Bayside Skyride is a lot of fun! One of the best ways to see SeaWorld. This is a cable sky ride. Pretty basic idea here. You get on it and it goes up into the sky, and shows you the scenery all around and down below. It's relaxing and a nice way to see SeaWorld. read more

It doesn't matter what park I go to if they have a Skyride I will ride it as they very much so are some of my favorite attractions no matter what! So I do know that this attraction was closed for some time which was a bummer but it's good to see that the park has opened it again and that its providing that trip back and forth that you totally wanna enjoy! So this Skyride travels across the bay and back giving you a great view of the park and the bay which is totally awesome and just a cool little trip as you can't ever go wrong with a great view of San Diego as well as the ocean around! The price is $6 if you don't have a season pass as they get in for free I believe but you ticket is good for the entire length of the ride to and from even though you don't get off on it! Overall this is a great attraction that's sure not to be missed as you can't ever go wrong on a Skyride! read more

The San Diego Zoo has a Skyride, Disneyland used to have one, and SeaWorld has their own version. This is a fun "foot resting" ride that gives you a lazy ride over Mission Bay's Perez Cove. The Bayside Skyride is a there-and-back trip with no option to exit the gondola when it lands at the West station. They'll take advantage of this entrapment by taking your picture as you make your journey back, unfortunately. Best of all, it's FREE!! The Sea World Bayside Skyride is a gondola ride tucked away in the Northwest corner of the park (behind the Madagascar Live! Operation: Vacation attraction) that travels over Mission Bay for an approximate 6-minute round-trip ride. The ride drifts over the calm and peaceful Mission Bay on two 80 foot towers bringing you to the other side then whirling you around to travel back over Mission Bay to the park. You may want to wear a jacket because it can get pretty chilly during the Fall and Winter season. Our only frustration was that the line quickly grew immensely long in a short amount of time due to the fact that many of the gondolas were empty and seemingly out of service. The ride itself still gets a high rating for the breathtaking views of the open ocean and horizon alone. Hopefully the next time they will be completely up and running, which would move the line along much more efficiently. read more

Very nice escape ride. This is your typical cable sky ride this one goes over the bay near SeaWorld so when you need a break for the park this one ride you can go on to escape the crowds and going on's in the park. The difference on this one is you don't get off on the other end you actually do a round trip so when you get to the other end they whip you around and you go back to where you started. Overall a very relaxing ride and you get see the beautiful bayside. read more

- Locale Destination - It's in Sea World, San Diego. It's located Northwest side of the park, next to the theater of "Madagascar Live!". It's kinda tucked away, yet you should check it out! It's blue gondola, so hard to miss. Length: 6 minutes Maximum capacity: 3 adults and 1 child (but depending on your size, too ;p) Restriction: Children under 56" in height must be accompanied by a supervising companion 14 years or older. Wait time: It could be long, but you should try - Gluttony Expedition - It's pretty cool gondola ride to enjoy the views of Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean. You can even oversee the backside of Sea World stadium. It doesn't swing, so it's not scary. It moves fairly quickly for 6 minute round trip. I'm afraid of height and hate an elevator (hate the feeling when it goes down ;(), but I did enjoy it. It's better than the one at Disneyland used to have long time ago... - Conqueror's Deduction - Ride like this makes me think "Sea World is cool and full of fun stuff". The ride is tucked away and could be under rated, but it's very enjoyable. You should try this! read more

Once again Toby saved the day and made the experience of waiting in a line enjoyable. Ray was great at shuffling people out of the ride and readying it up quick. Nadia is amazing at trouble shooting and organizing the line and keeping it moving at a good speed with Toby. But nate on the other hand kind of soured the experience with his negative attitude and complained to us about how he obviously doesn't like his job. I'm sorry to do this but he doesn't belong with people around with how rude and obnoxious he is. He also soured my last experience on the ride. Last thing is I'm super happy to hear Toby was promoted because he deserves it. Will keep coming back for his hilarious commentary and personality. read more

If you like being up in the air on a lift this is for you. I've always enjoyed that. The views are great. You get a chance to see the park and water from both sides. I definitely would be doing this again upon my next visit to Seaworld. read more

My 5 yr old begged to go on it a second time- he loved the views and I loved the peaceful ride just as much as he did.

My son and I went on this ride before the Shamu show, the wait was not too long, and the views are amazing! You are able to see the "historic" area where performances use to be in the ocean, you can see fiesta island, mission beach and most of San Diego. It is a must see, must do ride, especially for the little ones. Just make sure you don't shake or tangle anything over the ride as you are completely over the ocean and there would be no getting it back, thats for sure! It is an awesome cable ride that I highly recommend! read more

The Bayside Skyride is one of the features of Sea World we absolutely must do on every visit. It's so calming. Try to catch a ride during the day AND the night and if you can, try to take the night trip during the fireworks show. Such an amazing view! read more

This ride has been here for years. But still the best ride at SeaWorld. Great view of the bay. Line can get very long during busy days though but worth it. It's one loop taking you back and you don't get off on the other side. read more

When it works it's pretty cool. The views are awesome and you get a 360 view. Ever since I was a kid it always seems to have issues. I got in it with my son the other day for his first ride and we got up about 1/4 of the way and they said we had to go back down because of technical issues. I wish they would also clean or replace the Windows because they look pretty dirty. read more
