My server was very candid with me when I asked her about various menu items. She steered me away from a couple of things I was considering. They weren't bad food items, just not what I was looking for after explaining to her what I was wanting. I very much appreciated that level of honesty. The food was exactly what I'd expect from a café like this - average food but good food. I really enjoyed the breading on my chicken fried chicken; and, the mashed potatoes tasted like homemade. We were both kind of taken a back because first of all what we received looked nothing like this picture that's on the menu. The crab claws were maybe the size of your thumbnail. I'm talking you got about an 8th to a quarter teaspoon of crab meat. We each ate one and shook our heads at how very little meat was on there. When the waiter came back by, we let them know that we could not eat those, and the statement made was, "yeah, they suck." I wish they would've said something when we ordered them, but nevertheless, they were taken off of our ticket. The artichoke dip that we had was delicious as were the fries, it was just disappointing that our main protein was a letdown.
