DDS must stand for: Deceptive Defrauding Swindler I guarantee she paid the few who gave positive reviews. BEWARE!!! (My experience happened back in the Summer of 2015 mind you, but apparently this charlatan is still in business and the public needs to know more about this quack!) Wish I had seen these reviews before seeing this dentist. My insurance recently changed so I had to leave my dentist of over 20 years. Chose this one from a family friend's recommendation and because of its convenient location. I go to the dentist at least once a year. I'm always told my teeth look great. No problems at all. So I make this appointment with Emily Graham for a simple routine cleaning. When you arrive, make sure you are looking good that day because they make you take a photo "for their records." Later you'll realize they're just trying to $ell you on some whitening/straightening product with a photoshopped version of your smile. After a relatively short wait, I go in and immediately bombarded with X-ray$. They took even more when I was sitting in the chair. Of course with my luck they stick me with a dental assistant working on her first day (or so it seemed.) Probably spent over 10 minutes reviewing my paperwork and history. She leans me back on the chair. There's a little TV above everyone's chair which I thought was cool. She said it's always on HGTV; would I like to change the channel? I said sure. She said ok... well, we'll change it later. I'm like, OK thanks a lot lady. Suffice to say the channel never got changed. That muted home renovation show though, probably the highlight of the visit. Anyway, back to the review. I got my bib thing on and I'm ready to get my cleaning, then she starts taking pictures inside my mouth. I found out they're supposed to let you see these on the screen. Of course I did not get this luxury. So another ten minutes has probably gone by. Then the actual dentist comes in. She proceeds to examine me. (In my experience, I'm used to getting a cleaning, then seeing the dentist for less than 2 minutes.) They offer me this non-covered oral cancer $creening for $41, which I reluctantly accept. This place is all about their fancy gadgetry. She used this one contraption which individually scanned each tooth. This woman then tells me I have 13 cavities. Get the f**k outta here! Keep in mind, flawless dental history for last 30+ years. Then she did some gum test which felt like she shoved a needle in 6 different spots around every single tooth while spouting off these random numbers to an incompetent dental assistant who couldn't figure out how to put the data into the computer. So after that ordeal, I'm told I need this super-duper cleaning on my gums that involves LASERS. Oooh lasers! How can I say no to that? So now more than an hour has gone by. Dentist has left. I ask assistant, am I going to get my cleaning? "Ummmm no. we don't have any time for that." What?? This was an 8 o' clock appointment. She says I can come back at 1pm. Some people work, lady. But thanks for allowing me the opportunity to take off more time and return later. "Oh wait that 1 o' clock can't happen today." Well thanks for even mentioning it. So no cleaning (What I came for!) Now it's back to the front desk for check out. I ask is it normal to NOT get a cleaning when you come in for that. She said that can happen. She prints me up a sheet showing what all of the treatments will cost me out of pocket. That gum cleaning would be $140. Then they want to see me in 8-9 weeks for a follow up with lasers, that's almost $400. Then the 13 cavities, more than 900 bucks. Then you see how pushy they get. "Oh we do have that one o' clock today. Should we do that?" No, I'll just call and let you know. "How about tomorrow at 7?" No I'll just call and let you know. "Sounds good, oh the next available is next week, should I schedule it for then?" Dude! I told the woman I would call them and let them know what worked for me. Don't let Dr. Graham fool you. They use fancy technology as a façade in my opinion. After reading the other reviews, it looks like they do shoddy work all the time. I'm happy that I didn't proceed with any treatment. Would most likely have to write another review. They just want your money. Just won't be getting mine (and thankfully they didn't get a dime for this visit). So.... I get a bill in the mail. Get ready for this shit. That cancer screening and those x-rays... nowhere to be seen. Cool, right? Instead, this 'C U Next Tuesday' has me down for some procedure I didn't receive, let alone even know what it was. Had to google it. This B-word has the gall to try and charge me for like $800 for a make believe procedure. I called the office. Told them to delete all of my information, y'all are crooks, might even get a lawyer. Worst dentist ever. Charged my wife around $10,000 for several procedures and messed up almost all of them. 5 years later, 5 years of continuous and gradually increasing pain, my wife has seen another dentist and needs an apicoectomy to reverse the damage done to her by Dr Graham. They actually asked my wife if she had her tooth done in another country because it doesn't meet the US standards. Before seeing Dr Graham, my wife had no pain in her head and jaw. For five years now her muscles have gradually tightened bc of the terrible job that Dr Graham did to her mouth and has cause irreversible nerve damage. Hopefully this apicoectomy will provide a sliver of relief. Do Not visit this practice. I encouraged my wife to sue many times, but she will not. I just hope one day the pain is gone read more

The moment I walked in and was ignored by the receptionist (her and coworkers were trying to decide what type of tamales to order), I should have left before they had the chance to overcharge me. They made me feel like they were really helping my dental health by providing these services only to find out later that insurance didn't cover many of them because they were not necessary and I was stuck with even higher bills than I anticipated. If you are looking for an HONEST business, look elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the nice facilities. read more

On the recommendation of my mom, I went to this office two years ago after not going to the dentist for quite a while. I expected that I would need some work done. To my surprise, I was told I had early periodontal disease and would need an expensive (over $1,000) laser treatment on my gums. I was also told I needed a crown and some fillings immediately in order to prevent a root canal, and had two fillings and two more crowns that needed to be done. I paid for the laser treatment, fillings and a crown, but put off the other work since I had just dropped over $3,000 to get that work done. I was given a treatment plan for the other procedures (two crowns and two fillings) and the quoted price was over $3,500! Fast forward to last week. I tried a different dentist after several coworkers recommended the same place. This dentist said the crown that was done at Dr. Graham's office two years ago is not good work (it's not even touching my gum on one side), but most insurance won't cover a crown on the same tooth unless it's been at least five years. So we are "watching" that crown that I paid over $1,600 for. In addition, I was told that I do need two fillings and a crown, but the other crown that Dr. Graham's office insisted I need is not necessary. My new dentist said she'd much prefer to do an onlay because most of the tooth is still in good shape. My new dentist quoted me $1,400 for the work that Dr. Graham wanted to charge me over $3,500 for! She also offers payment plans, and they make the crowns in their office so it's all done on the same day (no temporary crowns and extra hours in the dental chair.) I would NEVER recommend going to Dr. Graham. You will most certainly get ripped off, and possibly told you need work that is unnecessary. It's not worth it. Find someone else, and avoid this office at all costs or you'll literally pay for it! read more

In 2017 I was advised by Dr. Graham's staff that I had 6 cavities and needed 2 crowns. I was shocked to say the least because I have never had many dental issues at all. It was so much money and time to have all the work done that I postponed doing anything. Fast forward 2 years, when I finally have dental insurance and a new dental office next to my new workplace. Now today at my first appointment at the new dentist, a shock again: I have no cavities and nothing to suggest I need any crowns at all. I asked 3 times, are you sure I don't have any cavities: No ma'am, nothing to suggest that on all the x-rays we did today. I can only thank God I didn't I have the money or the time to do all the work Dr. Graham wanted to do 2 years ago. The dental hygienists here are trained to SELL and SCARE. When I went in for a chipped tooth, the hygienist told me I'd need a rootcanal. Sure enough, I did NOT (thankfully) but you can imagine my fear for a good 30 minutes waiting for the doctor to review my x-ray. They have the latest technology, it seems, but that doesn't mean they are the most skilled or advanced experts in dentistry. My husband had a $75 overpayment and no one told us, for almost a year! We'll be switching to someone who isn't capitalizing on the pain of others, or pushing their own agenda. read more

I am very lucky compared to some of the people here, apparently! I don't currently have insurance and there was some sort of deal going on with a cheap consultation followed by a free teeth cleaning. The receptionists were very friendly although I had to schedule my teeth cleaning twice because apparently they didn't put it in the first time, or didn't have it on file? I still don't know what that's about. Anyways, I had a pretty large amount of tartar on my teeth(not having dental insurance will make you not go in for cleanings) so they ended up charging me for the cleaning since it would have to be more thorough to remove all of it. They were going to schedule the polish(which was still free) for another day to let my gums heal but decided to do it the day of, and I'm glad they did because I really wasn't interested in returning a third time. Overall the service was good but not great. I'm giving it three stars because nothing stood out to me as anything but "okay", along with the whole charging me when they said they had a deal going. read more

I visited Dr. Graham's office this past Friday for my check-up and cleaning. Tracy was the dental hygienist who assisted me. This was a very pleasurable experience for me! Tracy was very friendly and personable and kept me engaged in conversation while cleaning my teeth. Dr. Graham came in very briefly to visit with me and look me over, and remembered what day of the week and time that I like making my appointments. Upon my departure, I was introduced to Kay. Kay had been trying to reach me by phone to revise my appointment time. We finally were able to connect by phone, and she was very friendly and personable. Kay and I spoke for a few moments before I departed Dr. Graham's office. The office staff here at Dr. Graham's office is always friendly and willing and able to make the patient's visit a pleasant one. read more

I have been a patient of Emily Graham for over 30 years. Emily is the best dentist I have ever been too. She takes her time and her level of care is superior. In fact, I have lived in Las Vegas for the last ten years and still use Dr. Graham for my dental services. I would recommend Dr. Graham to anyone looking for a superior dental experience. The office is immaculate, the staff is very friendly and the hygienists are as professional as Dr. Graham. I had a situation arise where I had a broken tooth. Went to a dentist in Las Vegas. The Vegas dentist recommended a very expensive specialty root canal and crown. I had hesitations and waited for my next trip to Houston and called Dr. Graham. Her calendar was booked but she made time for me. After an examination, her recommendation was simply to pull the tooth since it was an upper tooth in the very rear of my mouth, it wouldn't be visible and I didn't risk further complications from the crown which would result in more expensive dental work. I agreed. Emily extracted the tooth and my problems were solved. Trust is important when it comes to dental services and I trust Dr. Graham 100%. Thanks Dr. Graham and the staff for yet again a great experience. Love the lemon mouthwash. read more

Wow I will never recommend this office to anyone. The staff is very nice but the dental work and billing is pretty bad. I came to Dr. Grahams office for the first time for a tooth ache. Each of the staff members I saw that day were shocked at my fractured tooth and could not believe I have been living with this tooth ache for so long. They also told me that I needed a gum treatment for the periodontal disease that I had. I was told I needed at root canal and crown. At that initial visit, I was asked by the good dentist why I was resistant to having had my 4 molars removed. I am over 40 and was told that I should have already had them removed and that she could arrange for me to have a root canal , my molars removed, and a gum treatment all at the same time. She noticed that I grew anxious about the news and offered IV sedation. She let me know that it would take a couple of days to recover but that I could be back at work without a problem. I took off from work for two days so that I would have time to recover only to find that the surgeon refused to take out my wisdom teeth. He asked why I insisted on having them out at my age. I told him the dentist recommended it. He also told me it would take at least 7 days to recover from the swelling I would have after having to cut away much of the bone to remove my molars. Two of them are not even erupted. The other two are partially erupted. I recovered from the root canal and the trauma of being told two different opinions about my wisdom teeth. It took over one month to get my crown and in that time the temporary feel out 5 times. the day after the final time they glued the temporary I started to have significant pain in my gum and it became swollen. I called their after hours line and did not receive a call back for over 24 hours. I took off from work yet again to have it checked. Now it turns out that I have a tooth infection which will require another root canal. Seriously, I just had X-rays which shows the dying tooth. Why was that not picked up on initial evaluation. I go back for another root canal - FUN. At that time they do the gum treatment. I was not set up for a follow up as it was documented for me to do so in the dentist notes two weeks later. I have to call to ask when I am supposed to come back. But guess what the first crown one month after being cemented , falls out while I am brushing and flossing! I call and Dr. Graham says she reviewed Dr. Bonham's notes and he used the wrong cement for the type of crown I have. All of this and I was told to pay for the root canal, molar extractions, and sedation up front. I had additional services of a second root canal and gum cleaning. I have a credit but no final bill. I was told they owe me some but would credit it to any future services or they can transfer it to a family member. When I asked for reimbursement they said they need to sit down with me and go over line by line charges with me because I was never charged for molar extractions. Remember, I paid upfront. The great inconsistencies, inconveniences, and poor dental work which required multiple trips back and more time off from work coupled with the overcharging for services ( some which were not rendered) prompted me to write this review. I think people should know and be cautious. read more

Avoid this place! I completely agree with the other review. I went here for simple filling paid over $200 for 5 mins of work, and the filling literally came off my tooth in less than 24 hrs! I went back as it was obviously bad dental work, they repaired the filling but told me I needed a night guard along with a possible crown for thousands of dollars. I immediately went to another dentist, they couldn't believe the horrible dental work, and even suggested I file a claim with the dental board. Please avoid this place and find a reputable dentist. read more

This office disguises itself as a "Christian" practice where the customer comes first, disgustingly this could not be further from the truth. After excellent reviews from other dentists I was told at Dr. Graham's office that my teeth were in very poor condition and step sold a number of services I didn't need. I ordered a night guard from them, it took three tries and three trips to her office to get just the molds right. Avoid this place at all cost...otherwise it will cost $$$$$$$ you a lot. read more

I agree with all the reviews. I received Dr. Grahams services for a few years. She is very nice and we thought she meant good... unfortunately, every time we went there we left with a list of work that according to them needed to be done. We switched dentists and the case is totally different. We haven't paid for extra work ever since. We sometimes had some work done not very efficiently or unnecessary... for instance, they had me order a retainer for my young son, a week or two later when it was ready we went back and they found out that the molar was already growing in and the retainer was not needed. $700 dls for a retainer that was never used! That was the last straw!!! Yes, beware! You will end up paying a lot more than what the insurance covers. read more

I moved into the area and into 2010 was looking for a dentist. Saw dr. Graham in the magazine "Living." I decided to give her a try. Went to my appointment and was very impressed with the place and the staff seemed to be very nice. Dr. Graham examined me and told me I had 11 teeth that need to be worked on. Some with cavities others that had silver fillings she wanted to replace with porcelain fillings because she said they were old. Dr. Graham also kept pushing for me to get for veneers and brought out the colors for me to look at. I told her I didn't need veneers. Also she said that I needed some work on my gums. Let me say that I have never in my entire life gone to the dentist and needed more than one or two fillings done. Most of the time I got a clean bill of health. Foolishly I let her work on my teeth. She cut my gums (my sister who is a dental hygienist up north told me I should not have let her do that because that is permanent.) she also filled several cavities. One of them was in my wisdom tooth. (I have all four wisdom teeth still.) Well I did have 4 wisdom teeth until the tooth she filled she ended up cracking. She did not know she cracked that wisdom tooth. I had gone back to her a couple times because I was experiencing pain and she kept sanding down on the work she had done but never realize that she had cracked of the tooth. I went to another dentist, the one my husband was using, and that dentist told me the tooth was cracked and we had To have it pulled because it was too far gone. As for the last 5 cavities that she said I had, this office said that my teeth did not require filling cavities at that time. Since I've been going to this new dentist, I have had two cavities filled. Dr. Graham's office is nice as were the refreshments that were available. The staff seemed nice as well. But as for Dr. Graham, I felt like she was all about showing. She was polite when talking to me and seemed somewhat friendly, but with the overall experience I had, I would not trust her with my mouth again. Please do yourself a favor, if you are looking at possibly using her services, and do your research and really pay attention to experiences from other people's reviews. So, I first contacted Dr. Graham's office looking for Zoom whitening as my DDS did not offer "in office" whitening. Instead I was using trays & solution that were not giving me results I wished for. My previous DDS was about to install a bridge in the front, and did not wish to buy a dull colored bridge to match my own. Zoom is not a cheap process, but I didn't care at that point. So, I met with J.J. in Dr. Graham's office & she warned me to save my money. Zoom was not going to give me my desired look. Instead, J.J. walked me through a series of questions in an interview to determine what I was looking for long term. Not just a quick patch. Later I read some reviews about Dr. Graham's practice, I was disturbed. But then, as I looked & read each of the reviews closely, I began began to realize that these reviews had little or nothing to do with cosmetic or even general dentistry. One star?? Because while a woman said Dr. Graham & staff are "amazing," she found JJ she seems very friendly at first but then was "rude and disrespectful" to her?" Another one star begins with "My dental appointment was scheduled for 8:30. They did not come get me till almost 8:45." Seriously? You had to wait an entire 15 minutes? "Trained to upsell?" Pulleeaasse!! Then someone wrote, "Don't be fooled by nice surroundings." Really?? I wasn't fooled, I was impressed with cleanliness & current & State of the Art equipment. What became obvious to me is this, some people use the review system to lash out, even scores & wage vendettas when their ego is bruised. Besides, I noticed also that these were old reviews. 3 + years. As I said, I was interviewed. I was asked specifically what my needs & desires were. So when we spoke of implants & costly veneers, was that an upsell? Hardly.. I'm age 60, staff was merely trying to meet "my" needs & desires that were first gleaned from the interview. My treatment has commenced & I'm very pleased with everyone that I have so far come into contact with. More importantly though, is that I am extremely pleased with the professional work that has been done so far by Dr. Graham & Dr. Bonin. I'll write another installment as my work progresses. My wife will also be seeing Dr. Graham for her first time this month & will also share her experience. I went to Dr. Graham's office after not having been to the dentist in two years. I had received a mailer where I could get an exam & x-rays for around $100. I've always had an excellent dental history, nothing serious other than some fillings, so I was absolutely SHOCKED when I was told I had early periodontal disease, needed a crown, and some other fillings. The estimate was $2600! I left in tears, wondering how I was ever going to be able to afford it since my insurance wouldn't pay for any of it. After asking around, several friends informed me that they had had a bad experience at this same office--work not done right, outrageous estimates, etc. One of those friends recommended her dentist to me and I went last week. To my surprise, I did NOT need a crown and I only need to fill some areas where there has been gum recession. (In addition, I was told I should wear a night guard). The estimate WITH the night guard was $863. I walked out of that office with a smile on my face, knowing I had found the right dentist. So as nice as Dr. Graham's office staff was, I would not recommend this practice. It seems they are just out to make money. read more

After having been referred to this facility when my dentist of decades retired... I was hopeful. My previous dentist was one of great ethics and standards of care. He was snowed when he thought this clinic would treat his patients the same. This facility literally nickels and dimes the client. They up charge at every corner. When filling a small cavity for my 10 yr old son - they nicked his nerve - causing him much pain. My younger son had a tiny cavity filled which fell out in 3 mos. They suggested 1000's of $$ of work for my mother which was not warranted. I have since found a better dentist who is more of a minimalist and not after nickeling and diming me and my insurance tab. read more

Her expertise in cosmetic dentistry literally changed my daughter's life!! The staff in Dr. Graham's office loves what they do and it most definitely shows by how they interact with the patients and each other. My entire family goes to Dr. Graham... Be aware that the dental assistants are instructed to sell products(whether necessary or not) and will not ask but assume you will purchase. When I became a Medicare recipient it was suggested that I find another dentist, but was referred to other dentists and none accepted Medicare. Every year I send my 2 grown children in for teeth cleanings as a birthday gift to them since they do not have dental insurance. I've always used my dentist for this, but I decided to use Dr. Emily Graham this time because she offered a special $77 cleaning and exam for new patients. I sent them both in on the same day, but separate appointments. They were both offered cosmetic procedures, shown before & after pictures (what they would like like after elective cosmetic procedures), and offered botox as well as other aesthetic procedures -- mind you, they are 22 and 24 years old with perfectly fine teeth and both had braces as teenagers. Xrays were taken but Dr. Graham's office did NOT perform cleanings on either. Instead, they were both given quite hefty "estimates" for extensive deep cleanings, multiple cavities and follow up procedures adding up to thousands of dollars. They've both had their teeth cleaned every year and we had never heard of such bad dental diagnosis on either of them before this visit. I instructed both of them to leave immediately and I had several phone conversations with the staff & manager of the clinic. Despite my disputes and in depth phone conversations with Dr. Graham's office, my credit card was charged $77 for each. So it added up to $154 for my adult kids to waste hours of their day (off work and out of school) and have NOTHING done to benefit them. Total rip off alert. After sending them back to my original dentist, their teeth were cleaned, xrays done, and they were sent home with a clean bill of dental health. This place is a huge scam. I went here for a cleaning. I visit the dentist twice a year. I was immediatley told I needed veneers costing over $7,000. I denied the service and said I was just there for a cleaning. I went here three times and never walked out without paying out of pocket. After the third time I had had enough. My last visit the hygienist came in, didn't say her name or anything about the work she'd be performing. The prior visit was a deep cleaning so I know I didn't need another one. When I was checking out, I was told I owed money. I asked for what and she told me I had a deep cleaning done. My new dentist has many clients with similar stories about Emily Graham. I must admit that I am somewhat fearful of the dentist. From the time I walked into the office the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. To be frank I'm shocked by the previous reviews. Dr. Emily Graham and her staff are incredible! From the moment I arrived I was greeted professionally and with a very sympathetic touch. I was in need of significant dental work and had put the process off far too long. From the receptionist, to the dental hygienist to Dr. Graham herself they made what I thought would be a agonizing experience into first class treatment. They recommended Lumineers which I was unfamiliar with to correct several damaged teeth which I was terribly self conscientiousness of. They took the time to educate me about the benefits, costs and rewards. By the end of the second visit I had a new smile and couldn't be happier. I would strongly recommend her to friends, family and anyone who feels that they should get five star VIP service from their dentist! read more

A dental practice that is open on Fridays, and perhaps that's the only 'pro' I can think of here. The practice is very money-centered, frequently trying to sell sealants, extra and optional services. You never know which dentist you'll get, though we never had Emily Graham, and the turnover seems high. Filling wasn't done correctly, tooth was very painful, and it was revised by another dentist weeks (again, have never even seen Emily Graham) later who kept making sure to say the previous job was not his work. I have no intention of ever going back. Money seems to be the very highest value here, of top importance. read more

It saddens me to write this review but like the other reviewers - I have had similar experiences. The billing and scheduling and office communication is bad. Even though I have dental insurance and always paid whatever amount the office staff told me to pay on the day of service, I ALWAYS received another bill from them weeks later with an additional amount due. This has not happened at my new dental office. They also stopped in the middle of fillings for my daughter - put in temporary fillings and referred us to a pediatric dentist. They suggested we go right away, which we did - but they neglected to send my daughters x-rays for over a month despite calls from me and the pediatric referral's office. I would call and they would take message and never call me back. On one occasion they waited until I got to the office to check my insurance only to discover that my insurance had changed and of course I didn't have the new information with me so that visit was cancelled. read more
