As a cable customer I subscribe to HBO, one of the perks they advertise is the HBO GO mobile service but I am unable to watch a movie due to connection issues regularly. When I speed test my connection I am returning a d/l rate inline with my subscription, but when I use it to connect to anything requiring bandwidth such as steaming video it stutters and stops continuously. I will keep lobbying my local elected officials to open up our choices. Columbus GA has numerous providers and their Mediacom rates are only 2/3 of mine with actual usable service. Cable isn't much better with digital effects occluding the picture which are worse when it is humid or raining. If you are looking for service I'd strongly recommend a dish service and cellular internet.

My parents had only had Charter for a short time before my dad passed away. When my mom and I went to the local office to change service into her name, Terri helped us quickly and treated us with such kindness and respect. The same day, after business hours, my mom's phone service curiously went out. After speaking with two different "customer service representatives" at the national call line, nothing was resolved and it was recommended that we exchange our modem at the local office. A service call was also made for THREE DAYS LATER. As I was leaving for SC the following day, this was not an option. I wasn't going to leave my recently widowed mother without phone service. So, the following morning I showed up at the local office with modem in hand, and luckily had Terri helping me once again. I was first told that the call center was wrong, and I could not exchange a telephone modem. This has to be done by a technician. She immediately put the wheels in motion to have my mother's phone service repaired that day and assured me a technician would be at the house between 1-3:00. At 2:55, a friendly technician showed up and within 10 minutes, service was restored. As it turns out, the problem was an error made by a previous technician and it was just a fluke that the service went out when it did. It was also something the national CSRs should have been able to help us with over the phone but they were/are obviously inadequately trained, which is distressing. So, the five stars are not so much for Charter as a whole but to the local office in Stockbridge. We are thankful the issue occurred while we were in town so we could help my mom with the resolution. We also thank Terri and recommend a raise for this very kind and compassionate employee who knows how to get the job done.

As soon as the installer left, the Eero system went offline. I contacted tech support and waited on hold for about nine minutes. After spending roughly 30 minutes troubleshooting, the technician was unable to provide a solution. Shortly after, our representative connected us with Liz from Tier 1 technical support. Her interaction was unprofessional and rude to both me and Trish, which was very disappointing. After Trish left, the internet did restore; however, only one of the Eeros were working, and the signal was unstable consistently. Due to these ongoing issues and the poor support experience, we have decided to cancel service and remain with our local provider.

Save yourself the headache--skip this store entirely and just have support mail your equipment or send a technician. And, because I only have Internet for my place, it took a bit of research to find another provider. But, once I did, canceling Spectrum service was not easy! I know the CSR has a speil that he has to go through, to try and keep you as a customer (going so far as to offer, 1Gb service for$40.00/mo.; Why couldn't they have offered a discount when I called a few weeks previously asking about it?). But, between that, and asking irrelevant (and, irritating) questions, such as who's my Cellphone provider and, how much I pay, it's ridiculous that it took over 14 minutes to cancel the service. And, on top of that, I have to return the modem and router to either, a Spectrum Store. Or, send the stuff back via, The UPS Store. :-( Though, I did like them, their price increases have gotten out of hand.
