I am a Houston bride who attests to the hard work and dedication that this company boasts. Previous reviews are related to a different company, essentially, since this group is recently under new management. Please, disregard and move forward with the best decision you'll ever make (and I mean that in every context of the phrase.) The "new" En Vogue was the best choice I made for my wedding. Stephanie (owner) is my coordinator, and she is everything a busy girl needs in her life. Stephanie is like a personal assistant-wedding edition, and she genuinely cares about bringing your vision forward. I cannot stress how important it is to have a coordinator who is ON, all the time. Since I have a crazy schedule and unpredictable work hours/home hours/school hours, it was imperative that I select a full service package. And y'all-En Vogue delivers. She texts me, calls me, tags me, picks up vendor samples for me, proof reads emails for me, communicates with all the top vendors in the city, and goes above and beyond to de-stress a very stressful season in my already-chaotic life. I knew that wedding planning while balancing my full time job and full time school, among life's other surprises, would be a challenge. But she and her team make it feel organized. Essentially, Stephanie's most frequented phrases are "Do you see this for YOUR wedding?" And It's taken care of." Do yourself a favor and don't have a small stroke while planning your wedding. I am very surprised to see all of the positive reviews on Wedding Channel regarding, En Vogue Events, because I had the complete opposite service. To start off, it is not my goal to defame En Vogue Events, I am still a bride and customer service is HUGE to me. When looking for vendors, I want the opinions of an honest bride to help me, before signing a contract with a vendor. So, this is my reason for writing. I cancelled my services with the company over two (2) weeks ago and purposely waited this long before writing a review, to see if Haley Hughes would call to reconcile and admit to not following the contract, the company never called/email to apologize, so I decided to let her brides know what I experienced. If I were a confrontational person, who was rude and derogative, then I can expect a company/individual no longer provided their services, but I am the complete opposite. I just expect to get what I paid for and for a company/individual to do their job. I am still in the process of planning my wedding and when I worked with En Vogue Events, it started off okay, but then I noticed Haley would not respond to emails in a timely manner, I would have to remind her to send over timelines, she did not attend the floral meeting (which was stated on the signed contract), she did not contact me to attend meeting with other vendors (also on the signed contract), unreturned phone calls/emails...etc. When I first met with Haley, I mentioned that customer service is the most important quality of a company. She expanded on how she is great at that, she is anal and so business will get done...etc. Just last this month (May 2011), I had to cancel with her in the middle of my planning, because there is no way I wanted to give someone thousands of dollars and they did not care about my wedding When I realized I could not take it anymore, my fiancée and I schedule a meeting with Haley to discuss how this business relationship is not working and what she was going to do; since she did not follow parts of the contract. She understands that my fiancée and I live 60 miles out of the city, so we had to prepare the night before to meet with her. She wrote me around noon, the day we would meet, to cancel. This was not the first meeting she cancelled. After that, I knew she did not care about our wedding. Our venue in Dallas is beautiful and most of the brides who host their wedding there, is willing to pay a lot of money for vendors. Our contact at the hotel has many years of experience and loves to hear about vendors, so she can recommend to her brides. We also plan on having our wedding figured in magazines and websites, which would have also brought her additional contacts. I have no idea if it was a personal grudge (which I have no idea why it would be, because Haley and I barely spoke, she only showed to one meeting to get to know me.) The hotel recommended a new planner in Dallas and we are so happy. I said I would not go over budget for a planner, but I did, just because her recommendations from the hotel, and from other brides was positive. So if someone is willing to go above and beyond, we are willing to pay. This is a long email and I did not included other instances my fiancée and I had with En Vogue Events, but working with them was the absolute WORST part of planning this entire wedding. So, if you want a planner to care about you and your special day, in my opinion, this is not the company. read more

To the En Vogue Events Team: Ladies, we just wanted to take a moment to let you know how truly appreciative and blessed we were to have you as a part of the Jamie's Hope Inaugural Masquerade for a Cure Gala at River Oaks Country Club last fall. Without En Vogue the event would never have been as elegant nor impressive. You truly made a huge impact and we are honored to have you back again this year. Your attention to detail was impeccable and your professionalism so impressive. The fact that we didn't have to worry about a single thing concerning decor, lighting, floral, etc. was such a weight lifted off our shoulders. We have yet to work with an event team as remarkable and we hope to work with you for years to come! I have several gripes re this place: First, re the planning: If your goal is to have a cookie cutter wedding, then this is where you want to go. Their trade is in cheap, but expensive. Vendors who specialize in all roses or boiled salmon and want to charge you a fortune for both. Second, re the coordination: Haley, my main contact in the wedding planning process, NEVER SHOWED AT MY WEDDING. She got hired at the last minute to do someone else's wedding that same night. She sent instead, her mother -- with whom I had spoken only a handful of times; an intern -- who I had never met before; and another employee -- who had no sense of schedule, no idea who anyone was, and no clue generally. My photographer, videographer and caterer all agree that they were horrible. Here's a for instance: My best friends are giving a toast but the acoustics aren't great in the place and a table in the back is roaring. No one can hear my friends speak. Meanwhile, my wedding planners stand in the corner. Here's another one: It's time to toast the tables. No one bothers to tell the photographer. I'm sorry, exactly what did I hire them to do? That's all I have to say. This is making me feel kind of sick. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hired En Vogue Events for Day of Coordination services and I am sadly disappointed on the outcome of the service that was provided. For starters, I specifically told the hired coordinator to bring my guest book to the church. She did not. Instead, when I inquired about it- she flat out lied to me about her forgetting it. She told me on my wedding day, "I thought that the welcome table had too much on it, so I decided not to bring it." This explanation is NOT okay especially when during rehearsal we spoke about her bringing the guest book to add to the table. I should also add that there was a sign advising guest to sign the guest book on the welcome table. Next, there was a lack of effort in initiating contact with my vendors. I was informed by several vendors that the coordinator had not contacted them prior to the wedding day. Last but not least, my wedding photos are slightly ruined because for some unknown reason the coordinator placed gift table decor on my sweetheart table. I Have absolutely no idea why. We never discussed it. After we concluded our first dance, she then asked me if her adjustments were okay. The pictures of our first dance had already captured the eyesore of adjustment she made. She should have never taken it upon herself to do such a thing on a wedding day. Beware Brides!!!!!!!! read more

Stephanie and her team at En Vogue were incredible and were a pleasure to work with for several months leading up to our big day! Stephanie is an absolute delight and always made us feel important and made sure we were focused on both the big picture and the next steps in the planning process. She was always available to catch up over the phone or meet in person even late at night, was extremely flexible, and worked around our busy schedules (a nice change of pace from the many vendors who could only meet during business hours). En Vogue's online planning tool is very helpful and has a lot of great, interactive functionality (e.g., detailed budget, progress tracker, interactive invite list and seating chart, etc.). The day of organization and help were amazing as well. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and went off without a hitch because of Stephanie and her team. We had many vendors to organize, a large guest count, and a large reception hall (the Corinthian), but Stephanie was able to coordinate everything perfectly, so we didn't have to worry about the details. We would highly recommend Stephanie and En Vogue to anyone (we hired her for the full package, not just day of, and it was worth it!). Thanks so much for everything, Stephanie!! read more

On a glorious Saturday afternoon, May 14, 2011 at Brennan's of Houston a beautiful wedding took place under the expert guidance of Savanna Gray at En Vogue Events. We realized 6 weeks before the wedding that the bride and I needed someone who could coordinate the day of event and bring her vision to fruition. We thought we were organized and ready until we met Savanna - she and her team at En Vogue put their heart and soul into making the bride's day picture perfect. Savanna was a delight to work with; she was organized and detailed. But most importantly, she was prompt in returning calls and emails (and I know there were a lot). I also know that she went above and beyond our expectations. We were extremely happy with En Vogue events and if you value your sanity at all, you should hire them! read more

One of the most important days of my life and i decide to hire these people. Thank goodness im a detail oriented person and researched my vendors and they are awesome. This was a waste of money and was the only thing i regret concerning my wedding. They didn't do anything they promised at the end i was so frustrated, i considered hiring someone else, but had already paid them their money. the day of the wedding they showed up dressed like they were going to the mall. The walk throough with the venue a week prior I game them specific instructions . On the day of the wedding, no one knew anything. They were calling me asking me things ive already discussed, everything i asked them to do wasn't done. I was livid. She sold me a dream on our first meeting and by the end of the experience it was a nightmare... DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish i could get all of my money back!!! read more
