I had an very bad experience first time with expert and will not go back which is unfortunate…read morebecause she seemed very nice I scheduled an appointment and I came in showed Wanda pictures of what I wanted I ended up with too many highlights from a partial foil which sat on top of the rest of my hair because the way the foils came straight from the top of my head and the color was a very brassy blonde and she charged me 60$ extra dollars to tone which didn't make any difference with the shop lights it was hard to tell when I left so I paid 150$ and got home and cried i did not like the color my hair was very frizzy and not styled so I called to fix it I get scheduled with Wanda again and I just wanted to throw red on it at this point to cover up the damages and color and she put the color on for maybe 10 minutes and washed my hair it didn't fully cover my blonde or pick up a tone because she washed it out so soon then left me with washed out red tone and fuzzy bangs to walk out and bangs where a bit thicker then wanted so I talked with manger and she said she seen nothing wrong and was going to allow me to be unsatisfied and leave until I asked for half the money back to take else where I didn't want color on top of color to fix it I would not go back I would warn anyone who wants to go there to make sure you get what you want the first time luckily Wanda didn't have me sign a consent form for the coloring because I wouldn't have got anything in return but wasted money and messed up hair :(

I made all of my 2026 appts in January 2026 so I had the appts I needed for the year. I go in approximately every 6 weeks. In March I made it for my Birthday so I would have my hair done for celebrating. The receptionist calls to cancel my appointment because my stylist is going on an unplanned vacation (one of their kids gave them the trip as a gift for Christmas so why did they even schedule my appt in March if they knew in December they would be gone) and doesn't even try to fit me in, just says I can schedule with another stylist. Let me add to this that I have extremely difficult hair to cut and style. Not just "anyone" can do it. So I'm left high and dry for my Birthday. Now I have a June 1st appt scheduled and I find out today, May 26, that another vacation has taken priority over my appt and again they cannot fit me in before he leaves. When someone charges $108 for a haircut you expect some professionalism and customer service. Could the stylist call and try to fit me in? Nope. Makes the receptionist do his dirty work. Maybe he should just retire and vacation all he wants rather than make appts he doesn't keep. He never used to do until this last year. I am finding there are much friendlier, very talented and more customer service oriented salons in White Bear than this one and they aren't as expensive. Would not recommend based on the non existent concern about their clients schedules/needs. Overpriced for what you don't get in my opinion.
