I'm not sure when it happened but the pizza over the past year or so from these locations has been less than par. Still very edible but pizza is lacking crispness, very oily and sloppy. Ordered buffalo wings, was impressed with the quantity of wings but the quality definitely takes a hit as they were a little fattier then usually, also tastes like they were cooked in a regular oil fryer rather then the better option of pressure cooker. read more

This is now Emma's Downtown. I'm still a little skeptical of the food, because I've only had one (bad) meal so far, and also because I was there when it had the Emma's sign out front but was still O'Brien's. Someone ordered chicken fingers and the bartender turned around and cooked it right there using the frialator behind the bar! That's all changed of course since they've finally gone through with the full renovation and have a wraparound bar in the middle of the room. But I didn't like how they had the sign out front for so long while it was clearly still operating as O'Brien's. I even overheard the bartender telling some regulars how a family with little kids walked in and sat down thinking it was Emma's and when she explained to them the whole hot dog/chicken finger behind the bar thing they decided to get up and go somewhere else (to the relief of both parties involved I'm sure!). It definitely still gets the O'Brien's crowd- the same regulars are there at the bar- but it will be interesting to see if that changes in the long-run now that it's an Emma's establishment. I noticed one of the bartenders from the Rte. 104 location was working as manager so that was reassuring. He was always really nice and on top of things. Usually we'll just go there for drinks, but we were there most recently for the $0.99 Cheese Pizza deal. I forget what night of the week it is, but you can get them after 8:00, and only at the bar. There are plenty of other good things on the Emma's menu that I would have rather gotten but I decided to be economical and just get a small cheese pizza since it was so cheap. Once it arrived I realized why it was so cheap- they must use lower-quality ingredients so they don't lose money on the deal. The pizzas served for this promotion are NOT the same as the regular pizza (which is really good- although very cheesy). It reminded me of school lunch pizza where the cheese is all dry and crusty on top. It was so gross I could only eat two small slices. My boyfriend doesn't care of course- so I let him have the rest. Oh and they have weird rules about this promo- you can't take the left-overs home, and you can't take any of them To-Go. I have to give credit to the bartender because she was really nice and even though she had obnoxious drunken college students to deal with, she was still pleasant to me and my boyfriend. Even if you don't order the $.99 Cheese Pizza promo on these nights (which I recommend you don't!) it's still worth going to witness the hysteria. I saw probably 50+ cheese pizzas come out of the kitchen throughout the course of the evening. Worst food I have ever had in my whole life! Not one good thing about Emma's. I just ordered pizza not to long ago and it was greasy, soggy, cold, and raw. I also heard that the drink dispensers are not cleaned. The employees here are not nice and do not have a good attitude. This is about all EMMA'S RESTURANTS THE OWNERS POLICY On Saturday May 02, 2015 we went to EMMA'S Bridgewater center. They had buy 1 get 1 appetizer 1/2 off. We purchased 2 appetizer s (burger sliders w/ French fries and a boneless chicken basket) that we paid full prize and a basket of French fries that was the 1/2 price, side order of coleslaw and 2 soda and a coffee. At the end before getting the bill we ordered a pizza to go on a separate check (that didn't happen) waitress brought the pizza and we asked for the rest of our food to go. Waitress and the manager stated the owners policy because we ordered the French fries at 1/2 price we could not take home the 2 other dishes we had paid full price. Apparently both the waitress and the manager were confused. I stated several time I paid full price for the 2 dished (in which 1 had French fries with it) and because we order the extra fries I could not take home my food. I WILL NEVER EAT AT ANOTHER EMMA'S AGAIN. I even said that to the manager she stated I should complain to the owner or go on YELP. Then the manager and the waitress realized they made a mistake since we were taking home 2 dishes we had paid full price for which came with French fries. Not even an apology. It gets worse we paid for the food but left forgetting my credit card since I was upset about what just happened. I went back in the waitress slammed the card on the bar with bad attitude!!! because we did not tip her. (like she deserved one by the way we had 3 different waitresses.) . Myself and three friends went here to get late lunch. We immediately got our drink orders taken (the bartender put the tap all the way into the mug and sloshed beer everywhere!) but had to ask three times for menus. We ordered 2 sandwiches, a quesadilla, and a pizza and when waitress asked if we wanted separate checks we said yes. Sandwiches and quesadilla came out in decent time but about 10mins after when the pizza out it was not what we ordered. She went back to the kitchen and then grabbed a menu and had us point out what we ordered even though she originally wrote it down (it wasn't even a special order. It was a pizza straight off the menu!!!). I'm a waitress and understand mistakes happen but there was no apology, only sass. She put the order back in and gave us our check which still showed the wrong pizza and was not separated for each person. She also tried to double charge my bf for Keno. When he asked if she could check the ticket in the machine she placed it on the bar and walked away for 10mins and didn't check it until he asked again. She also argued with him about what kind of beer he ordered. Instead of just apologizing for pouring the wrong drink, she tried to tell him that he had been drinking Bud the whole time. Except for when we first walked in, it was like they were avoiding looking at us. We could hardly get anyone's attention. Finally we got so fed up we just asked to pay and leave and they started arguing with us. We explained that we had been ignored and they claimed they were "Checking for intoxication levels" (it was a party weekend and there was drunk college kids everywhere) yet we had gotten our drinks immediately and were more peeved about not getting menus. This place is dirty, the staff has terrible attitudes (except one male bartender who unfortunately left soon after we arrived). They claimed they were a mess because we arrived during a shift change but the only person who left was the male bartender and the two women we dealt with were the same. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Food may be (sort of) cheap but it's not worth it. read more

I like the bar style pizza. It's cheap and good. Decent bar, low prices, lots of tv's. What's the problem? Only one I can see is lack of parking at this location. Been to the other locations and it's not an issue at those two, only at this one. But otherwise all three are fine for what they are, i.e decent suburban pubs you can have a good pizza and watch a game or play keno or whatever. read more

Moved to the area and pretty happy that this place is right around the corner. I've been several times now and there was only one time I wasn't a fan of my meal (chicken wrap with honey mustard). The honey mustard sauce was just not good so it ruined the wrap. My mom left her purse there one time and we went back for it the next day and they had set it aside for us. I haven't been on this site for about a year, but I see they took my last review of Emma's Downtown off the site. There wasn't any derogatory remarks, swear words or insults to the staff. Like Jack Nicholson said in A Few Good Men, "You can't handle the truth"! I did complain about how they had the place closed for a long time (few weeks) and they never even posted anything on the door about it. I finally found out by calling the other Bridgewater location, that there was a water leak and I mentioned to them that their wasn't any sign about the situation on the door, but a few notes people posted about their concerns as well. I also questioned the manager one time, of why she was closing the place so early (about 9pm), when they had about 12 people at the bar? She stated it was her prerogative and if we didn't like it, we don't have to come back. This was ongoing with her and she would close at all different times, just when she felt like it... I don't know how you can run a business like that?! And because of the hours we worked, sometimes we weren't able to get there until a little later for dinner and then find out they closed the kitchen and were closing for the evening. Very disappointed, we will never ever go back to the Bridgewater Downtown location, even though it's closer to where we live! We do however go to the RT-104 (Pleasant St) Bridgewater location once in awhile, it has been lately better. BUT, Emma's USED to have the best Meatball Sub of anywhere, but now it's just so so. They used to have whole meatballs on them, not they cut them in half and you can hardly taste them any more, they are just lost in the big crispy Italian roll (which the roll is delicious). I would have rather they raised the price by 50 or 75 cents, than cut the meatballs in half. read more

Being in the restaraunt business nearly my whole life, I have learned that guest accommodation is very important to a guest when it comes to whether or not they return and within 5 minutes I knew I am not going to return. My fiance and i walked in the door at precisely 3:52 knowing about the pizza special only until 4. After rushing to get there in time after working over 8 hours to enjoy a nice pizza, they were not in a rush to help me. We sat at the door waiting to be told whether we seat ourselves or if we were seated by a host/hostess as there was know signage stating this. We sat down at 3:57 after being told we could sit anywhere about 5 minutes later. Our waitress approached at 3:59 at which point I quickly asked if we could place our order to get the deal before 4. She asked what time it was and I told her 3:59. She then took the 1 minute we had to put the order in time to explain how as soon as it becomes 4 the button for the deal disappears. She said im sorry now its 4 and i wont be able to ring it in. Needless to say we did not get the pizza deal and paid full price for a crappy greasy pizza. Very dissapointing. Will not return to downtown location. Pleasant street is much better quality in food and workers. read more

I've been there a few times for drinks. The beers are decently priced I've gotten a pizza a few times and it hasn't been awful. Not great but not terrible after a few beers. My biggest gripe is the touch tunes jukebox. Every single time I've been there has been one person hogging the touch tunes jukebox playing the most God awful music. This man plays music that should never be played never mind in a public bar. I get that he pays for the music but I've seen other customers complain and get aggravated with the music choices but the staff seems not to care. Please unplug the jukebox during peak times (Friday and Saturday), it makes drinking and eating there unbearable. read more

The pizza dough looked and tasted like it was a bad frozen pizza and was not crusty at all and the sauce tasted like it had alcool in it.
