I purchased tickets through what looked like a site for my local venue in October for a June event. I was contacted in March about a "change" to the delivery method for my tickets - as if I had inquired about it, which I had not. They indicated that "once my order was processed" they would send me the tickets - at least 4 days in advance of the event. Today, one day before the event, I called them to see where my tickets were and they kept me on hold for 15 minutes and then told me that they made a mistake and didn't actually have tickets for me. They claim they are refunding the purchase price, but I have not yet seen this refund. Do not use them. Also, they have a grade of "F" on the BBB site in Connecticut. (Which I only found out while googling while I was on hold and had a sinking feeling in my gut about this whole scam.) read more

Ticket brokers are essentially legalized scalpers. Lots of states like Georgia decided they'd rather make tax money off of licensed brokers rather than no money off guys selling tickets in the streets. It's a service that lets companies like Empire sell tickets they acquire to sporting events, theater shows, and concerts at a premium above the face value. Using a ticket broker is pricey, and it really depends on the demand of an event as to how much above the face value they'll charge. But, if you need tickets to something that's sold out and you'd rather not trust to getting lucky and finding a scalper on the street then this is a good option. I've used Empire a few times to get good seats for the Braves and to a couple of sold out concerts. They take orders via phone or their website and have pretty good customer service. The prices of their tickets also fluctuate based on how many tickets for any given even are available and how close to the event it is. read more

Deceitful website looked like my local venue. Pricing looked to be direct from my local venue however after going to box office to get tickets we found out we had been deceived into paying $790 tickets that are really worth $150. Lies lies lies. They asked you that you can apply the money spent on tickets to future events if you are unable to attend the original event. Nope. Due to an emergency we were unable to go the event I had saved almost 2 years for. I called customer service as soon as I knew we weren't going to be able to attend the event. Now I have an opportunity to treat my kid to an amazing show. I called Ticket Empire to redeem my credit only to be told it is their policy to not refund money or apply credits. The saying you get what you pay for is TRUE! We bought 4 tickets for Friday night and 4 tickets to Saturday night to Beer Tents at Oktoberfest in Munch. Not the cheapest - BUT they were worth every penny! We were not going to Oktoberfest in Munich Germany--without the guarantees of a reservation into Beer tents and Empire took care of that. They got us reservations into the tents we asked for. They were delivered the tickets as promised. Communication was solid and consistent the entire process. Initially this seemed like a reputable outfit. Site was easy to navigate, prices competitive, and tickets purchased for Christmas gifts and paid for. But then.... Two days after I booked my tickets i received a call saying there was an error and four seats were not actually available together as indicated in the seat chart. So I had to select a date that wasn't preferred, but would do. I was told I would receive an upgrade for the same price. Purchase confirmed. After waiting almost two months for my tickets to arrive I began to call. I received two separate recorded messages saying my tickets had not been assigned a shipping number, but I didn't panic as they were paid for and there was still time. About a week out from my performance date I asked to talked to someone. Lots of time on hold, apologies, and reassurance the tickets would ship that day and be in my hands in time as they "guaranteed the tickets" - whatever that means. Three days later four tickets arrived. More confusion insued as my name wasn't on the tickets, but rather a stranger's name. Ticket price was much less than what I'd paid (I'd been charged $250 more than on tickets) and the seats were less than desirable. Some kind of upgrade! More phone calls. Turns out the four tickets I received were actually printed as a wholesale receipt. The name on the tickets was the company buyer, the price was their price. What a crappy way to do business. I had to see the Cavs in person and since all the play off tickets sold out in like 30 minutes I had to hunt for a paid. Empire Tickets to the rescue, they got me in the building and a better price than I expected. I wasn't trying to sweat on me so I didn't need floor seats (200 level). These people get NO stars from me. They got 1 start only because I can't submit this w/o at least one start. Tickets for Chicago went on sale in Tallahassee, FL on 12/18/2017. I immediately bought 2 front and center tickets from Ticket Empire.. A few days ago I got a call from them and they said that they couldn't get those tickets but they could 'UPGRADE' me for the same price. After looking at the seating chart I realized that what was being offered to me was NOT an upgrade and I declined and am currently awaiting my refund. Empire is a rip off. They sold tickets to a friend for a concert at $15 above the box office price and tickets were available at the box office.She went to Empire's website and it said no tickets available call us so she assumed that the show was sold out when she called. After realizing her mistake and calling back they said sorry we can't give you a refund as we got them from a broker. So they buy tickets, then sell them for a jacked up price and scam unknowing buyers into paying more for a ticket than it is worth. Okay, I can understand that if the show is sold out, but if you can still get tickets at the door or box office then wtf! Capitalism at its worst. I would avoid them like the plague. read more
