My girlfriend and I go every new comic book day to pick up my pulls. When I'm browsing the variants she's on the couch playing with the doggies. I only read marvel comics. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable about his books. He even put me on some indies. He also posted weekly videos on new books and hot sauces. This is your one stop shop for new comics! I recommend being a "savings club members" for monthly perks, local events and pull list!

These guys are great. Hit them up twice today during there early Black Friday sale. I won't be needing to many more back issues after today! 50 cent books and half off new variants. They had hella variants in the back issues and I was charged the sale rate of 50 cents to a dollar (books over 5-10$). Sweet come up. Just wanted to show appreciation and give a review. Least I can do. They are also active in the community. Authentically active. And regularly too. Don't be surprised to find signed books on the wall at cover. They have a podcast I need to peep and a painting night too. Also a drawing a day fb group too. Very cool. 10% off and bags/boards for customers with pulls. They are on my wed new comic connoisseur tour.

Came here on Free Comic Book Day. There were plenty of activities for the children even a food truck - Wandering Boba. Several people were dressed up as The Avengers and other characters. The free comic line was being monitored very well with 20 let in at a time. My only complaint was that the store had a rather dank smell. I don't know if it was because of the people inside or if that is the usual smell. However, the owners were very nice and actively involved with the customers. I would definitely bring my kids back to find comics.

They always support a local artist every month by displaying their art on the shops wall. Sometimes the pieces are for sale too

What can I say, this is my favorite comic book shop in the area. Ben is awesome. Knowledgeable and he is always in a good mood. He's fun to talk to also! The pugs that run around the store, are an added bonus for a dog lover that lives in an apartment that won't allow dogs! I at least get to interact with them every Wednesday! New comics are always easily displayed and accessible. Plus they always have a movie or music playing so it gives off a comfortable vibe. They have other things going on during the weeks to keep your comic/nerd interest and Ben even hosts special events once in a while. I highly recommend this shop!

Ask the Community - Empire's Comic Vault

    Do they sell mangas?

No. However they can usually order what you want, I believe, if you put in a request.

    Do they have Pokémon?

We don't carry any games. We recommend Viking Hobby, in Carmichael, for tabletop games and model kits, and Great Escape Games for tabletop games, card games, figurine games, and the space to play. Also, Great Escape is just down the street from us.…

Do they have Pokémon cards here?

No, they do not. I don't believe they sell any trading or playing cards here.

My comic-book-collecting husband rarely leaves Big Brother empty handed. For Dungeons & Dragons fans, there is a wall full of character minis to choose from. I was so excited to find my characters and my friends' characters after not finding them at other comic book stores. They also have board games and accessories. I particularly love looking at the display cases. Lots of the figurines spark childhood memories which make the shopping experience extra fun. You can tell that each item is handled with care and priced appropriately for collectors. Don't forget to look up to admire the wall decorations! The owners and employees put a lot of thought into this shop to make it fun for patrons of all ages.

I am not a comic book person, but I do like visiting and walking around like I know what I'm looking at. My husband is a nerd for comics so we popped in to see what new stuff they had. I liked seeing all of the cool interesting games, books and figurines. They offer so much at this store and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly! My husband bought the Ultimate Spiderman comic and my daughter picked out a Teen Titans Go book - I think it came out to a little over $30 for both so not too bad. Pricing was fairly decent - you get what you pay for and depending on the rarity! They even have a large room with tons of tables and chairs next door for gaming with friends. Overall, Big Brother Comics is a pretty cool store! I'm sure we'll be back soon!

I found three things I didn't know I needed within the first ten minutes. the selection is genuinely impressive across categories. fiction, nonfiction, history, art, local interest, vintage stuff you won't find anywhere else. prices are what used books should cost, nothing felt overpriced and I felt like I was getting a deal on basically everything I picked up. the R Street location is perfect, great neighborhood, easy to make it part of a longer afternoon in Sacramento. staff was friendly and clearly knows the store well. there's something about a good independent bookstore that just makes a city feel more alive and Beers Books absolutely does that for Sacramento. if you're visiting or you live there and haven't been, go on a slow afternoon and give yourself time to actually wander. you'll find something.

Somehow, being in a bookstore with other book lovers, you just feel a different vibe that you don't feel when you're outside of those doors.
