Service service service service. This is a family owned place. We actually left another place where we had waiting for so long to feed these kids and finally we just walked out. When we walked in here they sat us immediately, and almost instantly brought coffee. If you can see the smiles on their faces for just getting a freaking piece of toast, sometimes my friends, it's the way you treat others, not how fancy your business is that gets you a five star rating. From a momma to a business that we would call a whole in the wall, you did your job and you did it so well. Affordable, delicious, fast and friendly. Not much more I could ask for. Traveling through the area found a breakfast spot. Little mom and pa stop place. Very small inside and crowded but in a good way. Service was great only one waitress on duty attending everyone's needs. Food was typical America style. It was reasonably priced and tasted good. The only thing is they forgot about my pancake, but didn't charge me for it. Stop by if you are in the area. read more

Looking for a place to go between early voting and the Razorback Football game on TV. Pleasantly surprised. Yes, this restaurant is tucked away in Gravel Ridge on Hwy 107. I have driven past it for years and today I decided to take my chances. I'll not lie, I was afraid it would be your typical greasy spoon north of the river breakfast joint. Not at all! The restaurant is very clean, and cozy. My husband and I sat down and enjoyed our fresh cup of coffee. He went with the Ultimate Omelet and was very happy with his choice. Not greasy. So many restaurants serve grease coated omelets, not Sunny Side Up Cafe. I ordered a Pecan & Blueberry pancake. It was delish, I did not use any syrup. I also ordered the Breakfast Casserole which was very flavorful with the bacon and cheese. Yes, we will be back. read more

I got the egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich on toast with hashbrowns. i'll give it a 5 star because there was absolutely nothing wrong the visit! but, i didn't love the sandwich. i think it was because the cheese to other ratio wasn't good enough. there needed to be more cheese on it but it was good! my hashbrowns were phenomenal and i loved them. my boyfriend got the pancakes and bacon, and the pancakes were very big and fluffy! although kind of a weird color. the service was very good, the 2 servers in there were attentive and nice and i loved how they helped each other. average prices and i'm glad to have another small local business to support. read more

Great little Breakfast only Café in Gravel Ridge. This town is in need of sprucing up a bit and Sunny Side Up Café is just right for doing just that and great for the locals. Not easy living in an area that has no grocery store!! Oh well, back to my review. Clean, friendly, and great service. Try the perfectly cooked cheese omelette platter. Add in's are .75 cents extra. I added tomatoes and olives. Delicious! Biscuit and gravy were good but don't believe the biscuits were handmade. Sigh... The grits were nice and plentiful. Coffee was excellent!! People love this place with every table almost full. Let's support our local businesses. You will enjoy going back in time to a Breakfast only, quaint and cozy, cool little place in town. read more

First off they were VERY RUDE plus their was no sausage in the sausage biscuits and gravy and the 12 dollar hash brown casserole was burnt. Not impressed at all. read more

What an amazing breakfast! Price was great for how much food you get. We had passed by one day, and went back a couple weekends later. Friendly staff, during the middle of a rain storm, and breakfast was soon served. We had Pancake, blueberry pancake, biscuit and gravy, grits and eggs, and toast. There was nothing that wasn't consumed (okay some at home later). Leftovers were still delicious that night. The pancakes were amazing, and like nothing I've ever had. I highly recommend this establishment, and I'm definitely going back soon. There's still stuff on the menu I haven't tried yet! read more

We arrived around 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. The place was crowded but clean. Our order was taken in a timely manner. Although our coffee was refreshed, our food took over an hour to arrive. The portions were underwhelming compared to the prices. My side of sausage (1 piece) was the most flavorful part of my meal, but was chewy and the texture was off due to an obvious microwave burn. The staff was polite, but we will not return. read more
