San Joaquin RTD also has buses meeting here. There are only 3 Manteca Transit bus routes at this time. Most drivers are caring but there are a few characters at times. They could really use a route from Target to Walmart to JC Penney to Kohl's to make shopping easier, even if it was only available from Thanksgiving to the end of the year. They recently replaced the old buses and everything works fairly well. Dial-A-Ride is another matter, from what I've seen. They don't seem to show up when needed. As with so many other departments in Manteca, it seems to be underfunded, despite all of the new residents. Things are better than they were. Hopefully, they will continue to improve.

July birthdays can be tough with the extreme heat, and in the past my guests would complain about other venues being too hot. Not this time! She made sure everything was exactly what I needed. The hall itself is spacious enough that we were able to have: 2 jumpers and outdoor seating Taco catering and even our horse trailer bar outside Face painters and activity tables inside 6 snack carts, a balloon setup, and a photo booth--all with plenty of room to spare! My family and friends were blown away by how much we could fit without feeling crowded. The space truly made the party smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. We had a limited budget so were very thankful that Del Rio had a ceremony-only option. As it was ceremony-only, we only were given Sunday to have our wedding, which we were honestly okay with because we were able to stay within our budget. The employees were also very professional whenever we would meet with them. I remember for our first meeting with them, even though we had not booked the venue yet, they gave us a gift and some wine ! You could just tell how experienced the employees were as well in terms of planning a ceremony and working with people. They gave us a lot of guidance during our rehearsal run-through (which was the Friday before the wedding) as well as on the day of, Sunday. Also another quick note about Sunday, since we only did a ceremony only, we also ordered some light refreshments and snacks and fruit (no meals and no DJ). My one and only con with this place is I wish it would have been easier to communicate with them when we were not meeting in person. They said we could text their number but they would mainly respond to my husband's texts and not mine - same thing happened with email, or they would take a handful of business days to get back to my emails. I eventually found out that calling during business hours was more reliable in reaching them. All in all, it was great to work with the Del Rio team in such a beautiful setting.

To say JP's services were a letdown is an understatement.We've used JP Hibachi in the past with…read moregreat experiences, but something has clearly changed. For this event, the host had everything booked with JP but could not get a response for over a week leading up to it. No return calls, no texts; not even a simple "I'm busy, I'll get back to you soon." With no other option, the host had to cancel and scramble to purchase food for over 100 people the day before. Then, at 8:30 pm the night before the event, JP finally reached out, pleading for the chance to still do it. Against our better judgment, we gave him the opportunity after he made many promises to make things right. Unfortunately, the promises weren't kept. JP was supposed to come himself with two chefs, but only one chef arrived. That one person had to prepare food for 100 guests on a single griddle, which dragged service out for more than 3 hours. Guests were frustrated, and many left before eating. The crew didn't even arrive until 5 pm (after JP said they'd be there by 4 pm), and they didn't start cooking until nearly 7 pm...for a 5:30 pm event. The chef on site did the best they could, but they were set up to fail. Meanwhile, JP stopped communicating completely the day of the event and has ignored all attempts to reach him since. This was a fundraising event, and now it's not only a disappointment but also a financial loss of thousands of dollars. The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability is unacceptable. A huge disappointment.
