I don't have pictures of the two loaves that I bought on a whim just before they closed, but I can say that I would travel the 3 hours back to buy more. The cranberry, walnut bread was beautiful baked and every bite was the perfect ratio of cranberries to walnuts. I also purchased a flat of focaccia with feta and olives. It was so good with olive oil and with some dipping marinara sauce. If I lived closer, I'd buy all my baked goods from them! I found a picture!!! This is why I should review and post within 24 hours. Anything more on my camera reel becomes a hunting exercise.

A good friend of mine took me here, and I can why. Great bakery filled with great people baking great things. I wanted to grab everything, but settled on the Sea Salt & Rosemary Focaccia (which I enjoyed for several days), along with some Vampire Slayer cheese curds (love that they sell local cheese there too!). Whether you want to place a large order or just run in for a quick treat to eat, you won't be disappointed with Empire Bakery.

Good, great, fresh goodies! Don't miss your chance for a mouth of yummy-ness! Biscuits and gravy is to die for - when they have it.

Best bread in the entire area but very lacking in customer service they do not make you feel welcome or go out of their way.

Your 9 grain sourdough makes the most wonderful toast. Love it.

My favorite bread bakery. Their sourdoughs are delicious, and the cranberry walnut ciabatta makes magic bread pudding.

Back in the 60's I can still remember going over the dunes and onto the beach in Coos Bay, to eat fresh cooked crab.

I had the egg breakfast with sausage and asked for my hashbrowns to be crispy. Not many places fix my hashbrowns as good as the cook at Timbers did. Really happy. My wife had the eggs benedict breakfast and the eggs and ham breakfast. She really liked her meals. The place is very clean and has a chill environment. I heard some people complaining about the service at the bakery/specialty coffee area, but I didn't have any issues. From what I heard there was no communication on who was going to blend the specialty coffees. Another nice perk is you can get free drinks here. Coffee, tea, sodas, etc.

My current favorite is the Greek salad with chicken breast - perfect blend of flavors. I often order the Caesar as well, with a generous portion of salad added on besides. I'm often tempted by the woodfired pizza options; the Pizza of the Week is always a great choice. Glad they have a low-carb/GF crust option. The staff there at Timbers are the best; super friendly, and helpful. Looking forward to the back entrance to open up again after construction, for the beautiful bay view on the way to the Timbers.
