She does absolutely beautiful work. In fact, everyone here has beautiful work. Every single artist here is truly that, an artist! They regularly have their own personal art hanging on the walls of the building. Every few months, they also have gallery events for new art shows they're hosting! The interior is super clean. The girl running the desk is very nice and efficient, and setting appointments is easy-peasy. They're very welcoming, especially to someone who had never walked into a tattoo shop before and wasn't just getting a tiny black and white piece. I absolutely adore bats…read moreand wanted to get some new bat ink - Sugar Skull Bat or Fruit Bat - the jury was out on which I would rather have because I knew I'd love them both equally. The artist I generally go to never emailed me back, so I found Josh Barg on the list of people he follows on Instagram. There were other artists as well who do great work, but not really the style I go for in tattoos. I'm not into portraits or black & gray. I prefer colorful tattoos that are either Traditional or Cartoon style. I emailed Josh about what I wanted and heard back from him pretty quick. Couldn't have been more than 1-2 days. I drove up to the shop, we discussed the design, made the appointment (5 days from then), and I left him a deposit. I received an email from him yesterday (Saturday) asking what I thought about a bat head with sugar skull designs, but I really couldn't picture it. I wasn't sure it would still look like a bat without the wings. Well I went in there today (Sunday) and when he showed me the sketch I immediately knew it was a little Vampire Bat! I fell in love with it! He also drew up a little Fruit Bat in flight, but for the placement, I knew the Sugar Skull Vampire Bat was the one. The tattoo took about 2 hours. It was mesmerizing watching him create this awesome little dude on my arm. His lines are clean and thick, which I love! It's seriously flawless! He really did a great job on the color too. I told him the colors I wanted, but he chose the placement for them. From the spider web to it's little piggy vampire nose. I love every detail of this masterpiece - big and small. I'm so happy with it I pretty much haven't taken my eyes off of it. Josh is definitely an artist I'll keep in my life and continue to go back to - so much talent! If you like Traditional tattoos, do yourself a favor and check him out! You won't be disappointed.

My best friend and I decided to get matching My Chemical Romance tattoos to solidify our love for the 2000s emo pop punk band. In her Instagram research, Brooke came across Kyle Evans and immediately noticed some other MCR tattoos he's done. Obviously he was the right artist for us! She booked an appointment for the following month. All artists at futurelazertiger are by appointment only and do their own booking. No phone calls! On the day of our appointment, we both parked on the side street near the building and went inside. The waiting area is small but welcoming. Kyle came out immediately and introduced himself. Through email, Brooke gave him an idea of what we were looking for. He was so excited to show us what he designed and we immediately fell in love. I was first in the chair. Kyle was quick with setup, made sure I was comfy and got to work. He was super-relatable. We chatted about music and restaurants and our tattoos. His touch was light, which was great on the back of my arm. My finished tattoo is GORGEOUS. It's my first large tattoo, so I'm thankful it was done by such a talented artist. While he was doing the MCR tattoo, we talked about my crappy owl tattoo I got back in June by a nervous apprentice at a shop in Denver. Kyle offered to redo it since he was already set up with black ink anyway. That was super-nice of him. He transformed that tiny tattoo into something I am proud of! Brooke got the same design on her thigh. Kyle did a great job making the tattoos with the same overall design but putting his own spin on the details. The shop is very open, with no wall separation between the tattoo stations. I'm sometimes weird about that, but luckily all the artists in the shop were all very friendly and down-to-earth. I didn't get the "holier-than-thou" vibe from anyone. They do not perform piercing at this shop, fyi. Brooke and I paid cash, but Kyle did give us the option to pay by card. I don't know if there would have been an additional fee to do that. futurelazertiger is an excellent tattoo shop in a good location with world-renowned artists. I suggest following their shop Instagram page to familiarize yourself with their artists. Each artist has their own Instagram page where you can find their email address for inquiries about booking.
