Went online and…read moresaw this location and was able to book a hair and beard trim appointment during my lunch break. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised. The barbers were dressed professionally and very friendly. While the decor was what I would expect in a barber shop, I think the antique/classic barber chairs was a sign that this wasn't just another barbershop. You don't have those unless you love your profession. I was assigned to Chase, who cut his lunch break short even though I was the one who was 15 minutes early. I explained how I would like my hair and beard trimmed, and he went to work. He took his time and recommended several style changes for my approval before trimming. I'm not one for small talk during a haircut, but the barbers working that day were having an open conversation and I felt relaxed enough to even join the conversation, which is totally not me. But it definitely helped the time pass quickly and made the experience more enjoyable. Once done, Chase spun me around for a view in the mirror, and I thought he did a fantastic job. But the real approval would be made by my wife, who was waiting in the car. She liked it so much, she suggested that I change my barber. So, while it wasn't my intention, looks like Chase will have a new client. The prices here are a little higher than what I usually pay, but with the quality of work, it's well worth the price. It was really refreshing to find a barbershop that was open not to just cut hair, but to find people who understand and enjoy their craft.

About 3-4 inches off the top, cleaned up around the ears and not shaved up in the back. How difficult can that be? The barber never positioned me facing the mirror. I sat with my back to him and the barber behind me. He put a cape on me and a tissue around my neck. After 15 minutes of sitting with my back to his station, while he did absolutely nothing to my hair. I felt my pants pocket and discovered I left my cell phone in the car. I asked if I could go get my cell phone, he took the cape off and I hurriedly walked ‍to my car with the tissue around my neck. I thought to myself... Hell! I'm not going back in that dingy dump of a barber shop! I'm sitting in the damn chair while he's playing with himself for 15 minutes, not paying any attention to his customer.
