We recently had our wedding at Pelazzio and overall had a beautiful experience! The venue itself is gorgeous, the space looked amazing, and the staff worked hard to make the day run smoothly. The food, setup, décor, and overall atmosphere were wonderful, and our guests had a great time. We truly appreciated everything that went into making our special day memorable. I also want to give an honest review for future couples. While I would absolutely recommend Pelazzio as a venue overall, I personally would not recommend using the DJ or limo services offered through them. Unfortunately, our experience with both was disappointing and did not meet the same level of quality we experienced with the rest of the wedding services. That being said, I still look back on our wedding as beautiful and special, and I'm grateful for all of the wonderful moments we had there. I do recommend updating the decor, it appears dated. For example, it would be great for birthday events, if all of the floral garland adorning the grand ballroom could be removed to allow a personal and modern look. I attended a wedding and reception at this venue. Decorations and the rooms were absolutely beautiful. The chapel was beautifully decorated and the reception hall had plenty of space for dancing. The food was good and bartenders very attentive. Complaints: the chairs were not very sturdy, felt wobbly and too close together for the wedding. We had to move them so we weren't on top of each other. The restrooms in the reception hall were outdated and one of the toilets was not flushing. Otherwise, we had a great experience. read more

If you get married, do it in the Grand ballroom. I had the best time here. Things that brides should consider: 1) It's all inclusive. None of that stupid stress over finding a caterer, plates, table cloths, etc. They will even supply you with a bakery, photographer, and florist. (For the record we went with our own, because the flowers they had were too trendy-like bridezilla trendy.) 2) The caterer is amazing and even went as far as giving me my own special plate, because of my citrus allergy. So while everyone munched away on orange salad, I was munching down on the cutest strawberry salad imaginable. 3) The parking lot is huge and the place is easy to find. You need that for a big wedding. 4) We had various meetings and checkpoints with the manager Eddie and let me tell you, whether he's there or not, the man knows brides. I kept laughing and giggling at some of the questions he had. Lighting colors, custom this, crazy bridezilla detail that. I laughed. My husband laughed. He laughed. I think we were his most chill wedding couple. However, he was prepared for crazy, so bridezillas or detail oriented gals that care about glimmer and what not-they know how to make you happy. I was just happy, because they knew how to make it elegant without asking me too many stupid questions. Weddings are stressful and this place made the visits fun. The day of, our limo driver was early, but everything at the event went smoothly. Their DJ was great and I kept getting compliments left and right from people saying he was the best DJ they ever experienced or how this wedding was the most fun they ever had. Even months after, heck, even a year later, I still have people telling me that. From incorporating my own brought in mariachi, to the photographer making a last minute bridal session prior to the reception, they knew how to handle stress and dramatic people. Everything was seamless and with all the extra flowers, the perks of a photo booth- which I am pretty sure we didn't order, and a staff that made sure we were happy, I say they did great. The venue is beautiful and the entrance is simply enchanting. It has just the dramatic appeal and service you are looking for. There are other rooms you can use at the Pelazzio, but we went all out. Unless, I plan on throwing an anniversary party, we probably won't need their services again. They were the best, until the very end. Definitely recommend. read more

My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at Pelazzio! The rooms were gorgeous and the all-inclusive paradise package included almost everything we needed. Wedding planning was so hard, but I can't imagine how much harder it would've been if we had to find our own photographer, DJ, baker, limo, catering, bar services & even more of the decor/florals. Basically the only vendor we needed to shop around for outside of Pelazzio was a florist for the bridal party bouquets/boutonnières! Our wedding coordinator at Pelazzio was Kristina Shell and she was so great at making our day run smoothly. She took care of anything we needed and answered any questions we had throughout the whole process! Kristina is the best. Lena Sharifat was our Pelazzio photographer for the wedding day and our engagement shoot. She is super sweet & great at what she does. I highly recommend her! Paul Olson was our DJ through Pelazzio, and he was also great. He is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. Paul kept the schedule running correctly and kept the crowd having fun all night. The waitstaff & captain during our wedding were also fantastic! Everybody we encountered from Pelazzio during our wedding was very helpful and kind. Went to a party here and don't get me wrong, the grand ballroom is beautiful. High ceilings, spacious, and the backdrop decor thing was pretty. But they had 3 heating/ac units next to the tables so that was awkward and a bit of an eye sore. The bridal suite is small and you walk past the curtained area of party supplies before getting to it. The restrooms were clean but had a toilet water smell that was unpleasant. Food was okay, nothing WOW, but also not bad. The fish had a kick and the dinner roll was really really good. My biggest complaint was the photo booth provided by the venue. They placed it too close to the backdrop so if you wanted a group picture, you had to squeeze...I mean, squeeze in there. Also, the print had a perforated middle, which was nice...but then the image only prints on one side. So if you want 2 copies, you printed twice and wasted 2 half's. Then, there's no tray to catch the photos. So they're dropping all over the floor. Finally, the printer got backed up and it was taking 15 minutes to just get your print. read more

I had my college graduation party this past weekend, and Pelazzio was amazing to work with. From the venue to the DJ, bar staff, and photographer, everyone was wonderful to work with. The decorations were beautiful and the sound system was great. Pelazzio was also very professional in working with our Caterer, Aga's. I specifically want to shoutout Addy for helping with the event. She responded to my texts and calls everyday and communicated super effectively - she even cut the tag off my dress on the day of the event because it kept sticking out. Great option for a mostly inclusive wedding, but there are some points they could improve on. I've attended three weddings at the Pelazzio (including my own). Each event seemed better than the last. Food: Good for wedding food. I wish they wouldn't limit the serving options to buffet style. Drinks: Open bar, what more can you ask for! Cake: Delicious, you won't be disappointed. Decor: So much better over time. The the Mr. & Mrs. table is gorgeous The lighting was perfect, and we loved the table linens at each of the weddings. Photo booth: Huge hit and worth every penny! Limo: added bonus DJ: A few weeks before the wedding you fill out a form detailing the order of events, music for specific moments in the wedding, and giving the DJ insight into the type of music you want to listen to. You can let them know specific songs you want to hear during the reception and the genre of music you want played. 1st wedding, DJ did all latin music and everyone had a great time! 2nd wedding (my wedding), DJ needed a lot of feedback on music selection. He actually RUINED the father-daughter dance. A few of the songs during the ceremony were sang by my nieces along side the instrumentals. The DJ must've been confused and played the father-daughter instrumental instead of the actual song (as previously instructed on the form). So we had the instrumental playing with no lyrics. This was extremely disappointing. Brides, I know you get how important this moment is. 3rd wedding, DJ needed a lot of instruction on which songs to play during the reception, but not bad. Videographer: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I can't even bare to watch my own wedding video.They provide a highlight reel and the wedding reel. My video is filled with loud music playing over the speeches (not music from the event, but music they included during the video editing), lots of moments missed, horrible angles (objects blocking me and the groom at the alter), the list goes on. Photographer: My wedding, the photographer did a pretty good job. The last wedding I attended, the photographer did an excellent job and left nothing to be desired. She was kind, personable, and offered great ides on poses for the wedding party photos. The edited photos were spectacular! Banquet coordinator will likely be running multiple events so make sure you have a day of wedding coordinator (if you can't hire one, enlist a friend that owes you a favor!), it will make a huge difference and reduce the stress of the day. Overall: This is a great value since it's mostly inclusive. We only had to handle the officiant and flowers. If I were getting married this year, instead of 3 years ago, I would still choose this venue, but I'd make sure to give the DJ a long list of songs to play (and even advise songs not to play) and not waste my money on the videographer. read more

I wanted to highlight my interaction with the employee by the name of Nicole. She was very attentive to our last minute questions/assistance for my friend's wedding!! She wasn't assigned to work with the bride to be but was very pleasant in our interactions and helped clarify and assist us with tasks we were not confident in. She truly went above and beyond with attention to detail to this wedding assistance. Even while others were a bit negative in their interactions with her, she remained professional and calm while multitasking requests from them and assisting our party. We originally had questions that we thought would be answered in a matter of 10 minutes but ended up being with her for an hour. We appreciated her time, presence, and thoroughness throughout the time we might have taken away from her and didn't feel rushed while talking with her. She definitely helped alleviate stress for the bride and I wanted to recognize her and extend a big thank you for her assistance! I had my wedding here on June 22th, 2018 and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I'm not really a huge party person. My friends, husband and I are all nerdy but we absolutely had a wonderful time at our wedding. It was everything that I had hoped for and went beyond my expectations. I'm a full-time college student, so I didn't have that much time to be able to plan my wedding out but Pelazzio took care of almost everything. It was extremely stress free and so organized! A lot of the reason that the night went so perfect was because of Luis, our banquet manager. He speaks Spanish and was really accommodating to my parents, who struggle with their English at times. He answered all our questions with ease and certainty. Along with that, he was there the whole wedding to make sure that everything went smoothly. Any concerns that I ever had, he had already taken care of them. He was on top of the whole planning and schedule of the wedding and nothing ran late. Everything was on time. He was AWESOME! He went above and beyond for us! From the very beginning, I felt right at home. When I went to check out the venue, they sat down with me and explained all the packages that were available. They went really into detail about them and then they showed me the rooms that they had. I fell in love with the Grand Ballroom. I decided to go with the Paradise package, which honestly is the biggest bang for your buck. They literally include EVERYTHING and then some with that package. The only thing I had to worry about was the suits for the groom/groomsmen, the dresses for the bride's maids and my own dress and bouquet. The photographer that came with the package was awesome! She was nice and funny! She took the time to come to my house to take photos of me "getting ready" before the wedding and to take photos with my dog. It was such a nice touch that I loved. At the wedding, she was taking photos the whole time and was great. She could tell that my husband and I were getting frustrated with everyone trying to take photos and she played the role of the bad guy and told people that she was only taking photos of the wedding party (Groom, bride, bridesmaids and groomsmen, etc), which I really appreciated!! I'm still waiting for my photos but I'm sure they'll be great when I get them. The cake we got was great as well! We had to go to a cake tasting from a private bakery that is right near Ikea. It was such a cute place and they provided you with 16 samples of the cake flavors you can get. You could also mix and match the several types of flavors. My husband and I went with two layers being vanilla and two layers being a lemon cake. The cake I got was pretty simple other than that and I showed the baker a photo of what I wanted and she did a great job! The only thing I really had to do was provide the flowers for the cake and my personal cake topper. I provided a photo of my cake above if you're interested. The food choices were all great! I had such a hard time deciding what I wanted to go with but I kind of wanted to add a tex-mex feel to the wedding, so I went with Fajitas. The food was really really good. Everyone at the wedding kept telling me how delicious the food was. Along with that, I really loved how accommodating Luis was. I told Luis that I had a couple friends that were Vegan and he included vegan plates free of charge for me. I'm telling you, Luis made that whole night really stress free. If you can get him to be your banquet manager, you are set! Along with that, there is a room upstairs that allowed the bride or groom to get ready there. I personally got ready at home but it's perfect for people who have children that need to take a nap or something. My husband used it to play games before the wedding started. Honestly, Pelazzio is where you want to have your wedding at. The only complaint that I have is that the DJ messed up the song I wanted to play when I walked down the aisle, which honestly wasn't that big of a deal looking back. Everyone I invited kept telling me how beautiful the venue was and how much fun they had. For how much we paid, I feel like we got so much. We had food provided, an open bar, a beautiful venue with gorgeous lighting, DJ, photographer, catering, decorations and flowers for a cheap price. I had so much fun at my wedding and everyone else that attended did as well. Honestly, that is all that matters. If you can choose to have a stress free/beautiful/affordable wedding, why not choose Pelazzio? I promise you, from one bride to another, you will not be disappointed! I'm glad to see that some people are enjoying this venue for their parties. Today I had an unfortunate experience with them. One week ago a friend and I went in asking about a Quinceanera for my daughter. We spoke with an employee named Erica Mejia. Monday morning I sent an email indicating we would like to reserve the space. It was only a party for their minimum number of guests, so we would be using a portion of their main ballroom. I heard nothing back by Tuesday morning. I called Erica's direct line and left a message that I wanted to put down my deposit for the room. I heard nothing back. I sent another email. No response. I called on Wednesday and was lucky enough to get her on the telephone. I said the quote expires on Saturday and I would like to get my deposit in and sign the contract. Not a problem, it was just the quote, if I would send her my driver's license, she would send a contract. I did so the next morning. She called that afternoon. I assumed she was ready to send the contract and take my credit card over the phone. In reality, she told me that they sold the space to someone else because I hadn't signed a contract and paid in full for the space. She offered me a Sunday night and the night before Mother's Day as alternative dates. For a party for sixteen year old kids on a school night? The night before a major holiday? At that point, I asked to speak to her manager and was told that person was unavailable. In my opinion, my calls and emails were intentionally not returned because Pelazzio was waiting for someone to book the entire ballroom, using all of their amenities so they could make the most profit. Why didn't they just tell me when I toured the facility that they don't work with small parties? Because in case the entire room wasn't booked for that evening, a little money is better than none? For those that choose to use Pelazzio on Westheimer in the future, I would recommend that you be very cautious in conducting business with them if you aren't renting the entire facility. read more

Great facility... has been here for years under various mgmt companies. They have renovated the rooms and they look great. The only thing is that the two smaller rooms have a fabricated wall and the music at the party next door severely overpowered the event I attended. It was horrible. Absolute class. My bride and I booked the Grand Ballroom for our wedding reception this past weekend, and it was everything that we had hoped for. Depending on what you are looking for, they can just provide a venue or full-service event planning. Just note that they will charge you extra to go with your own caterer, but don't waste your time or money-- their in-house caterer has great food and they will let you do a tasting upon request. We went with the Extravaganza Package, which included photography, 4 hours of open bar, DJ service, food, and some primo decorations. Beatriz, the office staffer, and Eddie, our event manager, was solid, helping us make adjustments to customize our event and keep things exactly how we would like them. We didn't have to locate a single vendor-- they provided the catering staff, a connection to a DJ, a connection to the photographer, and more. We ended up setting up a separate deal to have their photographer (Angel) and videographer come out and capture our ceremony as well. It was a great move, because they are very professional and they do a great job with making sure that they get the best shots. Meeting with Eddie to go over our banquet and our food tasting was a joy. The guy is great to work with and makes sure that it's clear that you know exactly what you're getting and what they can do to accommodate you. He mocked a table set up for us so my bride could see how the room would look, and even personally served us during the food tasting. The cake tasting was exceptional as well. We went out to their bakery (independent company) and got to sample 16 different flavors, many of which ended up being good, but they were very accommodating in making sure that we had more than enough cake and each tier was a different flavor for people to enjoy. They even included our requested additional decorations. They really do have their stuff together-- they set up a payment plan for us so we could put 20% down and make payments over the subsequent 12 months, with the last two payments being the larger catering payments for food. They let you adjust numbers right up until about 3 weeks before the event, so we definitely took advantage of that. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make sure that our guests were well taken care of. As bride and groom, we were served at our table, including a staffer running to the bar to get us drinks when needed. The DJ and caterers in particular got rave reviews, and guests wanted to know how they could book them for their own events. We're still seeing positive comments about the DJ and venue popping up on our Facebook. There were very few cons in the whole set up. The limo driver arrived 25 minutes early to pick us up and was badgering us to come out while we were still getting ready. The staff forgot to bring out the sauce for one of the entrees, but that got resolved quickly. The photo booth kept breaking down, but we didn't pay for it anyway. One of the staffers tried to get us to fill out a survey while the event was winding down. It was all minor stuff, but they went so far above and beyond in other areas that this was still a five star experience. I swear they threw in things that we didn't pay for, or maybe that Eddie had mentioned that was included in our package and I just forgot about. We definitely didn't ask for or expect a photo booth. We also never asked for them to display our names in a custom graphic displayed on the wall. There were additional flowers we didn't order on display in a lofted area as well, but they may have been fake flowers that they keep in reserve. Altogether, this was a night that I'll never forget, and the Pelazzio Staff made sure that it was exactly the kind of thing that we wanted. I doubt I'll have another need for an event like that, but if I ever do, I will definitely be calling them first. read more

I don't see how this place could receive 5 or 4 stars. Sure, it looks all snazzy from the outside and even has signs outside each suite to let you know where your party is, but I wasn't impressed. First of all, I asked one of the attendants where the bathroom is...she hesitated to say yes, but I soon found out that she either misunderstood my question or didn't care because I ended up in the coat area. A quick point to the other side of the room would have led me to the woman's facility. That's a simple customer service request. Minus one star. Secondly, the suites need more insulation because you can hear the other suites music crystal clear. Unacceptable cost cut when you're a banquet hall. Minus two stars because it made it hard to hear the program our family was putting on for my Gran Aunt's 80th birthday. The waiters were okay and came around to fill glasses once in awhile, but they weren't stellar. Decent, but not stellar. I would have placed the food in that same catergory, but I had the unfortunate luck of becoming ill from the meal and or the cake. Excutiating stomache pains and bathrooms visits were my partying gifts for my visit to this facility. If that's wasn't a clear sign for me that this place is not worth the money, my stomach definelty made it painfully clear that I wouldn't utilize this facility. The all inclusive option would be great if this place invested on better insulation, better customer service, and food that doesn't land you in the bathroom the rest of the night. read more

Was lucky enough to be invited to a wedding that took place at this venue. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being part of a larger shopping center, and because parking was a little tight even in such a large lot. But we walked in on some plush red carpet and felt like we were in the right place after going through the foyer. It absolutely looks grand and was rightfully set for our friend's wedding. Once inside, seating was a bit of a challenge. I wonder if more people showed up than expected, because there was a large group standing in the back. I couldn't sit next to my partner, and seats were cramped, but it did the trick. The venue has some great options for entrances. The staff was stellar in organizing and running the party. The bartender was hard at work and poured some extremely strong drinks, to the point where we had to ask her to tone it down on most of our drinks. The food is excellent and the speed at which they opened up the dance floor was impressive. Seems very well organized and perfect for those looking for a planned out wedding. read more

I went to a beautiful wedding here. It is a one stop shop kind of place. The ceremony place was nice ane open with holding spaces for bridal and groom party. Then it was a short walk to the reception room that also beautiful. The restrooms were clean. The staff was nice. The food was good. The only problem I had is that the staff would not allow the couple to take home the leftover food from the wedding. I think if you paid for it then you should take it. read more
