I DO NOT RECOMMEND EMPIRE BLINDS! I made a poor choice when I did and highly regret it! The owner is not trust worthy. It started out with a young man who came to install, and he said he was waiting for another person to help him. He also said he was going to California that afternoon Well the other guy didn't show up to help and he did a terrible job workmanship wise on the outside solar screens! First of all, I didn't know they were gonna be drilled into my house. I thought that I'd be able to take them on and off as I spoke to the owner about doing that. That was the first problem. And then the workmanship was awful! The solar screens were not reinforced on the end so they were already coming apart in the corners. The guy over torqued some of them so they're dented. Some the screws aren't even going in straight their cockeyed. There are two or three different areas he drilled and then decided not to put the screw in and drilled another spot. Yet he never repaired where he drilled. But the worst thing was using these ugly gray unpainted screws! The screens are white. I would've thought they would use white screws or paint them at least but they don't! I even called my friend up who sets windows for a living and I said look at this workmanship and he agreed, when you mount the solar screens, the screws should be aligned and when you have those ugly gray screws standing out like a sore thumb it looks bad! But then the owner pulls up in his truck. I show them all of the areas in the front and I said I haven't even gotten to check the back yet. Well, he starts getting irritated and says you know what you're never gonna be happy here. I'm just gonna leave these verticles for the inside and you just install them yourself. I gotta say I was a little shocked. He proceeds to tell me here. I'm just gonna leave these and he gives me a discount. Little did I know they were weren't even the right blinds. The owner had already decided before he even came over to change out and put the cheap ones in place of the ones that I had ordered. What a jerk. If anybody has any questions because this may be a little confusing, you can reach a reviewer through YELP and I will gladly explain. The owner is a jerk and he switched out the vertical blinds. He had already decided how he was gonna handle it before he even came over here to see what the problem was. I don't trust the man if you want to make sure to go look at the workmanship they do because it was not good. It was not professional. And the owner is not trustworthy. Sorry it took me this long to write this review, as it was a year ago, but I didn't want him to come back to me and try to charge me more! We got roller blinds and replaced some shutters with Empire Blinds. The quotes were accurate and installation was fast and professional, but I took off a star because the person who gave us the estimate said they could do a tan roller blind behind the translucent one we had set up but when it came time for installation the person who came (different from the one doing the estimate) brought white and said it would be impossible to fit both flush against the window because there wasn't space. We had wanted what we ended up getting originally so it worked out fine but the communication wasn't great. read more

Well... First impressions DO matter! I needed two sets of blinds replaced that our great done sunk his teeth into.. So I searched on Yelp like always to help me find what I'm looking for... I had originally looked at another that had established reviews on yelp and that's usually what I use to help base my decisions. So I want to share how this went down- to help the next helper know that these guys are LEGIT and as of now- I highly recommend them! Back to the story- I requested a quote and yelp has this option where it will send your request to multiple businesses in your search list. So about 5 responses were sent out and Clint from Empire was the first to respond! Literally within a couple minutes- he got a great quote for me and was extremely responsive during our exchange of info/questions. I had him call me after I had gotten a few other quotes in slower responses and more $$$... or some that refused to quote me without speaking to me. (However I had provided original order info from the blinds we had and pics/ measurements etc- everything needed). That's a bit of a turn off for me. So I was super impressed with Clint with Empire. He was able to set me up the measurements/color matching appt for the very next day and his friend and fellow owner/operator Matt came by and was even early! Super polite- friendly- efficient. We paid a 50% cash deposit- and rest is due at install. Should be getting them in about 2 weeks- if that. So I'll update later once they arrive and are installed. I like that this is a Veteran owned business of two everyday guys who take pride in their work and providing quality customer care to their clients. :) I'm all about supporting small business- so if you need blinds etc- give these guys a chance to WOW you! I think you'll be very happy with your choice. Update: 1/10/20 We are about to close on our house next week and these guys did an amazing job communicating with us last month when product arrived and scheduling to come install!
