She called me back after receiving my voicemail, and talked to me at length about how her therapy differs from others. All my friends said if someone oversells something, it's definitely not good. I had not much to lose and it was close enough for me to manage. Boy! was I suprised! That's an understatement. Every single session brought profound change. 'Bliss' is what I describe what I see after every session in a normally happy child. Gestures came out, expressive language skills sky rocketed, bi-lateral coordination improved, social skills improved, interactivity improved. Coginitive functions improved. We have been there for little over 6 months, I can't even remember how the kid was when we started. We are at a totally different level and I feel confident with every single session. Also, I haven't met a therapist who is so confident and assures us that our kids will be fine the way she does. She truly means it with all her heart. She is very confident in her therapy and so we see the results. She is as dedicated as one can be in her art of sensory processing. She is the best thing that happenned to us and I am grateful for GOD to lead us to her. She is also the best counselor when I go to her after a bad report from school. She boosts my morale instantly. She is always available, I report an issue or share input she responds immediately. At one time, I panicked after a school report and she was on vacation and I messaged what I can do about it. She called me, while on her vacation and spent over an hour over the phone, her personal time, reassuring me sensing my anxiety. I cannot think of anybody other than my family members being with me in such tough times. She spends way beyond an hour for the therapy sessions we go to with things like this. She is family that you don't know you need in the special needs journey. I wish she trains some OTs to expand her practice to make her services available for wider public. They are so needed for so many kids. Every dollar we spend is completely worth it. I say even if you have to mortgage your house to afford her therapy, go for it. That will be the best investment that will reap rewards down the road and save you so much anxiety after you see the kind of progress you wish to see in your child. As you see in other reviews this is a consistent experience for every client she sees. She never lets a client go, it is not believable that nobody ever stops her therapy to change to a different provider. She is the one stop shop. You will never need to look elsewhere and you WILL feel fully taken care of.

All of these BAD reviews are for a REASON. Do NOT leave your family or patient here. Unless you want them to be not fed, missed medication, WRONG medication, no baths missed. I emailed Adam to which He still has not responded but it's really good at responding here on Yelp to get everybody to think that he is actually doing something. So from management to the director of nursing, I promise you they do not care. They do what every other company does if you're a family member or friend or whatever and you show up they will act like everything is OK and all good. But in reality, all they do is hide from the truth fake comment on all their reviews. Send other people out to do their dirty work when you come, but will never address the issue with you personally, and that goes for the patients there or the family members that come to visit. The people here in management everybody that is up there is absolutely pathetic and I pray that they never have to go through this with their own family members. I was told it might have been from wet doormats, but even after they were replaced, the smell stuck around. While wearing a mask helped a bit, I genuinely feel for the PTs and staff who have to deal with that every day. I encourage office management / owner to investigate thoroughly to rule out any underlying issues - whether it's mold, plumbing, or something like a dead rodent in the walls or ventilation system. Ed participated in the group Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy classes. The part I had not anticipated was the camaraderie between the students. The students come from all walks of life with the common thread of their stroke. They were his friends and he rarely missed a class. I Arrived at the Terraces at 5pm on Saturday May 9…read more I was told there was a problem with my pills between ECH and Terraces so could I have someone bring all my pills up to the Terraces. They also could NOT find a walker so they asked if someone could bring that as well. I had already realized that there were only 2 outlets in the room that would not work for the ice machine and compression machine. So I had them bring up my large outlet and surge compressor to plug everything into. When my friend arrived with all the stuff she called and told me she and some other people were out front because nobody would answer the bell. Since I didn't have my walker yet. I had to sit in my bed and scream. I need help until somebody finally came to the door and said, what do you need? And I said, people are stuck outside. Turns out the person monitoring the door decided to take a break. I was warned that there is only a skeleton crew available on the weekend. Little or no PT or OT. PT which is the main reason I was at The Terraces have some very good people but the policy is not to schedule specific times. That they need to be flexible because people have other things they need to do. So they can just tell you morning or afternoon. Four days had passed and I'd never seen a real towel. There are paper towels, but that's it. So when they said Thursday is the day for you to take your shower? I was like, okay? And since I didn't know what time PT would be because they never tell you, I thought I better hurry up and get it done. So I go in the bathroom, I wash my hair. So I used a diaper like a turbine on my head to collect the water from my hair. It actually worked pretty well. And then I finally got done I wiped dry with the paper towels all the rest of me. After all this someone brought me towels. That was the first day on Thursday that I ever saw a towel. There was a wheelchair in my room that was broken and I said, well, why don't you go get another wheelchair and she says, we don't have any more. This is their business to have equipment that is working. So now I have a defective wheelchair sitting in my room, taking up space. Once again, because PT can't organize anything. She stopped by at quarter to 10 asked if i had my pain pill. I told her no but she could just request one from the nurse. She said she'd be back at 10. She finally returned at 11:05. I yelled at her. She took real offense at that. She said she couldn't get back when she tried. That's just the way it is here she reiterated. We don't do schedules. She told me she wasn't here to give me a session now but to put me off until later again. I'd been waiting since 10AM. She said she'd have to get somebody else to work with me. I agreed. I realized how she operated. She would whirl in like a tornado. Start taping exercise diagrams on the walls and then say she would be back later at her convenience. I asked if they could give me a window for PT. 8-10 or 10-noon. She said they never start at 8 and that they couldn't do windows either. There is no end to the incompetency and inefficiencies at this facility. I'm making a comedy out of this but the reality is there are people in this facility that may be in life and death situations, and it is not a laughing matter for them. They have a whiteboard where you can put down pain control, when you had your last dose, when's the next one, what your pain level is when your pt schedule is etc. But nothing is filled in on them. This place is run by the seat of somebody's pants, I just don't know who's really in charge. There is a whole team of hard-working people at the bottom that are trying to do their best. They are the people that serve your meals. The wonderful Peter, who changes the ice all during the day for my knee is smiley, nice really cares. The people cleaning people, the cna's some of the nurses, but management just lets everything run helter, skelter. The PT when it happens is good. You just don't know when it's going to be Happen. All I can think of is the patients are too old to care. They just do what they're told when they're told, and they don't have any advocates. I don't fit into that mold. And there's the infamous red button. They have a handset at each bed, to operate the TV, and it has one big red button you can push if you need help. You can kind of only push it once it's either like on or off. There is no two-way communication. Then you sit and wait. You could wait an hour. If you need help going to the bathroom, good luck. There are signs all over the walls. Call, don't fall, press the red button. What a joke. I think the last scheduling issue with the PT woman was the end of everything as far as I was concerned. There would be little or no PT on the weekend so I left at noon.
