This place is amazing! My parents went here before and they brought me along this time, specifically for the hot honey tenders and onion strings. If you go, the tenders are an absolute must- we got 2 orders to go as well! We also got the chocolate pistachio martini and the Neil's lullaby alcoholic drinks- both amazing. My dad got 2 of the Neil's because it was so good. My mom's entree was fish and chips which was perfect. There wasn't a lot of extra batter on it which was great. My dad got the clam chowder bread bowl and barbecued steak tips and coleslaw. Both were incredible obviously. I got the smokehouse chicken sandwich which was, again, incredible. Lastly, we split one of their specials of the day which was toffee pudding with mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was so yummy but I didn't like the texture of the bread pudding (just my own weird thing, the flavor was still great). Their portions are HUGEEEEEE so you'll definitely need to-go boxes and extra room in the fridge. I saved my appetite all day to eat here and it was most definitely worth it. The service was great, all of the staff were very friendly. We went during the lunch rush on a Saturday so we had to wait about 30 minutes for inside seating. They do have outdoor tent seating with heat but we liked the look of the place inside and really wanted to sit there. We will absolutely be coming here again soon! read more

Stopped by for a quick light dinner. We shared an app and entree with two cocktails. Service was friendly and promptly. Food was decent tasting however their drinks were too diluted. I didn't taste any alcohol. We sat out in the patio which was nice. Two drinks with one app and one entree total $84 before tip. My boyfriend and I went on Thursday night. There was a short waitlist so we decided to sit at the bar. The place is small but cozy with warm lighting, wood tables and booths, giving it a tavern feel. They even have a few chalkboards with specials written on them, giving it a local and homey vibe. I ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich and thought it was perfect. Usually the bacon is just a small part of a club sandwich but this bacon was crispy and honestly carried the sandwich! I was able to eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day, a win win! It actually stayed really well the next day. I ordered the onion strings as a side, they were okay, but had a thick batter or flour flavor. Next time I will order the fries instead. I was impressed by the attentive and hardworking staff. Came here for lunch, was pretty busy. They have an enclosed outdoor seating area, as well as seating inside. They have a parking lot, but it is kind of cramped up. The selection of food for a bar, was SURPRISING, but also intriguing as the same time. For the Mediterranean tapas, and it was so so good. And only $20. The fish and chips also wasn't all breading like some places are. Liked the coleslaw as well. We will definitely stop in next time we are in town. read more

I've been going here for years and will always. It is an all around great place. However, this review is only for the cheeseburger. Had it the other day and was not impressed. It was overcooked and tasted like the meat had been frozen. My other big gripe was the plain untoasted white roll it comes on. If you are not serving burgers these days on a grilled Brioche, you're not in the game. Burgers are the simplest item on the menu to do really well. Please work on it. read more

Went to Maguire's in Easton last night for their Monday fried whole belly clam special, which we both ordered. They did not disappoint. Anyone from NE knows what a traditional fried clam plate looks like. A ton of fries under some clams, right?. Well, imagine that same plate filled the same but with clams only. That is exactly what showed up on the table. I've never taken fried clams home from a restaurant before but had to last night. In addition, I ordered onion rings instead of the traditional fries. Ellen ordered the fries. Both showed up on a separate platters. If you go there and leave hungry you're just not trying. The picture of the clam plate shows only about a third, if that, of what was on the platter when it arrived on the table, I was hungry. The onion strings (my preferred method of having fried onion) speaks for itself. We will be back. Will have to try their Scalop plate some Thursday night. Stephanie was our waitress and was just the right amount of attentiveness. Lastly, I also ordered a Jim Beam Whiskey sour, tall. Also excellent! I highly recommend this place. read more

I travled an hour and a half to go to this restaurant for my husban's birthday! It was fried clam Monday and that was his choice, I arrived at 6 o'clock along with 3 other people to celebrate! After we were seated and the waitress took our drink orders she came back to inform us they were out of clams! At that point there was not even a fisherma's platter you could order! We paid for our drinks and found another place to eat! When I called to complain I got here's my number...call me next time you come down and we'll save you some! Nothing! The holiday music was playing a bit too loudly for my old ears, which our server graciously turned down a bit. Decided on the cream of mushroom soup and the latkes. The soup was mushroomy and hot. The latkes needed to be fried a bit longer to be as crispy as I would have liked. The applesauce and sour cream accompaniment was ample (though I only really enjoy em with sour cream). Maguire's is the best restaurant ever! They the best nachos, mozzarella sticks, and the toll house dessert. Every time I come there I get those things. The mozzarella sticks don't the best cheese pulls but I still like them. I rate the mozzarella stick a 10/10 they are so good. The nachos are really good. I rate those a 9/10. The toll house sundaes have vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and a warm cookie at the bottom. This is the best sundae I ever had. The service is really good. The waiters listen to you, and respect you. The bathroom has no stalls though, just one toilet. But the bathrooms don't matter you should be there for the food. Maguire's also has outdoor seating. The flavor was so mild that it was almost bland but the tenders were so crispy and delicious, we mopped them all up! For my entree, I ordered the fish & chips and accidentally discovered the HOLY GRAIL OF TARTAR SAUCE!! Omg I cannot say enough good things about this homemade sauce. It was so smooth and creamy unlike most other tartar sauces with the relish chunks in it. I could not stop eating even after I was full because of this sauce. It tastes like it would pair well with anything, not just fish. They need to bottle it and sell it so I can have it at home! Looking for a delicious lobster roll? This is the place. Last Friday I stopped into Maguire's specifically to try their 8 ounce lobster roll. Sat at the bar on the corner seat so I could be seated without waiting. Time was about 7:30pm. The place was packed inside and out. A waitress bounced right over to take my order. "No need for a menu. I'll have the lobster roll." After substituting onion rings for ff, I was having trouble deciding on what beer I wanted. The stranger sitting to my left suggested a Corona. "Thank you sir. Good choice. " Waitress responded, "One Corona coming up ". Well, my experience at Maguire's that evening just got better. Since my neighbor had already broken the ice, the two of us started talking like old friends. My beer and lobster roll arrived within five, ten minutes. My first words to the waitress was, "Where is the roll? " Difficult for me to see underneath 8 oz of lobster. Now I know why she had set me up with a several napkins and a knife and fork. I was on my way home from work and happened to be cutting through Easton on the way back and I could not resist the urge to stop and order some honey hot tenders. I called my son and he wanted me to grab him some as well. I placed the order through phone for pick up to go. They were ready quick and were a generous portion hot and delicious as usual.
