My favorite place to eat in Coos County. They never disappoint. Fair prices, large portions and always great customer service.

It's been a while since I ate Yodas. I figured why not. I ordered the Skywalker and it was pretty quick from the time I ordered until the time they gave me the sandwich. Staff was friendly and everything seemed pretty clean.. once I got my sandwich is where things went downhill.. super incredibly greasy. I needed to wear gloves and have an entire roll of paper towel towels while eating this. The taste was OK, but there was just so much oil involved with the focaccia the cheese, the chicken it was all like a giant oil sponge. For $14 I felt like I completely wasted my money even though there was a pretty good taste coming from a few pieces of that smoked chicken. I might try the Lakeside location, but I'm kind of done with the truck after that just way too much oil just someone who doesn't care made it read more

Set up in a food truck court, with picnic tables & shade covers, Yoda's really struck our fancy, with their "Star Wars" theme. After reviewing their extensive menu, the Mrs & I decided on the Jar Jar Bowl. A large bowl of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes & cheese. Whew! Just typing it out makes me full! Drinks are served at the building next door. While the Mrs had their Bloody Mary, I had a lemonade. I got the Death Star and LET ME TELL YOU!! I'll be dreaming about it. It was delicious and the pastrami hit. My only gripe was that the hot peppers had the stem on them and EVERYTIME I got one it felt like I was chewing on a branch. But like still the sandwich was a 10/10. read more

The build-up and expectations were too high so in the end it was a good - but not amazing - breakfast burrito. Potatoes were a cut-above, not boring cubed like at many places. Also, I recommend a side of gravy. What was an unexpected let down was the tortilla wasn't grilled. Service was stoic, she could barely muster a smile. Tourist in Coos Bay looking for a sandwich for a vegetarian. Typed in sandwiches and this Food Truck popped up. Took a look at their menu and found the Chewie would satisfy the vegetarian requirement. Drove up only to discover we had found a food truck court. Bingo!! Ordered 2 chewies with fries. The sandwich exceeded my expectations! It was melted cheese with cooked onions, green bell peppers and mushrooms on focaccia bread. Delicious! We ordered a side of fries with ranch dressing. We received fresh crisp curly fries and the ranch dressing was homemade with dill. Wow, wow, wow! Definitely recommend trying this food truck. The cashier was super friendly. The food truck court yard is clean with 5 other vendors with an indoor venue where you can buy beer on tap and eat if you don't want to be outside. Trying to figure out how we drove past this the 3 times we've been downtown. So glad I found! Worth the stop! read more

So many options in this food court.... But one stood out the most, Yoda's Hut. The menu is witty and the service was amazing. I asked about the sizes / proportions and they said 1/3rd pound of meat on the large sandwiches. We ordered The Han and The Yoda. We asked for them to be cut in half so we could share..... This just took the #1 soot for all sandwiches! Both were LOADED with meat and tasted so good!! I'm full to the brim and I couldn't wait to write this review. Do Yourself a Favor... Stopped in at Yoda's Hut for lunch and ordered the Death Star with pastrami and coleslaw -- and honestly, this sandwich blew my mind. The bread was perfectly fresh, the pastrami tender and flavorful, and the coleslaw added just the right crunch and tang. Even the ranch stood out, with fresh dill that made it taste homemade and bright. The service was quick and friendly, and the whole experience had that laid-back food truck charm--good music in the background, great smells wafting out of the window, and food that feels crafted with care. Everything tasted like it was made with pride and top-quality ingredients. For a casual lunch spot, you really can't go wrong here. I'm so glad we stopped here on our way to Florence! The menu is Star Wars themed and all the items sound delicious. We ordered the Yoda with smoked ribeye, and the Deathstar with smoked pastrami. You have the option to order a fulled sized sandwich or a half. I ordered a half sandwich of the Yoda with a side of curly fries and the amount was still very decent. The meat was tender, but the best sort was the roasted garlic aioli and the hot peppers. The staff were really friendly. Parking is on the main road and there was a nice seating area in the middle of all the food trucks. read more

The guy working was nice, but we asked for the coleslaw (from the sandwich) on the side and instead we got coleslaw /as/ a side *and* on the sandwich. My partner is a big slaw fan so I was like okay whatever Ill scrape it off and he can eat it all, no big deal, i can see where we maybe needed to be more clear i guess. But the slaw was really sweet and my partner was disappointed. I got pastrami with horseradish mayo and the whole thing was pretty bland overall. The sweet taste of the slaw lingered even after it was scraped off which is kinda sad for pastrami and horseradish which are usually pretty sturdy flavors that should be able to hold their own in a sandwich. However, my partner got the tri tip with peppers and he really liked it, so maybe just skip the pastrami for that instead. read more

Hit up Yoda's Hut tonight in Exploring the Food Trucks On Front Street tonight! The wind was brisk with a nip on its edge but it was so worth it! We ordered 3 Yoda's one hot and two sweet! We were handed a pager so we could get out of the wind in the bar but our wait was minimal! We chose to take it home and everything stayed warm clear to Charleston. The meat with that garlic aioli just melted in your mouth. the last bite was as delicious as the first! The fries were cooked perfectly and were flavorful and not greasy. The Coleslaw was definitely the perfect addition! Definitely Delicious and filling! read more

We loved Yoda's Hut and the entire food truck street!! There were places to sit to eat and chat. We ordered Jar Jar Bowl, a Yoda, and a Death Star. I love that you can get half an item. The pastrami was delicious, and the rib eye was very tender! Lots of other stuff thrown into the sandwich, yum! I loved the Jar Jar Bowl with the curly fries underneath! Menu has breakfast and lunch, only ONE item on the menu without meat and wheat..... tried it, a GF wrap with swiss cheese, avocados, etc, maybe some ranch dressing. Ron and the crew are friendly and helpful. The food truck park at Front Street is a great location and the bar has a great selection. Yoda's menu is all Star Wars based which is a little added conversation piece. My advice would be to GET THE HAAN!! Delicious and a dipping sauce too. Yum! read more

The Han was delicious. Steak was super juicy and had a good sear. The french bread held up nicely and had a nice toast on it. Fries were crispy. I thought it could of done with a touch more peppers or like a chilli garlic mayo or something to elevate it to the next level We went back for breakfast and it was just as good. Yoda's Hut is located in a collection of about 10 food trucks all nestled together to make it easy to find just what you want to eat. My wife went for Mexican while I flew across the universe to Yoda's Hut. They offer a collection of stellar sandwiches and breakfast choices. It was hard to choose between all the galactic offerings, but I finally settled on The Han. This sandwich was absolutely stuffed with thinly sliced smoked ribeye, caramelized onions, mushrooms, melted cheese, and sweet peppers. The result was out of this world! I ordered a whole sandwich and it lasted for both lunch and dinner. It was raining in our part of the universe that day, but we were able to eat in the indoor bar/seating area. This kid-friendly area is heated and comfy and offers various drinks including beer. The service at Yoda's was friendly with the cheerful owners making suggestions and accommodating a change to my preferred type of cheese. They have those little buzzer things that notify you when your order is ready, so we were able to chill out inside the bar while waiting. This is a fun concept where the various food trucks allow everyone to find something to suit their current yearnings. Mexican, waffles, BBQ, sandwiches, and more. After our sandwiches, we went across to the Mexican truck and got a delicious Churro for dessert. They're a little hard to find. They are between Hwy 101 and Front street. It's easiest for me to just head north out of Coos Bay downtown, pass a Chevron car wash on the right, then head about another block. It's on the right, in the same parking lot as a cute little home decor shop called Real Deals. HWY 101 Liquor store is diagonally across the street. Give this food truck collection a try. There's enough good choices here to even make Darth Vader smile! read more

Lakeside area code is 541. 458? That's not any area code used in Oregon numbers AFAIK. Anyways, you missed a sale on Monday for what is a somewhat high priced sandwich when compared to Safeway Deli's offering and in doing so, you lost a sale for a planned meal with a good friend in September. I only dine at home or outdoors and having found another fine outdoor location from a real business with a real local phone number, I made reservations with them. Your loss!
