Dr. Kevin Conway assessed my running gate and worked with me for 3 months to help me return to running regularly and safely. He customized exercises and stretches to help build up my strength so I felt more stable and strong in my runs. During PT sessions, Kevin would consistently check my form. He would also adjust my PT work out to push me to get stronger as well as adapt the work out as new issues would arise. Kevin's calm, positive demeanor was reassuring and encouraging. I've worked with many PTs over the years but always ended up re-injuring myself eventually when returning to running. I was in pain, anxious, stressed, and had barely slept for 3 weeks since the fracture occurred. When I did see her, we had an honest chat about the state of affairs. All have their own styles but there is something fundamentally lacking - they all typically take a one size fits all approach - working from the back down to the legs, then front for a bit and then wrap up. This is even with masseuses I've used many times - I'm guessing the massage establishments just train them that way. However, Karalyn combines massage with PT, really working problem areas and going hard at it. The result - you get the therapeutic benefits of the massage and the science of PT, which drives rapid recovery where you really need it. As only a rare and excellent massage can deliver, I ended light-headed and felt like jelly.
