Intense. This is a wild ride. Nobody expects SeaWorld to have roller coasters, especially crazy intense ones like this one. The Emperor roller coaster goes up to 60 miles per hour. That is super FAST for a roller coaster! I don't know if other roller coasters go that fast. But that's insane quick. The drops and turns are wild too. It's for the thrill seekers for sure! Make sure you check the precautions prior to riding this and make sure you can sit in that chair. They have a chair out front that you can sit in to make sure you can fit on this ride. read more

Our second ride of the day, waited about 30 minutes due to a system reboot. Employees test ran the ride twice before allowing us on. Only one big straight drop (advertised as 14 stories high) and a couple loops, not very scary to me personally if you're someone who enjoys rollercoasters. Height requirement is 52" (132 cm) and maximum is 78" (198cm); per employees, middle seats have more room if needed. Overall, a great ride and would definitely recommend! read more

I love the drop! It's very exhilarating. This is one of my favorite rides at seaworld since I don't like nausea inducing spinning and jerking motions. The line can take a while, but the line is a lot faster if you are okay with sitting in the back rows (2nd and 3rd row). Be prepared to see funny faces for the roller coaster photo. I wish I could've bought a ride photo but the price was almost $40! read more

Dive Dive Dive!!! A new B&M Dive Coaster you soo know that is calling my name on soo many levels so a trip to San Diego was totally what was good on this given day! So first things first Sea World what's up with the zero shade or landscaping here like whoa this ride is already getting sun beaten and it's brand new the landscaping I can understand because water is scarce in socali but at least shade the Q! I'm not letting that affect the ride experience though because it really is one of Bolliger & Mabillard's best as it's small and compact it throws all of the awesome Divr Machine elements into one quick ride like you can't go wrong with that! This coaster is just what this park needed as it's an awesome ride I just wish it was longer but I understand why as the city's height level for this area is keeping it from being any higher but either way Sea World San Diego has a winner on their hands! Overall not my favorite coaster ever but definitely an awesome ride from start to finish hopefully I'll get here again at some point to ride this awesome Dive Machine! read more

My new favorite thrill ride at SeaWorld San Diego. Emperor was so fun and thrilling. I liked it more than Electric Eel right next to it. Tip, there are three rows and the back two are about 2-3 rides quicker than waiting for the front row. That's not too bad for a front row wait PLUS the front row for this ride would be really awesome. I'll do the extra wait for the front row next time. - Ride is short but fun. - Line is not shaded from the sun. Growing up in the San Diego area, I visited Sea World often. The attractions centered around Shamu, dolphins and the Sea Lion shows. For kids, they had Captain Kids World, a safe haven for littles to run around while not complaining about being tired. Fast forward to today.... Sea World still has animal attractions and a kids play area, but they've also introduced roller coasters. BIG ONES! Meet Emperor, the latest juggernaut of roller coasters which recently opened this year. Emperor, along with fellow roller coasters Electric Eel and Atlantis, are located on the east side of the park. They've brought a whole new dimension to what Sea World was growing up. So glad they've opted to added them to the mix of attractions. The ride begins with a slow ascent, 14 stories up. A slight left turn and you get a great view of the rest of the park. That's all short lived as you find yourself hanging forward, looking straight down for a brief moment before plunging 90 degrees to the first floor then continue up into a loop at about 60 MPH. The g-force is significant before you turn about and twist the opposite direction and zip around for another minute or so with additional twists and turns until coming to a halt prior to disembarking. The thrill level is amazing and you'll likely have tears running along your temples from the wind zipping by at a high rate of speed. Remove whatever you have in your pockets prior to entering the ride along with hats and glasses. You'll thank me later. It is definitely for thrill seekers. There is a 14 story drop for the first part of the ride and it is scary. They hang the roller coaster at the peak facing down before the actual drop and that adds to the thrill ans scary part. The rest of the ride is filled with twists and upside down turns. Emperor is such a good ride, I love the corkscrews, and the barrel roll, my favorite part is the dive from 14 stories!

Sebastian is the best ride operator ever and youll be lucky if you get him. He dimefinately needs a raise
