Excellent PT group if you're willing AND able to work really hard. For inpatients only. Center is understaffed so Waits for care are long. All rooms and bathrooms must be shared by 2 and 4 patients respectively. No privacy. Hallways outside rooms are bright, noisy, and have staff talking inappropriately 24 hours a day. Very hard to sleep, rest, heal, or feel peaceful. read more

My grandfather needed some additional rehab after being in the hospital for a week. It was clean, the staff looked happy, and we were welcomed alll throughout the facility. There was also ample parking, which my family appreciates. Compared to other facilities, this one was the best one and we are glad we chose this facility. My cousin is currently in Mountain View Healthcare Facility recuperating from a sudden-onset inability to walk. He is getting such great care!!! Physical therapy, a comfortable room, and assistance getting outside to rest in the courtyard garden, which is peaceful and well-maintained. The staff has been incredible! Complaint upgraded clean and bathroom no smelly bad cleaning hall the way room need be cleaning inside and out

Why am I writing this? Exactly 2 weeks ago, my dad felt and injured his C5 and C6 (neck stuff) and was sent to ER for an emergency surgery. After CCU (ICU term I guessed) and normal room at hospital, was told he is ready to discharge to "rehab" facility (Skilled Nursing Facility) across the street. Honestly, I have no idea what to expect. Here is the list of people who helped a lot Admission office : Kat, Ralph (aka Bruno), Jonah.. helped so much explained to me on SNF 101 to 501. Then comes the nurse (Samantha, Mong, Angie Lechuga, Krutika, Johnicia ...)- they are super super busy but will do a "TIMEOUT" for me to listen and act on my request. Also big thank you to all the other CNAs (Masa, Rhea, Julia) they are quick to action (#1 , #2.. etc) Of course, we didn't forget the PTA (Dane) and OT (sorry, I missed them often during their visit, yes.. it's you I am thanking) Progress has been made hourly for sure daily. A family member was a patient at Mountain View Healthcare Center in January of this year. They were rushed to El Camino emergency where he passed that same night. When I picked up his effects the following day his various electronics (iPad, iPhone, earbuds and chargers) were not included. A follow-up visit with management the next day did not yield any sufficient answers or next steps. Made four follow up phone calls to a variety of management folks and left repeated messages. Never received a call back. It wasn't until I filed a police report that the items were suddenly found. Can't say for sure if this was theft or gross mismanagement but I would not recommend this facility to anyone I cared about. read more

It's skilled nursing (i.e. "nursing home") It is what it is. The care staff (CNAs, nurses, physical therapists, etc.) are very kind, and really helped my mom gain strength after her hospital stay. However...The inter-departmental communication is horrible. You need to stay on top of them regarding appointments, meetings with the care team or doctors, because you can never assume they know, even if they should. You need to actively advocate for your loved one's care. TL;DR: Caring care staff (for the most part), Poor communication and follow-through among the administrative departments. read more

I wanted to add a final update to my original review. The facility maintained my 5 out of 5 review. We had never experienced a rehab center only heard horror stories so we were very concerned initially. Jonah was fantastic. I can't thank her enough. She ensured a room for us and kept her promise to us. Thank you! In her absence she set us up with Ralph who was exceptional as well. He'd check in daily to make sure everything is up to our expectations. Tusi the RN, Chris the medication nurse, all the PT, OT staff (Thomas we loved your attitude and classes). It was really so caring. Rana, thank you! Dr. M, you treated her like your own family. Of course, like with any setting there are areas for improvement which is natural however if I had to do this all over again I'd choose Mountain View Health Center. We hope we won't have a return but my mom tells me "IF" ever, she wants to go back there. 33B :-)) Conveniently located. Parking near by. Loved ones welcomed. Beautiful gardens. I'll be sure to let our medical team know and my colleagues from El Camino Hospital. Thankfully our horror idea turned into a pleasant reality. Cannot say more for the qualitiy of care at MVHealthcare. I was transfered to that facility on April 13 and greeted by Ralph to br be signed in. I saw a lot of Ralph as his freiendly manner appeared in my room perioldly. I was transferd from Los Gatos El Camiino Hospitall with c.diff and was in isolatiion for about a week at MVHC. i was moved to two bed room with a women about my age. We had a lot in common and it was an enjoyable experience. Cannot say enough about the CNA'S particularly Margauerite in on the day shift and JT at night. i ws there for the OT nd PT and not diaappoionted. The sessions seemed short but they did the job. I am at home and ablel to move around with some. help. read more

I just have to tell everyone what a wonderful amazing excellent place this nursing skilled home is. All the nurses and the assistance and the employees are so so nice. The girls in the business office were amazing. I can't even tell you how much they helped my husband and I with everything. I just can't go on enough about what a wonderful place. This is the social office. They were outstanding. We met with the owners and told them how much we appreciated and how well they took care of my mother-in-law.
