First and foremost, we tried a sampling of a some of the empanadas and they were fantastic. The crawfish étouffée empanada was delicious. The chicken and beef were very good as well, but I particularly liked the chorizo empanada. Food was outstanding, definitely worth coming back. In fact, we were going to get some to take home, maybe next time. The staff suggested the sauces, so we tried both the cilantro and the chimichurri. I absolutely loved the cilantro sauce, it paired with just about every empanada. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We came on a Saturday morning and there was some kind of Mahjong group playing. They were very loud and took up most of the tables, weren't overly courteous either. The obnoxious group aside, the atmosphere seemed very comfortable. I will definitely come back to this place again, the empanadas are absolutely worth it. read more

Stopped by to try it out, wasn't disappointed. We tried the beef Argentina and the yellow curry empanadas they were very flavorful, both as good. Love that it has vegetarian/vegan options as well. Sauces were also good, ambient was clean and quiet when we were there. Would definitely recommend it to anyone that just likes good food. Service was also friendly and quick. read more

Been here twice and loved it. The crawfish etoufee is delicious. Loved the Argentinian beef, muffelatta, and asian dumpling. Shrimp and cheese was ok but not as great. Been here several times. I've tried multiple flavors, all good. Eggs and Bacon is my favorite flavor so far. The establishment is very clean with a nice design. I like the look of the logo and the staff is friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends or anyone traveling from out-of-state. read more

Holy Empanadas-- there are so many different variations to try. EmpaNOLA is new to the Springhill area. The empanadas are tasty, and the service is fast and friendly. The staff was really helpful in guiding me to my selections. The spinach and artichoke and the Asian dumpling were my two favorites of the three I tried. (The shrimp & cheese... not to much.) The sauces were needed and complimentary to the empanadas, but come at additional cost. It's counter service, and they have soup, chips, and fountain drinks also. The word is out as there were plenty of patrons on a Saturday afternoon. Nice addition to the fast casual, food scene in this area. I came across this little place while on my neighborhood walk and decided to check it out. I love Latino food and I am so glad that I did. The menu was both concise and understandable. The variety of the menu had something for just about everyone to enjoy and my order was excellent. The vibe in this bistro, for the lack of a better word, was perfect. The staff were all friendly and placing an order and the delivery of food to my table were quick. I ordered the Chilean Beef Empanada, Chili Soup, Salad, and a soft drink. All of this food was quite delicious and the amount was perfect. I will definitely return to try out their great choices on the menu. You will enjoy it as much as I did. read more

I bought three empanadas for almost $19.00 and this wasn't the combo so it's a bit pricey for what it actually is. The flavor of the Argentina beef was really tasty but was full of liquid with the meat. Disappointed after spending so much to see how much actual meat was inside. && the girl who took my order really needs to put her hair up or braid it. As a food industry worker myself it's gross to have your hair waving all over the place. read more

Went for lunch and ordered the meal with 2 empanadas and you could choose a side, salad or soup. I picked the potato soup, Peruvian chicken and crawfish etoufe. Everything was delicious. My friend got the same meal deal but chose a salad instead of soup and had the Mexican chorizo and the mushroom and cheese empanadas, she said her food was great too. I forgot to take pictures but the presentation was also good. Staff were friendly and we did not have to wait long for our food. The place was clean and not crowded or noisy. There's parking in the back and they said you can also park at the church parking lot. I definitely recommend the place. I'll be back soon read more

Starting the school year always throws us into a super busy schedule. Between early school drop-offs, work, football practice, and homework, there's barely any time to cook dinner. So, a great solution is to swing by Empanola's in Mobile for their amazing Empanadas. I placed an order through door dash for Empanadas for my 84 year old mother's Potluck with friends. Door dash canceled 2 hours before lunch. I called the restaurant They knew nothing about it, but when I explained situation they went over and beyond to accommodate us. And food was hot and delish In homage to Mardi gras we got the gumbo and the muffalatta. We will be back. read more

Went today for lunch for the first time and was very disappointed. We told the woman working there that this was our first time eating there-asked what did she recommend. She was definitely not happy or welcoming person. Strictly answer the question. We were the only customers at the counter to order with only 1 table of 2 eating. I say that to point out they weren't busy and the clerk could have spent the time to be more helpful . To explain the pricing, the sauces, etc. We decided to split a salad and get an empanada. (The salad is a joke. A small handful of spring mix greens, a thimble size container of feta cheese, we counted 5 sunflower seeds and that's their salad!!!) and an ice tea. Then we realized we could do a "meal deal" and add a soup for less than what the register was showing-reason being we didn't ask for meal and we ordered a Tea and only fountain drinks are in meal deal. The clerk was not helpful -just there. We got our food and the spinach artichoke was nothing more than dough around Costco spinach artichoke dip. Very disappointing!!! The salad-the lettuce was fresh. But that's basically all it was. For over $20.00, due to the added tea the clerk wouldn't substitute-only fountain drinks are in meal deal-she tells us after she rings it up we got 1 empanada, a tiny cup of soup and some lettuce, a 8oz coke and 8oz tea. Better communication on the staff's part would have been nice! We definitely won't be back. Quality of food was poor and service was nonexistent. Mobile has way too many great local places to eat at to ever eat here. Perhaps that's why there was never more than 4 people in there while we ate. read more

I went recently and tried the Beef Argentinian, the Chicken Peruvian, and the Asian Dumpling. They were all very good. My favorite was the Asian Dumpling, but I'd highly recommend all of them. I did not realize the Beef Argentinian had olives in it. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew, because I normally hate olives. But, I loved them in the empanada! I don't know what they did to make them taste edible, but whatever it was, it worked! I am excited to go back and try the rest of the flavors. I was also pleased to see how many vegan options there were. I have multiple vegan family members and it is great to have a restaurant that we can all go to together. read more

The only issue I have, is when we walked in the place just kind of smelled funky. They had a couple of candles lit, I think to mask the odor. And I really can't say what it was, but it was across between maybe garbage and trash smell. Aside from the unpleasant smell when you walk in, the food and service was on point. I would absolutely come back here for takeout.
