Best Fresh Photographer for Intimate New Hope, PA Weddings!…read more We had the pleasure of working with Kasey Ivan Photography for our wedding in New Hope, PA. When we set out looking for someone, we were overwhelmed because honestly it's not every day that you think about how you would like to be photographed and then have to put it into words. We weren't going traditional; we had an intimate outdoor wedding at a B&B with a rustic and simple elegance. We knew what we didn't want, the "standard wedding photographer"... someone that churns out the same photo for every couple and then upsells them the standard coffee table book. From there we figured out that what was important to us. We wanted someone with a fresh eye. My fiance came across his website after a LOT of searching and it had a refreshing feel to it. Kasey's photos captured actual emotion. We met Kasey in person and he was genuinely passionate about what he did and was interested in our story. When he said that the more involved with our love story he was, the more emotion he could put into the photography. SOLD. He asked us lots of questions. We talked for a while and by the time we left we wanted to hire someone else...so we could INVITE HIM AS A GUEST! He was a great listener, answered our questions, referred a videographer and makeup artist, AND his fees were much more realistic than many of the other outfits. There was no way we were going to pay several thousands of dollars for a photographer's assistant that we haven't met, to come follow us around for 8 hours. And the bonus was that he didn't try to force a printed book on us. He was perfectly fine with giving the electronic files. We decided to do a First Look session before the ceremony for many reasons. At first, I was against it because I wanted to be able to see his face for the first time as I walked down the aisle. Kasey suggested that I could walk up to my fiance while his back was turned and tap him on the shoulder. That way he wouldn't actually see me walking up to him. This made ALL the difference in the world and now we are so glad we did it. I can't even express how important, peaceful and meaningful that time was. We were able to stare at each other, feel the emotion, take the time to connect privately...(while being photographed and filmed). I learned later that Kasey even helped my fiancé put on his cufflinks. What an amazing individual. Anyway, even if his photos sucked we would still give him great reviews, but we got our USB drives and finally had the time to go through them. They were exactly what we asked for; we got amazing shots full of emotion from the First Look, breathtaking posed shots around the barn and property, and then the "not posed" action shots we wanted...unscripted real life. There are some awful shots of people's faces, but that's what happens in real life. I'm grateful he didn't remove those because we wanted to see it all! And just to top it off, towards the end of the night we asked him to join us on the dance floor. He was so much fun and danced a jig...or maybe it was moshing, not sure...but it was late. He fit right in and that's what kind of photographer we wanted. Thank you Kasey!

My daughter came in earlier this year for her senior photo shoot (if you're reading this around Dec. 2024, she's the little cutie in the thumbnail!). We had Sara as her photographer, and she was absolutely amazing. She made my daughter feel confident and beautiful the entire time, and took the most stunning photos. Sara had the best energy, it felt like she was just happy to be there, and genuinely enjoyed her job. We really could not have been happier with the outcome! Thank you so much for giving my girl an amazing milestone experience!

I read some reviews before going in but they were from years or months ago so I wanted to update…read morewith my personal experience. I was able to give Shelly Rose Photography two stars instead of one simply because of the experience I had in my shoot. Her assistant (I prefer not to use names of employees) was my hair, makeup and photographer because Shelly was out. I had a fantastic time with the shoot. Originally I was super nervous to do something like this but she made me feel beautiful, confident and comfortable. A glass of wine but not carded first just as an FYI, 2 outfits, 2 hours and lots of beautiful poses. I wanted so badly to give this company more stars but the problem is after the shoot. When you get in you sign a contract and get right to getting ready. After your shoot, they sit you down and discuss pricing for packages. Something that is not listed anywhere on the website or mentioned in the beginning. Also another appointment to view them in person. This is where I failed to continue my work with them. The lowest package was $500 for only 10 of your photos. The highest was up to $2,999. ALMOST 3 grand!? It isn't until you spend $1,799 that you even get digital photos or printing rights to risky photos taken of YOU. Now I get it, you expect to have to pay more after the shoot for the photos but come on, $2,999 is like 4 car payments for me. I couldn't in good conscience spend that kind of money on photos of myself. $150 dollar certificate off of the Maines best deals website wasted just to drive 30 minutes through a snowstorm because their cancellation policy is also ridiculous and not get my photos. Maybe somebody out there has that kind of money but I sure don't.

This included individual portraits, team pictures, candid photos of our program and sports action shots. We were thoroughly impressed by her professionalism and presence while taking the photos.
