It is a pawn shop, but really it is a gun dealership. I purchased a Glock 17 from Dewey's and in the political season and season of protests, etc. that we have been experiencing, was pleasantly surprised that the prices were reasonable. This purchase was for my now 21 year old son's birthday. They do have a good bit of jewelry, but the firearms business is booming. The employee who helped me said their main supplier has been told to just ship them whatever he gets because demand is so high. Ammunition sales only go to whomever purchases a firearm, so I purchased 60 target rounds, also at a reasonable price. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Also, there is a shooting range option if you wish to try out the firearm. Great service! Minimal selection due to current demand, but that is understandable. read more

Clearly one of the largest pawn shops in the Greenville area. So if you want to browse one of the largest selections within the local area, this is a good choice. They have a lot of the jewelry and an on-site jeweler, plus the tools you will see elsewhere, but they really stand apart with the number of firearms they have. They also had a good selection of guitars compared to their local competition. For that reason, Deweys would be a great place to shop if you're into hunting or shooting sports. read more

Please consider this review as one-off experience. I normaIy have positive dealings at Dewey's. They have a good firearms business and for a quick pawn loan they are fair and friendly. Today I attempted to sale some nice home speakers aided by the associate Christian. He did a review of eBay to ascertain value and made an offer 50 percent below going rate. I first this seemed low. But I had additional similar items I could assume the loss. After thinking about the cost and effort it would take me to unload the speakers I returned to the store informing Christian that I had additional item to include for sale. He denied expanding the transaction beyond original items. Conveying that the initial offer was too generous. This was belittling and unprofessional. Received a considerate response from this evening I have amended my review to reflect this. read more

Dewey's is the best pawn/gun shop in Greenville. They have a great selection of new and used guns including high end rifles.
