The receipt says parts brought in can be used without a warranty. We were told they can't be brought in. We, my husband and I, brought in our SUV with two working high beam headlights. When we decided to stop work due to extra work and prices being added, our SUV was returned to us in worse shape than when we brought it in. This should not happen. We agreed to pay for the work that had been done. After spending nearly 300 dollars there is one working high beam headlight. Ethical behavior doesn't seem to matter to the people running this establishment. We understand that this could be a civil case and we're working through the process.

I took my truck into Allan who did a short trouble shooting, and said the truck needed a replacement rear end. I trusted him and spent $2300 for him to put a "used" resend in only to have it start leaking the next day. The replacement rear end was supposed to have new wheel bearings, brakes and seals with it, and I had a 30 day warranty. 2 weeks into the 30 day warranty period the rear end started dumping fluid on a short trip to NC. I called Alan to ask what to do and he said he would call the place he got it from, and call me back. I never heard from Alan again. The cost to repair the rear end properly was $1000 and I was shown how nothing was replaced on the reared before it went on the truck. Mud in the wheel bearings, grease in the brakes and blown seals. I would not take anything back to this guy ever.

We were in the process of bringing it back up for some repair work and after speaking with Michael, who never seems to get a day off, we were told that some of that work was not needed and that it would cost us extra money that we could keep. Never in my life have i had a mechanic tell me that he thought that some of the work would not be needed. I checked with a family member who concurred with Michael's diagnosis. Anybody needing work done on a vehicle should take it to American Tire. Finding an honest mechanic is not only rare, but finding one that does A+ work as well is impossible. I had a lot of work done on my car for various major maintenance items which I had priced both the work at the dealership and the retail price of the parts. Everything from a coolant flush to spark plugs to new gaskets (and my model of car requires an annoying amount of labor to get at so many of its parts...) and yes, a tire and alignment. All in one go. They detailed what the car needed, gave a firm quote and didn't start work until I gave the OK. Total for work was under 60% of what the dealership quoted and no, the dealership wasn't scamming, it just has higher prices (they've done good work in the past). My car handles far better than it did before and some potentially more expensive problems were averted. No complaints at all about cost or service. 4 stars rather than 5 because unfortunately its a bit of a hike from Louisville and I have only this one set of repairs to judge by. Still, I'd take my car back anytime for parts and general repairs. I have heard that a lot of the trucking companies in the area use them also.

This is going to be kind of a long post about Quick Care Oil Lube Express Off of Bloomfield road…read moreand their "work". I have picture proof below of everything. Let me preface by saying this first. The work they did was done the last week of January this year. Ever since then i have had issues with my car. I understand it is now the end of june but i have not had the money to take my car to a shop to get looked at as we moved across the country to colorado in february. The car was towed on a dolly during our move, so it was not driven across the country. Thankfully with some assistance from my amazing mother i was able to buy a car shortly after moving here and my beetle (the car they worked on) has mostly been sitting since we moved. After getting my REAR brakes worked on in january i left the shop the first time and i couldn't stop my car without pressing the brake petal all the way to the floor (almost as if the brakes were not bled). I brought the car back immediately and after they looked at it again and was told i needed to take it to a VW dealership because they couldnt fix the issue. They bled the brakes and the issue was slightly better but not much better at all. I still had to push the brake petal down a significant amount. I then took a short trip to etown and then my FRONT tire almost fell completely off. Every single lug nut was not properly tightened down and due to this THREE of them fell off while i was driving. Thankfully it happened when i got into etown and not while going down boston road, as the road is curvy and lined with trees on both sides. Then not even a month after this work was done, the car began to make a horrible grinding sound on the left rear side (the side on which the brakes where worked on). By this time i had already moved to colorado so taking the car back to them was not an option. And i had just gotten my new (used) car at this point so like i stated earlier thats why the car has sat until now. Fast forward to now... I now finally have enough money to get the car taken to get looked at. Well here are the findings of what was done by them. The left rear caliper bolt is missing, this is causing metal on metal grinding. I will now need new brake pads, calipers and rotors. This is going to cost me $1,300. This is all due to the half ass work done by quick care. I am extremely upset as i do not have the money to even come close to fixing this issue and will end up having to sell the car due to this. This was the first car i ever purchased by myself so i am extremely upset that i will now have to sell it. I am extremely disappointed in quick care as i have had a few oil changes done by them and had an excellent experience every time, well until now. So... if you want good work done, steer clear of quick care.
