Great if you have 5 star experience, but if they make a mistake good luck getting it resolved. Loose drain plug eventually falling out on interstate and ruining a brand new engine. Being they were the only folks touching drain plug after engine was installed, it's pretty obvious it was their negligence during oil change that led to my major personal and financial headache. Tried to resolve with Tony the owner, but he became VERY defensive, verbally aggressive, and ultimately untruthful about what was done during the service. Zero accountability and integrity they claim to pride themselves on. Choices of small businesses are what makes our community great, if you like to gamble this is your place, if you like to get an oil change from competent, friendly staff and a company willing to make their mistakes right if they happen, find another place. read more

I'm so glad I came in here. I'm traveling in a van and was time for a oil change. I bought all the stuff to do it myself, changed the oil filter and then noticed my oil drain plug was stripped. After trying a few places came to Empire and was greeted by Tony. Explained the situation and he said he'll have a look at it. He tried a few tricks and was able to get it loose and drain it. Even put a new drain plug in. Since I had my own oil we filled it up and when I asked what I owed him (plug,labor,etc) he said "don't even worry about it, I see your traveling and we like to help people." Whaaat!? These guys were great and efficient. My car takes a weird oil (0w 20) but they had it, and I could see the dispenser that it was in, clearly labeled, from my car. They were really nice and the guy asked if I knew how to reset the oil alert on my car (nope!) And did it for me. Everything took less than 10 minutes! Hands down, some of the best service you can get at any business in town! Every time I get an oil change here I'm compelled to tell someone about how great they are. I have no affiliation with the owner and in fact, can't even think of his name. (Had to search it and I believe it's Todd Roach) That's kind of shameful considering how great he's been to me. 1. Quality people: The most polite, straightforward man you'll ever run into, owns the shop and oversees a crew of equally polite and attentive employees. He lets me know he appreciates my business. That shouldn't be rare but it is elsewhere. Every single time I've been there he stops to say "Thank you sir. We really do appreciate your business." ....Good luck finding that at a dealer service center. 2. FAST: The service is EXTREEMELY fast and reliable. The sign says 15 min oil change but it's never taken me more than 5. They have a waiting room, but the dust on the chairs is proof most people don't get a chance to sit before they're done with the work. 3. Quality service: I can honestly say I trust the work done here because this man lives on his reputation alone (more on that below). Today he offered 3 types of oil change services. I asked for HIM to pick the best of the 3 services he offered me because I trust him that much. What he picked happened to also be the cheapest one! I walked out not only in under 5 min but under $35. 4. The extra mile: I want to tell you why I trust this place so much. My last vehicle before this one was a pile, which was apparent from not just under the hood but from a block away. I mention that because finding something critically wrong with that vehicle wouldn't be a shock to anyone working on it. It had been in other shops and it was not uncommon to hear "ohh and here's a list of stuff you probably already know about...but I wouldn't fix it I would just get rid of it." So, While I was in for an oil change at Empire, Todd informed me I was almost completely out of trans fluid!!! He said it was possible that it was due to what looked like damage to the trans and depending on how long is been running like this may be a costly fix. He also mentioned it could just be a "head gasket leak" in the trans, which would be lucky and cheaper to fix. He finally mentioned it wouldn't be safe to drive much longer and that I should go have it worked on NOW. I know what you're thinking, but this was not your typical up sell for the next (costly) service because Empire Oil doesn't work on trans or even have the fluid to replace it to get me to the next shop. See...He only told me out of concern for the old beater and for my safety! He let me know the trans needed attention NOW and that wherever I took it, I should mention that it was just possibly a leak in the head gasket so that the next shop understood the entire trans maybe didn't need to be replaced. Then he mentioned someone who could work on it that he trusted. This is where it got interesting. The person he mentioned was someone who I happened to also know already and who is unquestionably honest and fair. Todd didn't know that I had been previously helped out of a crisis by the person he recommended when I was a poor college kid. He had no clue that they had replaced a trans when I couldn't afford it for just the price of parts! He certainly didn't know that I would have any reason to trust his recommendation at the time, to drive all the way out to the edge of town for help rather than pull the thing into the dealership across the street...but he did care enough to at least say something. Giving me someone he trusted sealed the deal for me. He could have sent me nowhere at all, but cared that if he couldn't do it himself, that I get the best that could perform the work. What's more is, he didn't even have to tell me about the flaw in that old car in the first place and certainly didn't have any dog in the fight sending my business elsewhere to have it fixed. But hearing that he cared enough to mention the fix and that we had both independently experienced trustworthy work at another shop verified what I suspected... Todd Roach is doing honest work and deserves your business. read more

Read these reviews they sound like there all written by the same person So I read some of the Yelp reviews , So I call,, I go there , they have me pull straight in I'm not even out of the car and there trying to up sell me to synthetic oil I said no I just want regular 5w 20,, and your going to grease it ? he says No its more ,I said how much ? he says I don't know So I thinking almost $45 bucks and your not going to grease the front end?? by now its to late they pulled the plug and the old oils out ( ( I had a bad gut feeling when I pulled in there ,the oil change technicians looked like stoners )) try to up sell me,, top off all the fluids ???..No there OK,,You sure?? Yes,, I just want the oil changed,,Well maybe you want to replace the oil plug for $7.95 ,, No I just want the oil changed with 5w 20 ,,, so Im watching them put in bulk 5w 30 I can see that's the only regular bulk oil they have ..So yeah there fast,, I've work in a car garage few years and have always worked on my own cars ,brakes ,,R and R engines ,everything but transmissions ,,when I'm at home 600 miles away I do all my own car work.. But I'm just passing thru, I just want the oil changed ( I did grease it before I left home but that's not the point )) ,if they had the capacity to grease a car it would take one minute longer but it would be less quick cash,, so there you go ,I wouldn't go back Maybe it my fault when I called I should have asked if they grease the car??
