Just love this place. We travel from Franklin. They have a fried scallop plate on Thursdays. Biggest scallops I've ever had. The dish is delicious. Hubby had the fish and chip, which was delicious as well.

My boyfriend and I went on Thursday night. There was a short waitlist so we decided to sit at the bar. The place is small but cozy with warm lighting, wood tables and booths, giving it a tavern feel. They even have a few chalkboards with specials written on them, giving it a local and homey vibe. I ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich and thought it was perfect. Usually the bacon is just a small part of a club sandwich but this bacon was crispy and honestly carried the sandwich! I was able to eat half and save the other half for lunch the next day, a win win! It actually stayed really well the next day. I ordered the onion strings as a side, they were okay, but had a thick batter or flour flavor. Next time I will order the fries instead. I was impressed by the attentive and hardworking staff. This place is a short drive from home so we will be back.

Mediterranean tapas platter and fish and chips

Came here for lunch, was pretty busy. They have an enclosed outdoor seating area, as well as seating inside. They have a parking lot, but it is kind of cramped up. The selection of food for a bar, was SURPRISING, but also intriguing as the same time. For the Mediterranean tapas, and it was so so good. And only $20. The fish and chips also wasn't all breading like some places are. Liked the coleslaw as well. We will definitely stop in next time we are in town.

Went to Maguire's in Easton last night for their Monday fried whole belly clam special, which we both ordered. They did not disappoint. Anyone from NE knows what a traditional fried clam plate looks like. A ton of fries under some clams, right?. Well, imagine that same plate filled the same but with clams only. That is exactly what showed up on the table. I've never taken fried clams home from a restaurant before but had to last night. In addition, I ordered onion rings instead of the traditional fries. Ellen ordered the fries. Both showed up on a separate platters. If you go there and leave hungry you're just not trying. The picture of the clam plate shows only about a third, if that, of what was on the platter when it arrived on the table, I was hungry. The onion strings (my preferred method of having fried onion) speaks for itself. We will be back. Will have to try their Scalop plate some Thursday night. Stephanie was our waitress and was just the right amount of attentiveness. Lastly, I also ordered a Jim Beam Whiskey sour, tall. Also excellent! I highly recommend this place.

Lobster Mac & Cheese and Shepards Pie

If you want to treat yourself, then you just have to make a special trip to an old favorite of mine to get a dish of Lobster Mac & Cheese! This meal was so creamy and delicious with just enough chunks of lobster and steamy pasta. The $27 price was well worth it. My friend ordered the Shepards Pie which was just as tasty. We didn't have room for dessert which was fine by me! We enjoyed the Irish pub style restaurant that was already decorated for St. Patty's Day.

Generous fish & chips and they don't skimp on anything, including the coleslaw!

Went back to Maguire's with a hankering for a Reuben, but got distracted by the specials board. The holiday music was playing a bit too loudly for my old ears, which our server graciously turned down a bit. Decided on the cream of mushroom soup and the latkes. The soup was mushroomy and hot. The latkes needed to be fried a bit longer to be as crispy as I would have liked. The applesauce and sour cream accompaniment was ample (though I only really enjoy em with sour cream). They weren't terribly authentic, but tasty nonetheless. My friend had a burger with onion strings--very generously portioned.

We went on a Saturday to find love music, which was an entertaining plus! Considering we were going for a brewery, we found the food options perfect for snacking or enjoying a casual dinner. Beer options on tap were of a wide variety, with us trying both sours. The fresh tart was overpowered by the Meyers lemon with none of the guava profile pulling through. The Morse was a fairly crushable cranberry "sour" that was well balanced if you needed to finish quickly as we did. Service was good with table service for the beer and food. They do payments at the table which is very convenient but did notice they're defaulted to 30% gratuity so just be aware for adjusting based on your experience if needed.

When we politely pointed it out, the server insisted it was correct ano argued with us, raising her voice and telling us it was a mocktail. We explained it was not listed as a mocktail and described the differences, but the interaction became tense and unprofessional. She eventually acknowledged the mistake but did not apologize for the error or her tone. Overall, the service was rude and disappointing, and I would not return. She was an older woman with brown hair.

Not having been to Doyles in ages I said let's give it a shot. We are equal distance to Brockton and Easton but decided S Easton We called and was told about 30 minutes which was perfect. It was a good call! Timed it well, piping hot and the meals traveled well back home Thats a big deal with take out in my opinion. Many times, we have eaten in at a restaurant and been happy but on the takeout or delivery it's not the same. In this case the Rueban marble toast was still warm and crispy on top, bottom piece a bit soggy but to be expected. The sandwich was enormous. I could only eat half the and only half my sweet potato fries. The fries were a bit soggy but still great. The cole slaw was great. In fact, I just reheated it the leftover, in the oven of course, for lunch and it was perfect. Made the fries crunchy. Other orders were lobster roll very expensive but delicious. Hey, whatever princess wants lol and my buddy got the fried stripped clam plate, and said it was good. Ordering out is always a big deal with the economy and rising food prices everyone needs to spend wisely. Doyles isn't cheap but it is fair, and we were happy with our choices, and everyone agrees its now on the short list of solid places.
