I don't have kids, but I've seen them working with kids, and if I had kids... this is where I'd have them train. They know what they're doing and if your kids are serious about basketball, they need personalized training like this early on in their development. Napans should be lucky they have a local resource because most cities this size don't. Speaking as an adult, they've been just as great. I recently moved to Napa and Mike found me a team for the winter and spring seasons in the city's rec league and right away invited me to their Sunday night open gyms. Basketball is just a hobby now as I approach my 30s but the level of organization they put into the open gyms and the rec league is really stunning. It's high competition without all of the usual problems (complaining, too much waiting) of most city's open gyms and leagues. You can actually work out and have fun for 2 hours instead of sitting around watching people argue calls. This isn't a side gig for Mike and Zane -- they're professionals, and you can expect professional treatment whether you are just getting started in sports or you've been doing it (poorly) for a few decades, these are the guys to see.

Hopefully in 2026 they can invest in upgrading this to a consistent modern standard - bare bones locker rooms - bring everything if you'll use it other than soap (your own lock, blow dryer, shampoo etc); if you won't need it then ofc not an issue - no suit dryer - most gyms that I've been in with a swimming pool also offer this spinning machine that wicks away the moisture in your swimsuit and often comes with a plastic bag dispenser for you to put the swimsuit in afterwards. Not here. - older cardio machines, and some show it. - older workout machines that show it too, like seat cushions that are split with foam coming out

From day one, the coaches have been incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and patient, breaking down techniques into clear, repeatable steps that really click with the kids. They take time to answer questions, offer one-on-one guidance, and make sure every player feels confident and encouraged. After just one season at East Bay Volleyball Club, my daughter's growth has been amazing. She loved attending clinics with Coach Sarah and immediately connected with her positive, engaging teaching style. What's meant the most, though, is how supported and included she feels. She's naturally introverted, but on this team she's truly come out of her shell--she looks forward to every practice and game. She loves the team and her coaches! Coach Sarah, Coach Winter, and the entire staff at East Bay Volleyball Club are not only highly experienced and skilled but also genuinely invested in each player's development. They create a fun, welcoming environment for the kids, while keeping a strong focus on teamwork and fundamentals. Their encouragement builds both skill and confidence in the players. If you're considering clinics, private lessons, or having your kid play at the club volleyball level, I can't recommend East Bay Volleyball Club enough. It's been an incredible experience--we'd give them 10 stars if we could!
