When we got there the place was completely secluded which I was grateful, it was 7 pm so it was late. I had a tamale and 2 crunchy tacos. My husband had a very large burrito that probably weighed about a pound and a side of refried beans. My friend had the chicken quesadilla. We had white cheese queso. They were drinking tea and I had a Dr Pepper and even though we spent over $70 including tip she still charged me for a cup of ice. Anyway the food was delicious, I mean every bit of it! The only thing I can say that really irritated me was at 7:45 she broke down the tea machines and my husband and friend were about ready to finish there only cup of tea and they wanted a refill but were never asked before they dumped it, and the person that dumped it was the girl that took the order so it wasn't as if she didn't know. The food is usually good, but there is a woman that works in the window in the drive-through and then sometimes she'll work if you go inside, and she's not very nice. An older woman I don't know, someone said she was the grandmother of the owners? I always try to be respectful and she's just not nice. But other than that, the food is always solid. Tacos were really good. The crispy taco shell was outstanding. Beans and rice were also good. Chile relleno was a bit sad and cheese enchilada was just ok. Chips don't come with the lunches but there is a salsa bar. Mild salsa is great, hot and mucho hot weren't actually hot but were both pretty tasty. I would give the food here 3 and 1/2 stars, but the excellent service bumped it up. My husband and I tried: the chips and salsa, Birria tacos, pork tamale, and flautas. The flautas were not great- very thick tortilla with very little filling and the tortilla was not fried all of the way thorough so they weren't crispy. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant since moving here from California. I tell many clients this is the most California restaurant we have found since moving here and they need to visit. We visit often and we just drove out of our way to go get food after a Mardi Gras parade. We were in the drive thru at 8:55 pm and my husband asked for one moment while we asked the kids what they would like. We were not even at the speaker 5 seconds. The response from the speaker "we are closing in one minute, either give me your order now or we won't take it." We decided to leave. As much as we love the food we don't have to settle for blatant disrespect. We will not be visiting again. My suggestion is when a large Mardi Gras parade is in the area, you staff to ensure you can give the very best customer service (or any at all). read more

We eat at los tacos, regularly, with great service in the dining room. We went through the drive-through today, the lady was rude, and we received the incorrect item with our order. When we went in to try to correct it, she said she rang up the wrong thing, and we would have to take it -that they could not correct it. Our option was to buy another meal to get what we ordered originally or just eat what she rang up. I really hate that we had such a negative experience, because we loved eating there, but will not be back. There are plenty of other options. read more

I went two separate times and gave this restaurant to separate chances. The first time, they got my order completely wrong in the drive-through. I left and went home with my food only to open it and realize that it wasn't even close to what I had ordered. The second time I gave it one more shot. I went through the drive-through and ordered items for myself and my daughter. This time the order was correct however the food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered nachos and when we opened the carton and all it was was a bunch of soggy chips with a really nasty chili type concoction poured on everything. We took two bites and threw it away. A fast food staple in the Fairhope/Daphne area of Alabama: Los Tacos! It's attached to a CEFCO gas station, and has both dine in and drive through (like most fast food places.) My sister and aunt accompanied me to help me review more than just my order. We went in at lunchtime on a Saturday, and were pleasantly surprised by how few people were inside. Quickly after we ordered, numerous groups walked in to wait in line, indicating to me that the restaurant was still fully relied upon, even during the pandemic. Ordering was easy after we reviewed the menu, but the menu is intimidatingly large. Luckily there is a wall with pictures that show many of the menu items; and because I'm a local, I am pretty consistent in what I order. I got a taco salad with grilled shrimp, "muy caliente" salsa, and guacamole. My aunt got a bean and cheese burrito "enchilada style" (with enchilada sauce, sour cream, and guacamole.) My sister got a beef and cheese burrito "queso style" (covered in queso, with sour cream and guacamole.) Both were entirely satisfied with their meals. Chips and dip are not complementary here like in many restaurants, but are an offered side. There are a variety of salsas to choose from, as well as queso and guac. Personally, I enjoy their guacamole because it is simple, chunky, and dairy-free. I give their food a 3.5/5. It's good, cheap, and easy. Service was very quick, we got our food about 3 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, all of the dishes are served with plastic utensils, Styrofoam plates, and Styrofoam cups. Additionally, their to-go orders come with plastic bags. Sustainability-wise, I think they could make vast improvements. I give their eco-friendliness a 1/5.  There were masks and hand sanitizer available, and almost all of the customers were wearing masks. The employees seemed to all have masks, but were a little lax in wearing them appropriately. I used to go through the drive thru quite a bit, but I have stopped recently due to my own will power. I would get the shrimp quesadilla and it was always decent. I went inside and ate once and the atmosphere just did not make me feel welcomed. I was there much before close, but I felt like I was a burden upon the staff. Twice now we've been to the restaurant and we looked at a receipt and the price seems quite High. After looking at the prices that are quoted on the menu vs the price we were charged on a receipt do not match. When we bring it to the attention of the associates they seem confused and don't know what to do and they could clear that they are unable to change the prices and I don't understand why the prices don't match. This is a great Los Tacos. We use to frequent the other location in Daphne but since we have moved to Fairhope. Today we were wanting to quick, tasty Mexican. The service here is so friendly and warm. I had the taquitos and the hubs had two shredded beef tacos. Both were delicious. Their green sauce is our favorite. Just had one of the best tostadas ever. Be sure to request their salsa as it embellishes the flavor of the already delicious beef tostada. My husband had the gourmet burrito with beef. The salsa made his choice better as well. read more
