What a great experience. This was my first time zip lining and Riley and Preston were professional, engaging, upbeat, and thorough. We went ziplining during their moonlight 9pm tour and it was a great adventure. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt confident and empowered when transitioning to each zip line or bridge. It even rained during our night tour and they remained professional and kept everyone's spirts up. We also heard a bear roar during our tour which was a bit scary, but also cool at the same time. It did help with the fear that we were several feet off the ground. We were provided with gear, glow lights for our helmets and the hands on training exercises before we embarked were priceless. Everyone wore their masks and it was a nice outing to experience durning COVID-19. Heads up this activity is hosted by a third party on the Salamander resort (which is a beautiful property) but is pretty deep in the woods. read more

My wife's sister got us two tickets to this as a Christmas present. We took off for a day in June 2022 and did the Treetop Zip Line adventure. We were on time and got carted to the course but they were expecting three people to join us. As it turns out, those three people thought they had signed up for a different time so my wife and I got to do this with just us and our two guides. Our guides were Tim N. and Gwen. We had done a Zip Line adventure with our kids in Williamsburg but this was completely different than that. After a very brief training and test on how to stop yourself on the zip line, we headed for the course. In total, there were five zip lines on the course and the guides gave us some history and fun facts between each zip line. After going down the first two, I was very confident in my braking and making sure I got to the platform at the end. My wife had some issues braking throughout all five zip lines. Since there were only two of us doing the adventure, the owner said we could go through the course again. Our guides said this does not normally happen. I was excited to go through the course a second time and my wife got way more comfortable braking during this second trip through. Our guides were friendly and very helpful. They had to pull my wife in a couple of times and they were great at walking her through it and were very patient. Based on this experience, we will definitely come back when the kids are old enough to join us. read more

I came across the zipline tour through Groupon. I thought it would be a great gift for our kids after completing their final tests. My eight years old son however chickened out at the last min and I ended up going with my daughter. I am glad he didn't go in retrospect because knowing him, he might not have finished the course. We had Sam and Shea first and Roby and Matt next. All the staff there are very supportive and amazing. They even took pics for everyone. My daughter and I have thoroughly the zipline tour by Empower Adventure. We highly recommend the tour to everyone, and we will be back when my son is ready to do ziplining. I strongly recommend Empower adventures. I took my wife and her best friend out for a day of fun and it was delivered. They zip lined and rappelled while I took pics from below. Bryan and Jack were super friendly while also maintaining professionalism in a safety first environment. Their love for the job and experience was easy to see. My wife was very scared on the 1st two zips but she overcame it with a little help from the team. My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary with the Zip and Sip package at the Salamander Resort. It was so much fun. The Zip Tour Guides were outstanding. They really took their time explaining the safety features and ensuring each participant understood exactly what to do. The course features 6 great zips plus 2 suspension bridges. The views are beautiful. The zips are long and fast. As a couple, we had a really nice time, but I can also see this as a great Corporate team-building event and can be wonderful as a self-confidence builder. read more

What an exciting, memorable adventure! I purchased a TravelZoo.com voucher for a 2 hour tree top ziplining tour at 40% off their listed price. That was over a year ago & they're still running the same special, so I highly recommend starting your adventure there! Scheduling was easy, even when we had to reschedule. They offer a 1 time courtesy reschedule without penalty & they do operate regardless of rain or shine - so you may want to be mindful of that. We were paired with a family of 4 and had a great set of tour guides that took us across the lines and the 2 suspension bridges. The lines start short (90ft) and get longer (670ft) the further you get on the course. Since I had never ziplined before, I started somewhere between unsure & excited, and finished feeling empowered & ready for more! Unfortunately I don't recall our guide's names, but not only did they encourage, take awesome photos & offer fun facts of the surrounding area, but they were loving their jobs & really enhanced the fun. Definitely recommend the photo package they offer, it's such a minimal cost for capturing the fun-filled moments! read more
