    Tuna tartare is excellent.

I am conservative with my stars but Emma's gets 4 from me because this is about the best dining Statesboro has to offer besides the private Country Club. The owner and chef is very good and the staff always tries very hard to please. The tuna tartare is always excellent and I get it every time. The duck is always fantastic and so is the shrimp and grits.

Terrible, slow service - on a night when they weren't even busy! Dawdling waitstaff.

I believe Jackson was our bartender. He was very nice and made an excellent drink The blackout 2.0 that I had yesterday evening was refreshing and very tasty. At this particular lounge, they do have a second floor that you can take a metal slide from the top floor to the second floor every now and then they do have games out, but it was a little bit chilly so they did close off the outside after we had dinner at the Savannah taco and tequila company we went upstairs for a drink. If you haven't been here, this lounge is located on top of one of the JW Marriott buildings. There is an elevator that takes you straight up to the sixth floor. 10/10

The Electric Moon is a fun spot, located on the sixth floor of one of the Savannah Plant buildings at the JW Marriott (I believe)--definitely more of a touristy place, given its location within the hotel. They have fantastic views of the Savannah River from the sixth-floor rooftop (or sky top lounge, as they call it). The cocktails were good. I ordered a spicy one (Can't tell you the name off the top of my head), but it was quality. The service was good, as the server was attentive and made sure we had what we needed. I was only there for 20 minutes or so, but overall, it's a good spot to enjoy river views, especially with all the boats coming and going from the port to the Atlantic.

I couldn't pick a favorite because everything felt like my favorite. As someone who loves Asian cuisine, they really delivered -- all the hitters were there and executed beautifully. The vibes were perfect -- smooth R&B when we arrived, then a live singer midway through dinner that made the night even more special. Romantic, intimate, and full date-night energy. A special shoutout to Claudia, who was such a great waitress -- warm, attentive, and made our evening feel seamless. We loved it so much I'm already planning to come back and try the regular menu.

Talk about a frustrating restaurant to find!…read more We were walking along the boardwalk, and I was in the mood for sushi. Naturally, I pulled up Yelp and found this place, which had great reviews. We decided to venture away from the area we had been exploring and walked across the street, only to find ourselves staring at a Chinese restaurant with absolutely no indication of where the sushi restaurant was located. We walked all the way to the right thinking we must have missed it, but still nothing. Then, almost by accident, we looked down an alleyway and there it was--hidden in plain sight. By this point, I was extremely hungry and definitely not in the mood for a game of hide-and-seek. After climbing a flight of stairs, we entered a very dark and intimate space with a small bar area. We usually prefer sitting at the bar, but there weren't any available seats, so the hostess seated us at a tiny round table that felt more like something you'd find in a café. The atmosphere was definitely giving romantic date-night vibes. We ordered two specialty sushi rolls. One was a mango roll, and the other had me sold the moment I saw the word truffle as a special. The truffle roll was easily my favorite, although both were delicious. I also ordered a passion fruit cocktail, which I'd rate a solid 9 out of 10. I don't normally go for sweet drinks, but when on Rome, why not? This was not overly sweet but still one and done for me. Since we were only in town for one night and wanted to experience as many places as possible, we stuck with the two rolls and drinks before heading back out to continue exploring. Overall, this place is incredibly cute, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. My only complaint is how difficult it was to find. If you're starving like I was, wandering around searching for the entrance might test your patience. Once you finally find it, though, it's worth the effort.

It's like you have known them forever. Once I mentioned I hadn't ate yet, and a resident came over with a tray of enchiladas. Someone gave me a handmade Hideaway figurine. My own family isn't this nice to me! You come here not knowing anyone, next thing you know, you're on the back of a golf cart in an RV crawl. Just wonderful guys- all of them. The friendliness is everywhere. I have not met one pretentious person in all the times I've gone. Everybody interacts with everybody. Not only that but the drive there is gorgeous. I particularly recommend RT 121. Green fields, pine trees, hardly any other cars. Just keep your eye on your speed ; ) There's something in every budget for accommodations. Access is tightly controlled so recommend having everything you need on coming in. It's to keep the riff-raff out, (but yet here I am?). You can still come in and out, but most people stay on property. I've left my stuff out many times and never give it a thought. Nobody is here that shouldn't be (they keep letting me come back?). It's easier getting everything settled online before arrival, including signing the online waiver, and booking your cabin, or camping space. There is a nominal $15/yr fee as well. The cabin's have a one time cleaning fee per stay. Even with the fees and the paperwork, the price is still reasonable. Knowing this up front made more sense. They do a lot of pot-lucks- bring something nice, they love that stuff. A lot of these guys can cook. ("Who made this and is he single?") They also have a take-out cafe by the pool. They usually have specials and everything I have ordered has been top notch. Keep an eye on the cafe hours, the cook wears a lot of hats on the grounds, so plan accordingly. They open and close a few times a day. They do not sell alcohol. It's BYOB, everyone often just contributes to someone's cooler. It's the perfect mix of quiet and serene and get out on the dancefloor when the sun goes down. As a staple of the larger campgrounds, I found that the Hideaway more than makes up for being toned down by the attributes I've mentioned. It doesn't hit you immediately your first time; just about the time you start thinking that it's scaled down, you realize that's the point, and that its just as much of a blast as the loud crazy campgrounds, if not better. It's not the size of the crowd or the volume of the music that makes a great weekend, it's who is invited to the party. And in all the times I have been here, even when the weather didn't want to cooperate, The Hideaway hits the mark every single time. An absolutely wonderful bunch of people. I give The Hideaway an enthusiastic FIVE STARS!
