Was told when I booked the appointment an automatic $35 gratuity would be added . The groupon stated no gratuity would be owed unless the groupon was purchased as a gift . I would never take an hour massage from an employee and walk out without a tip but it bugs me when people try to hussle me or when rules are inconsistent. The employee that booked the appointment was short and unprofessional she was the manager and her name was Nicole. I called in and spoke to the manager Nicole to confirm my own appointment and she was annoyed I had called and responded "we're not even open yet " . When I brought up the tip/voucher information she went off . Cutting me off , screaming , telling me she manages these coupons every day and she knows how to do her job . I explained maybe it was a discrepancy that needed to be emailed to corporate so they could sort it out . She hung up on me . When you call the hotel they say it's a third party and they have no control of the spa. I guess that's how she is getting away with that kind of behavior . I was excited about my spa day tomorrow and now i'm shaking from the interaction . This lady works in a spa ??? This person should be fired and never be allowed to work with the public. read more

I booked a last-minute Groupon at Emena Spa, and they were able to accommodate me the same day--very convenient! The spa is located on the 9th floor of the Hyde Hotel. For parking, you can choose between valet or self-parking. I opted for self-parking for $8, located behind the hotel. The spa was clean and had a relaxing ambiance. Emena Spa provides a robe and slippers for your use, which adds a nice touch to the experience.They offer a sauna but no steam room. In the men's locker room, both showers were missing shampoo, which was frustrating and unexpected. This is something they should monitor more closely to ensure everything is stocked for guests. Before your treatment, you can relax in the "relaxation room," where they provide water and Biscoff cookies while you wait for your therapist to collect you. My massage therapist was fantastic! I chose the 50-minute hot stone aromatherapy massage, which was incredibly relaxing and exactly what I needed. However, there is an added $37 service tip automatically applied, which goes to your therapist. While I appreciated the service, I found it a bit strange that they impose this fee instead of allowing customers to decide how much to tip based on their experience. Despite a few minor issues, it was an enjoyable visit, and I'd consider returning. read more

I'm a local and I drove about three minutes to get to this location. I purchased a Groupon for a 90 minute full body massage . After the purchase I was informed when making the reservation that I would have to pay nearly $30 for the valet and a guaranteed $50 to tip the massage therapist. I wish this was disclosed when making the purchase of the Groupon which was already $180. Upon arriving to the hotel, there was a line of about six cars before I could valet my car. the valet guy told me to go to a specific floor for the spa so I went up to that floor but it turns out he was wrong and he actually had told me which floor I was supposed to exit to receive my car when I would be finished. Very confusing. Signage not very good. Finally after I found the spa, the girl at the front desk, kept calling me my love. Usually this would be very sweet, but she literally said my love every three words, and it was a little overbearing but nonetheless, she seemed sweet. She told me I could wait in the locker room and showed me how to use the lockers and change, while I waited for my therapist. She told me there would be light snacks that I could help myself too, and showed me a few packs of wrapped crackers. See pictures included. The locker room was a disaster, because the toilet was broken and I could barely find the button to hold down for 20 seconds, or whatever to flush. That toilet paper holder was broken and leaning sideways, and it almost fell down, clattering to the floor. The gray bench was so stained and dirty that I did not even want to sit on it. The best part of the experience was the massage itself. The therapist listened to what I wanted and did a really good job. However, I would never again pay $180 plus the 30 for valet and the 50 for tip for some thing that only lasted 90 minutes and wasn't even including anything else except for the massage itself. Truthfully, leaving was a mission also because I went back down to the first floor to get my car only to be told by the valet guy that you received the car on the second floor. I guess that's what he was trying to tell me when I first arrived but I didn't really understand which is why I ended up on the wrong floor of the elevators. needless to say, I took the truck back up to the second floor, where I went to retrieve my vehicle. The guy who got my car didn't even stop in front of me, he made me walk like 20 feet to get to my car. Then he handed me a ticket and said I had to scan it on the way out and the bar would raise so I could exit the garage. Once I got to the scanner, I used the scanner ticket and and the machine said that it could not recognize my ticket number. So I had to back out the length of an entire half garage in order to get out of my vehicle and ask the guy to manually raise the bar so I could leave the garage, which he kind of did very grudgingly, and in a not nice way. I should have just ordered an Uber, considering I only live three minutes away, but it was raining and I didn't know ahead of time properly. Anyway, overall the only plus is the actual massage itself, but the entire other experience was miserable, expensive, and most certainly not worth it. the hotel is not for me and I won't be back. read more

We all enjoyed the service we had and wouldn't hesitate to come back again. While pretending to be a high end spa within a fancy hotel... the place is dark and not customer friendly. While being in the area for a short vacation I wanted to use some free time to get a pedicure. This place had decent reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I was ready that they are overpriced since they are in a somewhat expensive apartment/hotel place right next to the beach. So while you approach it, you know you'll have to pay more. I was okay with it and checked the pricing online in advance. I expected the reception of the hotel to be able to answer my questions and potentially do the booking but they sent me to the 9th floor where the spa is. I took an elevator there but only discovered a gym. After wondering around and walking through a couple gym rooms I finally was able to locate an entrance to the interior room where the spa front desk was located. The room was dark and not inviting but maybe they are saving some money on electricity in this high inflation times. I asked the lady at the front about the pedicure availability. She said they had times available for tomorrow but not today. "That's fine , - I thought, - let's do tomorrow". After I expressed my interest in reserving an available spot for tomorrow the receptionist said that I ought to book a manicure or some other service together with a pedicure because the technician would not come for only pedicure. This was exceptionally mind-blowing and for the first time I ever encountered this kind of overselling. Not only their services are priced on a high end, you have to get two of the services to even get an appointment?! This is ridiculous and gets a 1-star rating for being greedy and not delivering to the customer needs. If you are unable to provide one service that any other spa place would, write it in your price list, so people are aware up front. Or not offer it at all if you can't maintain a person on a site that cannot service their customers. Or put the price even higher. Person at front desk was super nice since we spoke on the phone and she was nicer when we got there. My masseuse was AMAZING! Her name is Christina. Don't look any further! I did extensive research to find the perfect spa for my mother and I for a needed vacation after my father's death. I called at least 10 spas before getting Nicole on the phone. From that phone call forward everything was perfect. The spa is beautiful, the staff is amazing, we had facials and 80 minute massages both of which were perfect. Special attention taken in the target areas. It absolutely made our entire trip. Gorgeous spa with a super friendly and helpful staff. I was greeted and welcomed immediately and was made to feel pampered from the moment that I arrived. My facial was amazing and reasonably price. Olena was simply amazing. Very knowledgeable, very friendly and provided a great service. I picked up a few products to take home too. The spa services include robes, sauna and relaxation room and afterwards the women's locker room includes anything that you could need to get you ready for the day. I booked a eména massage & the detox facial & added a microdermabrasion. My first service was the massage, which left a lot to be desired. Never managed to get any real pressure and the therapist used a lot of elbows and continuously paused to get oils/lotion etc. However, my next service, the facial, I was met by the therapist, Evette. Little did I know what was in store! Evette was kind & the room warm & inviting. She explained her process & all the products smelled so delicious & my face was enjoying every second! She went above & beyond to making me feel pampered. The microdermabrasion left me with the softest skin & their signature skincare potions & tinctures were PHENOMENAL!! This spa is luxury gorgeous and stunning. I got the most basic pedicure and way extremely underwhelmed. The colour i chose was transparent when on and extremely under coated. The scrubbing and massage part was lovely but the way my toes were filed completely ruined the shape and size of them. My feet became even more ugly than before! In the end it looked like I had done it myself with a blind fold on. and for the ridiculous price i paid i was very disgusted. The painting job is very streaky and i still can't get over the shape it was filed into. read more

This is by far the most beautiful spa location in all of Hollywood beach!! I booked an appointment for my mother in law to celebrate her birthday and she absolutely loved her spa day. She did a 12 Layers of Bliss Facial by Carmen and an 80 minute Okeanos Massage by Jessica and relaxed after her massage in the private ocean front balcony. It was elegant, clean, accessible and very welcoming. I got an amazing facial with Maria. Normally my skin gets irritated, however, this time it didn't. Not only did Maria have the softest hands I have ever felt but she also asked me before we got started what my concerns were and what type of skin I have. I went to this place for facial, manicure, pedicure, hair and make up. The 2 stars are for the facial, hair and pedicure. Two stars because the services were average but more expensive than other places. DO NOT go to this place for manicure and makeup. The manicure was fine until the gel polish application, it looked like if a child painted my nails. The gel nail polish was all over my nail borders! The manicurist tried to fix it but she didn't know how and when I showed my nails to the lady in the front desk she gave me the excuse that the nail polish quality was poor...WRONG! That was not the problem and, even if it was, why are you charging more for a service if the quality of your products is not good? Either way is wrong. As for the makeup the lady was really nice but she did completely the opposite of what my mom and myself explained her we wanted. In both cases we had way too much eye shadow. At least I have to say that the makeup artist was accommodating and tried to fix our makeup but at the end we both fixed our makeup at home. Bottomline is if I'm paying way more for a service I expect the quality of it to excel; this was not the case. read more
