You wont be taught how to do any kind of gel, acrylic, pedicure, manicure, paraffin, regular polish, etc. services. The only hands on things I was taught was silk wraps for a single day and how to make your own charms with silicone molds. And the singular day we "learned waxing" was taking turns doing a couple strips on eachothers arms and thats it. Don't pay close to 5000 dollars to get a half-assed education, when youre teaching yourself pretty much everything you need to do if you want to be a nail tech. Upstairs is even worse to the point where you don't think it has ever been cleaned. The students keep getting things removed from their kits without being reimbursed, its a waste of money. Additionally, the teacher has displayed signs of frustration, including overhearing comments about events that happen in her personal life prior to coming to school and the tone used is often laced with anger. As a parent, I believe it is crucial for my child to be in a supportive, safe environment conducive to learning. Unfortunately, these ongoing behaviors have caused significant emotional distress for my child, and I am concerned about the long-term impact this could have. It is unacceptable for a teacher to subject a student to this kind of emotional strain. I strongly urge the school to investigate these concerns and take appropriate action to address this behavior. My child deserves to be able to focus on her education and graduate in peace, without the added stress of dealing with such unprofessional conduct. I was welcomed with lots of love right from check in and then seated with the lovely Luz. She was very kind and asked me about both my hair history and my current wants. I told her what it was I wanted and she assured me I was in good hands. What would normally be a dreadful experience looking at my hair at the mirror turned to be more of a girls hangout where we spent chatting and I left with a haircut I loved.

Don't bother attending ANY school if you're not willing to put in any work, especially when you're PAYING to attend. It's not a place to come in and sit on your phone majority of the day. Go to class, do what is expected of you just as you would at work and you'll have a great experience. Christine Valmy is filled with extremely hard working educators and staff (whom are not paid well enough for all that they do to keep the school running the way that it does.) There are some issues such as the junior class not having a ceiling so the noise pours in from the back factory where products are made and assembled but Ms. Melissa does an excellent job pushing through those disruptions to deliver her class the knowledge they need to complete the first 300 hours of esthetics. Having a ceiling installed in the back junior class is something that the owners need to really work on. All in all, if you want an amazing education or even just a great service wether it be hair or skin, Christine Valmy is a great place to go.
