley way, hidden off the main area of the Square in the Boro. To get to the speakeasy, you have to find the door, use the phone, and answer a riddle to speak the 'password' to get in. Neat concept and adds to the fun of the overall experience. The cons: - A cover charge - and a healthy one, at that. - Every cocktail, small plate/appetizer, dish, dessert, etc. is on the very high end of price points, and that's even for a Nashville spot - not even considering this as a niche location in the burbs. - For the prices, exceptionally small portions/servings of the food options. We left paying over $150 for our evening and both my wife and I were still hungry... The pros: - Service was fantastic. Extremely friendly from the owner to the bartenders to the servers. No complaints there at all. - My wife took me for my 40th birthday, and they helped significantly make it a special celebration while we were there. A special dessert with "4-0" candles, a rousing musician-led, crowd-involved rendition of "happy birthday" was sung in my honor, and overall just a very enjoyable experience. - Atmosphere was fun and inviting without being too much/stuffy. - The interior of the speakeasy is opulent, small, and cozy, featuring enough room for probably no more than 20-25 people total. - The drinks were very, very good. Overpriced, sure - but at least they were well made and tasty. - The food was absolutely fantastic. Great flavors and seemingly fresh, quality ingredients - well prepared. Overall, a very neat, fun, well thought out experience and something to say we've done - BUT unfortunately with the cover charge, pricing of the individual drinks, food items, etc., it prices us out of frequent enjoyment. We would go with a small group for kicks, but will likely not return otherwise, which is a shame.
