The only reason they're still in business must be because no one shops around and knows the real price of things. Sad to see them take advantage of our community. The shop is also an absolute wreck with stuff strewn everywhere. Unopened boxes of product, inventory, trash, etc.

The staff there was most accommodating and patient and friendly. They demonstrated great consideration for my ignorance and they answered all my questions even though they were quite busy. The store was quite neat and appeared to be well stocked. My grandson was very pleased with the array of cards he was able together. His grandparents were thankful that we didn't have to dip into our "mattress fund" nor did we have to remember exactly where to dig up the money buried in the yard! In other words we got a good "bang for our bucks"! The value was just what we hoped it would be, and our grandson was happy.

You can rent cars and pay to race your family and friends. Or, if you want more track time, purchase a car from them and you can rent the tracks for practice. Everyone who works here is great. They will help you learn the tracks and give you all the advice you need to get started. I can't recommend this place enough. If you've never driven a slot car before, you need to try it and get hooked.

out on a random thursday adventure looking for track time in a different place and wound up here…read morewhich is the epitome of different. interesting shop in the Bavarian enclave in northern Georgia (I didn't know there was such a thing until today) this place is medium huge with four tracks, two each 1/24 and 1/32. the small cars are appealing because they are more toy-like: solid feel and fits comfortably in one hand whereas the big cars can feel a little wobbly but it still looks like you got something for your $100... or you can rent either for a nominal fee. first off: 1/32 scale racing!? I used to have small cars but it wasn't this. these are bigger than the Tyco/AFX sets of my youth and the track options are way better. cars run fast but will still fly off the track in the curvy bits despite the magnets. didn't run these but there were a couple groups that came in to race together for family fun day... totally "different" and I might have a go despite the culture clash because, well, you know... fun! 1/24 racing can be had on the tri-oval or a reverse King road course (not just backwards, it's a mirror-image. trust me on this one) some folks like the hi speed circle tracks but I like to drive the road courses because you actually get to drive: fast, slow, brake (yes, brake!) really fast, crash... the whole nine yards. spend what you want and have some fun. I'm in for a deuce on a stock box car and it runs fine so I'm just paying for track time. interesting parts and recreation department department: Denny is friendly and helpful and will talk to you at your knowledge level instead of spewing techno-babble. he is a superb reference and skilled mechanic who keeps the house cars tuned up and will help resolve your issues with a full line of parts and accessories to fix what's broke plus new stock for what can't be fixed. BTW: not enough FAST counts as broken ;-)
