I went on the SKY TOWER RIDE for the first time, on our last visit, and learned that it was FREE for SILVER MEMBERS!!! It was an excellent experience!!! It was a panoramic view of the park, Mission Bay and San Diego!!! Inside, there is bench seating, and music playing in the background. It goes up very slowly, but comes down very quickly. It's a wonderful 360 DEGREE PANORAMIC VIEW of everything that you can imagine seeing!!! read more

An oldie but goodie. This ride (a rotating double-decker pod) is perfect when you want to slow things up a bit after a long day of walking around SeaWorld. The "seagull" views of the park and the surrounding area of Mission Bay are amazing and is why I recommend this ride. - Riding the Sky Tower at night is also unique, but usually a lot nicer during their Christmas lights celebration. - If you're lucky, you might see baby ducks in the pond area below the tower. - The line does take a while on a busy day. It's a little shorter if you take the line to the lower cabin. read more

Well Coming to the cool amusement park here in Sunny San Diego and guess what !! Here at SeaWorld and if your an annual pass holder then you get to ride the Sky Tower Skyride for Free !! Yes Free so finding out about this it was pretty darn amazing !! As you go up in the Tower you can see breath taking views of SeaWorld and you get an really cool View of Mission Bay also !! It's an ride for the whole family and your friends also !! I do suggest you give it a try and enjoy the ride !! Lots of cool views and it is really an ride you don't want to miss out on while you are at SeaWorld !! As we got in I pulled out my phone and started taking pictures of all the cool views from up top !!! Lots of fun for the entire family !! It's an ride I sure can find myself coming back and riding again !!! Overall it was fun and it is kind of packed and there are lines for ride but you don't have to wait too long we only waited about 20 minutes and it was worth it !! I sure can see myself coming back for sure !!! And enjoy more !!! read more

The Sky Tower ride at Sea World has been there ever since I can remember. Previously it would cost a few dollars per person to ride. It is now free which I really appreciate. The ride is a cylinder that slowly spins as it rises up the tower so you can see views of the San Diego bay and the surrounding area. The ride itself has two levels. There is a bottom level that you go down the ramp to get on the ride. It is usually less of a line. There is also a top level which usually has longer lines. Both levels provide great views and are a good way to spend a few quiet minutes at Sea World. read more

Been on this ride many times over the years and nothing has ever changed. It's well worth the wait as you get to see 360 degree views of Mission Bay. It's air conditioned which is a great escape from the sun. If you try this attraction and enjoy it you should head over to the sky ride. Another great option to get a bird's eye view of the water and harbor. I always make it a point to visit here when I come to Sea World. It's a must! You can thank me later. read more

It's alright but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was my favorite ride at SW. That might be reserved for the lift over the bay area. I will tell you that if you are prone to motion sickness this might not be for you. I'm bad with motion sickness and this had me wanting to throw up by the time we got back down. It didn't help there were a ton of jumping children in with us at the same time. Plus the spinning didn't help the motion sickness. That being said I recommend it. We went right at sunset and it was gorgeous. The price of this is included in your admission fee. read more

Quick 5-8 minute ride, so even if you're waiting in line, it's a pretty fast wait. I believe it goes up 2-3 times, and it slowly descends down back to the bottom. It's a 360 degree view of Sea World. Although you can a good view of certain parts of San Diego, it is also VERY depressing. Why? Because you actually witness all of the sea creatures exhibits (e.g dolphins, orchids, sea lions) and realize how small they are, and the amount of sea creatures that are squeezed into these exhibits. Not only are they exhibits, but they are essentially their homes. So it's depressing to see how small their homes are, when they're used to the wild of a big open ocean. I would still take this ride, because it's A) an amazing view B) gives you appreciation of the sea creatures & awareness of their "homes." Take this ride! you won't regret it & again, it's a fast ride. read more

This is a great quick ride that showcases a 360 view of Seaworld and San Diego. I remember this ride costing money when I was a kid, but is now free. This ride is a must do when visiting Seaworld. It's great for the whole family. read more

I love this ride. Maybe because I love San Diego and it lets me see it all... OR MAYBE because it's free now with paid admission and whenever I was little I only got to go on it once or twice because you used to have to pay for it... I'm an oldie but goodie --- yeah I admit it, I remember when this ride was sponsored by PSA (I'm old, I said so already!!!) and then by Southwest. Or maybe because when it's Christmas - time you get to hear Santa and his reindeer, cause you get so high up. It's those little details! I love Sea World during Christmas time! read more

Nearly 50 years ago (July 5, 1972) we got married in the sky tower. Not sure if this is true but were told we were the first to have a wedding there. Such a beautiful memory. My parents lived in San Diego. We went to Sea World on our yearly trips but have not been there since their passing. Would love to do it again. Take the ride if you ever have the chance. Amazing views of the entire park. You can also see other areas of San Diego and the beach. It is a must see at SeaWorld and for all ages. You have to sit pretty close to people but it's open window so you can see everything. read more
