I was really excited to try this salon out after seeing the good reviews but was disappointed with what I was walking out the door with. I went here to get a full set of acrylics with a design and ombré. I knew I picked a more fine-lined design but I was disappointed that no lines were cleaned up and that the quality in the execution of that pattern varied from nail to nail. I also have a fair amount of texture on top of my nails now as well, so I am not happy they are not at least smooth to the touch. However the shape and application of the acrylic along with the ombré was very good so that is what is keeping my review from being a 1 star. I was also very disappointed in myself for how much I payed/tipped for them as well. I scheduled for a total of ~$60 worth of services, but I ended up paying ~$87 ($102 after tip) for them. I do understand that more complex designs require more time therefore more money but then I would also expect them to be worth that time and money as well. Really disappointed in myself for accepting the service I received today. First time at this salon and I booked a gel manicure and pedicure. From the moment I walked in I felt like they were rushing me through. They asked if they could do both services together. I reluctantly agreed. This resulted in one lady placing a large appointment book on my lap, for the blue light to sit on and telling me to turn off the massage chair. While the pedicure lady telling me to feet my feet flat. All both services included was a nail and cuticle clipping. The most basic of basic. When it was all said and done, I paid 82.00 for basically a toe and nail polish change! And not a great polish job at that. read more

I waited to write my review because I had a bad experience at another salon where all my dip polish lifted from the cuticle after 2 weeks. So I wanted to make sure I could confirm after 3 weeks at enchanted nails not a SINGLE nail lifted . Last time they pushed me into dip nails, I was in a mood to be creative so I bit...came back today and was asked over and over why I wanted to go back to acrylic, finally asked him to accept my decision after I explained why. He showed me my color I picked and I said I wanted silver, it was pink, once we were ready for color I told him the it was wrong still, the told me it was numbered wrong, so he tried a few more I finally gave up as he was getting fustrated, now I hate my color!! I showed them the sample nail and Another woman said oh that's a powder..how am I to know that from a plastic nail...when I tell you the brand and number from the sample, its your job to know these things not me. They are wonderful! The owners changed from many years ago and they made such great changes. You can schedule online which I love and Johnny give's awesome massages with the pedicures. They also offer spa quality pedicures like one called the Fire walker and it comes with wax for hands and feet and massages for your lower arms and hands. Super relaxing! read more

Very beautiful and relaxing shop. I am a new mom and sometimes I have to bring my baby with, they were very accommodating and one of the nail techs held my baby while I got my nails done. I have been coming here off and on since they opened, at first it was really nice and they did a GREAT job but this place has gone down hill fast. I went in last week for pedicure and nails to be filled, I always get the same color hands and feet, I had a hour long pedicure by Tom and that was great I asked for color # 612 reg. polish and that's what he did and I loved the color , but when it came to my nails, I wanted the same color in gel, I asked the girl to file them thinner but she made them thicker and the color did not match my toe color, the cost of this was $107.00 plus a $5.00 tip each. When I said something to her she said nothing she could do that was the color. I will not be going back. The cost is high and the work is shit, if you like to over pay and have crappy work this would be the place. RUN RUN FAST NOT A GOOD PLACE read more

I was a regular customer for both gel nails and pedicures for 2 years. Over the last few months my services have become worse and worse. The salon is filthy, always covered in nail dust, everywhere. Oftentimes one of the employees are sleeping in one of the pedicure massage chairs. They stopped massaging lotion into my hands months ago. They no longer put solar oil on my nails after my polish, which is standard practice in any salon I've been to. The last 3 times I was there, they used the electric grinder on my toes and nails and hurt me by looking elsewhere while grinding on my nail. I will never return here again. I have found a new salon that is less expensive, clean, conscientious, gentle and thorough. read more

As a walk-in at 9am on a Friday, I was pleasantly surprised to get my mani-pedi taken care of immediately. My nails looked beautiful. My only disappointment was that the french manicure didn't last longer - through no fault of the spa, I just wish I could have shown it off longer! This place had me sold with the name alone, "Enchanted". Seriously, name another local business that uses this word? Marketing brilliance. Magical. First, the parking situation is great--close parking right outside the door. Now, onto the digs: clean, bright, and new equipment. There's nothing worse than walking into get your nails done--sitting down in the massage chair and feeling like the chair hasn't been cleaned since 2005. Enchanted Nails doesn't have anything like this: the chairs are new. They are clean, and they will even make a space for your latte if you choose to bring one in. The team that works here is very welcoming. The first pedicure I had here was their standard $27 deal. It delivered what you want: about 35-40 minutes of soak, clean up, lotion and paint. The second pedicure was their deluxe pedicure for $40. This is about an hour long and includes all of the above, and added hot towel treatment and hot stone treatment on your calves, ankles and feet. I don't normally go "all in" for these types of things, but it was rough week. Treat yourself. If you live in Mendota Heights, St. Paul, IGH, I recommend this place. It's delightful. read more

Classless and tasteless, if not racist. I came here to relax after a long day of work. I'm a first generation American of Asian descent. While I'm Americanized in many ways, I can speak Vietnamese. As soon as I sat down, the salon workers (who were also Asian) immediately started talking about me in Vietnamese as if I wasn't there, presumably thinking I couldn't understand them. They said all sorts of mean things about me, including about my appearance. They also discussed at length whether I was Korean or Japanese (on whom some Vietnamese people tend to look down). I received no apology or discount after I told them I understood everything. The whole experience was uncomfortable and unprofessional, and downright un-fun. And besides all that, they didn't even do a good job as I spent $70 there. Don't go here. read more

I was able to get an appointment for 4 pedicures on a Friday with just over an hours notice (12:15 appointments). This shop is clean, attractive and quiet. It was quite relaxing. Our toes look great and everyone was pleased. I took in 3 teens, only one of which had ever had a professional pedicure. We had one pair of particularly rough feet - no problem! The ladies working were pleasant and friendly. The girls were thrilled - massage chairs, choice of lotion, good selection of polish and a staff that treated them like adults. We chose this shop as it was pretty much between our house and destination Mall of America. Having previously checked the yelp reviews on MOA nail salons I knew we were not going there. Blindfold me and put me inside any Nail Salon and I couldn't tell you which one it is. It's the same for Enchanted Nails: 8 pedicure stations with massaging chairs, 8 nail stations, neutral interior colors with standard stock posters framed on the wall, and same prices for services as competing salons. I called ahead and it was no problem getting in. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the salon was clean. Still, nothing compels me to return. If I'm in the area, I might drop in. I like to see nail salons differentiates themselves in some way. In Texas, my favorite nail salon provides free margaritas or wine during any service. I can't imagine how popular one would become here if it adopted that practice. $38 for a basic mani-pedi and they prefer cash for the tip. read more

I will NEVER go back. While receiving a manicure, she cut WAY TOO MUCH nail off of the side, which led to an infection, and later an ingrown nail. I knew before even leaving the salon that something was wrong. The area was bright red and tender. I have seen two different doctors, been put on a heavy round of antibiotics (4x/day for 7days), and now have to see a dermatologist to have the area examined. I cannot tell enough people to avoid this place. I'm so angry. My nail and finger throb all the time because of this. The pain is excruciating. Pictures attached. read more

Not bad. I was looking rough and needed to run a few errands in this part of town, so I called to see if they take walk-ins, she made me appointment instead. So I get there and there are 3 other people in there - 2 drying and 1 just finishing up. Now, it's cold outside so I'm only a little skeptical. The person doing my nails was friendly enough and I was in and out in an hour. My nails looked fine for the price I paid. The manager told me they had a 7 day guarantee on gel for first time customers and I did end up chipping one before the 7 says was up, but didn't go back in. The salon itself is clean, people friendly enough and I actually like the way they display the gel polish so you can really see it - it's on a little stick, so you don't have to remember the number, you just bring it over to the tech. I will consider getting a pedicure at this place in the future. read more
