I had an emergency situation when an outlet in my living room smelled like it was burning and was warm to the touch after using the microwave in the kitchen. They came out to Los Alamos, on short notice and after hours for what turned out to be a serious electrical issue. The electrician was extremely professional, knowledgeable and respectful. He quickly identified the problem and showed me melted plastic and damaged wiring that could have easily started a fire. It was honestly a close call, and I'm very grateful for how promptly and professionally everything was handled. The repair was completed efficiently, the communication was great, and I felt much safer afterward. We needed our Rivian wall charger installed in advance of getting our Rivian R1S. We checked Yelp reviews and selected CD "Brooklyn" to install it. While we had the Charger Manual, it was not as clear as it should be. CD went the extra mile to connect with Rivian Support working to insure that it was correctly working. Reviewing our electrical panel, he identified two circuits to our second garage which were not up to code. He pointed out that, heaven forbid, a fire resulted from these circuit breakers malfunctioning, insurance coverage may be at risk. At our request, he upgraded the circuits. While his schedule is full, he made time for us to ensure that our wall charger is properly mounted and functional so that it is ready for our new EV. With another EV on our future's horizon, we will contact CD to install a second charger along with upgrading our electrical panel to handle the load. This was part of his educational process for our future needs as we identified them. Not many Rivian wall chargers have yet to be installed in New Mexico. If you go the Rivian route, CD can totally handle your installation whatever type of wall charger you select. read more

I highly recommend you avoid this contractor. He charges $350 an hour and requires you to sign a harsh contract that does not allow for cancellation without penalty. I gave him over 24 hours notice that I no longer needed his services but he was quite a bully on the phone and demanded I pay a deposit of $350. There are plenty of great electricians in Santa Fe who charge a fraction of what this guy does and are a pleasure to work with. Note his aggressive comments responding to other reviews below and the language he uses on his invoice to get a sense of his business practices. Failure to do so will result in 24% APR interest applied along with any and all collection costs, attorney's fees/costs and the professional hourly rate applied to the time spent on this collection effort. read more

No question that the owner of Enchanted Electric, CD, is professional and highly skilled. He was one of the few electricians we contacted who was available. When CD was running late, he gave us the courtesy of calling ahead of time. And he cleaned up after completing the job. What we were unprepared for was the exorbitant cost. Sticker shock! I hope that CD equally divided the payment among the two tradesmen who assisted him (one had to drive a long distance twice.) Although CD was kind enough to remove $300 tax from our bill, we learned a valuable lesson. We won't be signing any future contracts for small jobs. Wow! Brooklyn was hired to come all the way up to Taos to take care of a major wiring issue that needed to be redone so our modular unit could pass electrical inspection. It was a very challenging and unusual job, requiring crawling into a crawlspace, and some thinking outside the box. He'll ask you to sign a contract immediately which essentially protects him by saying he can charge you $300/hr and which he will take full advantage of by charging you for every time he even thinks about the work you need done. Comes across friendly and trustworthy but he's dishonest and charges more than clinical cancer doctors. Note there is no personal information available for him (business owner name, physical address, even parts of the website are fake). He would have many more bad reviews but he bribes people to leave him a good review for a small discount that's still WAY too much and which you are legally bound to paying. Steer clear! read more
