Some improvements I've noticed lately:…read more - More frequent communication on social media and elsewhere digitally to members about happenings at the gym - Equipment repairs and even replacements of things like rope attachments for cables are happening quickly - Cleanliness overall is really good; I almost always see someone cleaning something when I'm there - Staff has been very friendly and helpful I also recently got a second gym membership at Planet Fitness* and have tried out several of their locations in northern Virginia since. And it's very clear what the difference between a ~$20 membership and a ~$60 membership get you. Compared to the 'chain gyms,' TFE is: - Way cleaner and better maintained, especially the locker room - Has a sauna, always a big bonus - Has additional strength training equipment, 1:1 cables, and weights that go up higher for those of us who are more experienced *Three big reasons I sprung for the outside membership: 1) TFE hours are rough sometimes to fit into my schedule especially the weekend hours. 24/7 gym is a necessity for me sometimes, even if I have to settle for a slightly less intense facility. 2) The day passes are so expensive. I imagine I can't be the only person who has a significant other or family member who doesn't live in the area but visits frequently enough to want to come to the gym. My girlfriend lives in Arlington so it'd be crazy for her to pay this gym's membership price to workout on the weekends with me, but it's actually cheaper for me to get a black card at PF than to buy even a couple day passes at TFE. I would recommend to TFE to think up its own version of a black card to allow for unlimited guests, perhaps throw in some massages at the salon inside the facility, etc. 3) It's month-to-month so there's no risk involved to try it. I understand why non-chains can't do this though as they likely rely on the people who sign up and then never come to keep crowds down but stay operational. Overall, TFE is great and you seem to get what you pay for compared to cheaper chain gym options, but I would love better weekend hours and more flexibility in bringing occasional guests as part of the membership.

They are attentive, are service oriented- have been able to accommodate our challenging schedule needs. Therapists are all very energetic and enthusiastic, and our kid loves coming here. Facilities seem great. Front desk staff are very attentive and kind. Being in healthcare I have to say they are doing an amazing job. There are so many limitations and restrictions and things that get in the way of a patient and getting what they need. The therapists are fun, engaging, and knowledgeable and the gym has many fun activities that my son enjoys. Everyone really cares, here, and parents are involved in the process. I've had to make an in person stop to pay taxes for my husband and I. For whatever reason they…read morenever mail my husband's statement and last year they neglected to mail out his county stickers. We've since moved and my name has changed because of marriage so I figured for me it would be best to come in and get this stuff updated. Also i never got my statement which I'm guessing they might have mailed to my old address and the post office hasn't forwarded. So alas my saga. Generally getting in and out isn't too painful thank goodness but I didn't want to elect to pay online and risk my stuff getting lost. Just FYI if you're in the same boat as me. When I paid my bill they said the info for the decal would show up under my old name/address unless I wanted to go a few doors down and change that info there first. Frankly I didn't care too much about that and told the lady I'd just rather pay everything now and I'll take care of the name and address change afterwards. So I did, I went a few doors down was able to get our addresses updated and I got my name updated although I think they might have already had that in the system considering I didn't need to show my ID. Overall, nice staff there so no complaints on that front. Let's hope finally they'll fix our stuff and resume to mailing us our stuff in a timely manner so we can pay our bills as required.

One thing we underestimated was the sheer strength you need in arm power for any of these workouts. Staff was friendly (shout out to Clay Elsbury, you the dawg), we went on a Thursday afternoon and we were practically the only ones in the gym for mostly the hour we were there. Set up is cool, upper floor seems like for the younger population vs. the bottom floor for more of the adults. They have a day pass for $30 (adults open access 12pm-8pm), and also a monthly membership w/ the routes changing every week! We will be coming again!

A group I have experienced at the wrong end of the spear twice. Nevertheless, on the first occasion, my wife's vichele was hit and USAA found the car crasher of USAA at fault. My wife's vichele was repaired at fast and alarming rate. The alarming part is a good thing in my opinion. It was at this time the idea of being with this company first entered my mind. However, I was with Geico and liked the service they provided, so I stuck it out with them. On the second occasion, I was rear-ended at the light by Tyson Corner Mall on March 4th 2025 at 8:33AM. The driver of the other vichele just happened to have the Insurance of United Services Automobile Association. During the time of the accident, my mind did not put together the acronym known by most people as USAA. I felt pain in my neck and lower back for a short time after the accident. Still, the driver who hit me took responsibility for it, and this is one reason I called his Insurance and got the ball rolling instead of my insurance. Something you should know, We are no longer with Geico. They got expensive for us. I don't care for the insurance group we are with now, so switching to USAA would be nice. After talking with a female insurance agent about settling everything, I felt a lot better then my first call with a male insurance agent. A week later a check for compensation came in, with two doctor appointments taken care of as well. I even got my car inspected to assess the damage caused in the accident. All that comes next is getting my car repaired at no cost to me and rental car during my vichele repair time. This will also be at no cost to me. All this happened with two weeks time. This I must say, is a step in the right direction at making things right. Today is March 28th 2025. I haven't heard back from the collision center regarding the ordered parts for my vichele. I will give it another week then contact the collision center to find out what's going on. I will have a follow up on USAA and write a review on the collision center. Hopefully everything thing goes according to plan. If so, I will do my darnedest to become a member of USAA like I did with Navy Federal Credit Union.

I had a bad experience when I needed a confirmation of account standing letter and for some reason the representative enter my phone password wrong and block my account ,then no one was available to fix the issues every single representative they do not what must to do even the security manager do not nothing about my case situation, was very frustrating situation and the near physical bank was a 3.5 hours away from my location.
