This last visit did it for me. My gel XL looks like this and it cost me $75 before tip . These are my nails after 8 days . The products are stale and old. Sadly, the nail salon I have been going to for many years (M5) suddenly closed and I'm being lazy by not going to their Foggy Bottom location. Not great. Pedicurist did an average job on my pedicure but did not touch my feet once during what was supposed to be a massage. Removing my current dip manicure required me soaking my fingers in a bowl of acetone and breathing the fumes for 30 minutes. I left without getting my nails done since better service can be found elsewhere. I asked for the manger whose response was just that is how they did things there. Will not return. Adding that the business responded saying after I posted my review saying that it was my preference to sit with a bowl of acetone vs. covering each nail and that is not true. This business would rather blame me than be open to customer feedback. read more

I've been here a few times and each time got a different nail tech and pleased to say I've been happy with all of them! I've gotten dip, gel, and regular manicures here and I feel that each person gives it careful attention. On the last visit I got a beautiful chrome design and it lasted 3 weeks with just slight chipping. The vibe in here is very relaxing. Usually there's calming melodic music playing, and I almost want to take a nap. I try to go on slightly off hours like a little after lunch if I have a break in the day or right before everyone gets off work. That way, it's been easy to do walk ins. They also seem to have a lot of staff which is great. I also find it's easy to book an appointment online and they send text or email reminders. I wish they would always remember to offer drinks. Usually they do and have champagne, mimosas, and tea, but there has probably been two times I haven't been offered and have to ask. Side note - The ATM outside is kind of janky and hard to press the buttons. Everyone I interacted with has been nice. I've been coming to enchanted for years and this was the worst experience I've ever had. We did the spa pedicure which is listed to be $40 plus dazzle dry which we were told was an extra $5. When we went to check out we were charged $40 for a spa pedicure and an additional $47 for the "regular" pedicure with dazzle dry for a total of $87 each. We did not even get the hot stone massage included in the spa pedicure and the staff was incredibly rude about the whole thing. Left with the worst taste in my mouth and a pedicure that was NOT worth $100 per person. read more

I've been coming here on and off for almost 7 years. The last two years it's been my go-to nail salon. They always provide great service and are welcoming. Even in COVID times they didn't waiver. I see Jason who is amazing. He is a great nail artist but also provides great customer service! He truly cares about his clients. I trust his artistry and often will let him pick my design if I'm unsure. I've gone to Bryan before too and he is also great, as well as I've heard great things about Yuri. Really, you can't go wrong. They always offer water as soon as you arrive. They do get busy and can often run behind because appointments don't arrive on time but they will still honor your appointment. I don't mind because they are good and consistent and on busy days I understand stuff happens. I always get dip done, which i find is a hit or miss in most places, but not here. Whenever I can't make it here and go somewhere else, I'm generally disappointed and Jason can immediately tell when I've gone somewhere else lol. This is a solid nail salon that provides great customer service. FYI they don't do acrylics anymore (the dust from the acrylics isn't good for the nail techs health). read more

Small but nice looking nail salon. Nice message chairs, relaxing environment. I was looking for a new nail salon and decided to stop in for gel x set and two pedicures. Service was not good at all. My technician was rough, and seem to be quite inexperienced. I had to request cuticle softener before cuticle grooming. She overly filed my natural nails, my pedicure was very rushed and feet did not feel smooth or look professional afterwards. Overall my nails and toes looked horrible.I had to coach my tech on how to shape the nails and was totally unsatisfied. There are some other salons I will give a try, but was hoping to love this place. My friends pedicure was not the best, but the technician was kind and accommodating to her I would not recommend. read more

Jenny took care of me today and was wonderful. My nails are super cute and exactly what I asked for. I come here every three weeks or so and it's always a pleasure. No acrylic dust/smell in the air makes for a nicer experience. Hannah usually does my nails and is really talented as well. I wish I knew the name of the woman who did my mom's nails today. I went here for a mani pedi (regular, not gel) yesterday. The pedicure was good and the foot massage/exfoliation felt great. However the manicure (I got French tips) was uneven, the lines were not clean, and the nail tech didn't file my nails in the shape I requested. The shapes were also different, so each finger was shaped differently. I had to ask the nail tech to fix nearly each one. They only put one light layer of top coat and I had asked for more, but no one helped me. I went to work the next day and my nails already chipped. I will not be going back here! read more

I was in the city for a conference and needed a manicure and pedicure. Having had good experiences years back, l looked forward to the appointment. l added on extra treatments to a plain pedicure. My manicurist was nice but she had an earbud in throughout the services and her phone on Tik Tok during the entire pedicure. It was placed where she could see it while performing the pedicure. She checked the polish, assured me it was dry and put a plastic bag over the toes to protect them from my shoes. When l took my shoes off later that day the pedicure was ruined. I was going to a party that evening and could not return to the salon for it to be fixed. As l don't live in DC, l was not able to return at a later time. I explained this to the manager. He refused to credit me for the $44. pedicure. I did not ask or expect credit for the additional services. The owner called me the following day to say that no credit would be given. As l couldn't come in to have it fixed, l had to remove the polish and wear different shoes than planned to the party. Enchanted is no longer enchanting. read more

I hadn't had a pedicure in months and months. I have been to Enchanted off and on over the years, never too impressed but always satisfied. Tonight I was impressed. My legs and feet are so happy - amazing leg massage twice - once during the salt scrub and another with lotion and oil. They were busy so I actually got an extra long massage from the owner/manager. I was so relaxed. And the Covid scene is super safe. All masked. Spaced out. Very nice. Will definitely be back! Congrats on the 10 years! read more

I also liked that I could check myself in and their wall of polishes is definitely amazing. More pricey than competitors but I didn't mind paying extra on top of a higher base price for an extra 10-min foot massage! Sitting here waiting at 1:02 for a 12:35 appointment, assured repeated it'll just be a few more minutes and then they try to have the wrong technician start the service in the hopes I wouldn't notice... still waiting! We'll see how the service goes. Update: service was fine but they didn't start till 1:10 or acknowledge how late they were. Will not be returning. You'll notice I had a rave review 9 years ago and I don't know when they became this careless to loyal customers. I kept coming even after it became like this and it pains me to update to one star. This has been my go-to nail salon ever since I moved to DC four years ago. The staff is friendly, professional, and I've had tons of great manis/pedis regardless of who I see! I've also had my eyebrows done here several times and have always been pleased with the results. For being right in the middle of DC the services here are reasonably priced. Although this has changed due to COVID-19, this salon used to also provide free tea, water, wine, or champagne, which was a nice touch! I've been here once or twice since COVID-19, and this salon is taking every precaution it possibly can. It is appointment-only, impeccably cleaned, and partitions are always placed between the technician and the customer for both manis and pedis. Masks are required, temperatures are taken, and everyone is required to fill out health screening forms. I highly recommend Enchanted to anyone in the DC area! read more

I cannot speak highly enough about this salon. I am incredibly picky about my nails, I've been doing my own dip powder for years because I hadn't found a salon in DC up to par. When a coworker recommended Enchanted, I made an appointment the same day and was so pleased with my experience. Jason is a fantastic tech and my nails last up to a month when I go to him. One thing I adore about this salon is they have a two week guarantee that if dip powder or gel chips, they will fix it for free. I am happy to say I have never needed to go back for a fix! I loved going to Enchanted for gel manicure. It's definitely what they do best. But many times my polish would chip easily and I just hate going back because it's embarrassing to do it all the time. I've recently liked SNS more and when I get it done here, still mine would chip after a while. Today is day 15 since I've gotten my SNS manicure and the polish so easily falls off. I've had SNS done at other places and it didn't come off so easily as it usually does here. I don't want to keep coming back to get them fixed so I will look for a place that gets SNS done well. I like Enchanted for its proximity to my work, being open late, serving beverages, having the cute doggies etc. Overall it's a good place. But my polish always chips from here and that's a huge drawback despite all their goodies! It's inconvenient and embarrassing to keep coming back. read more

I don't know if I would come back as a first time customer. I went Sunday for a pedicure appointment for 1:30 and had to wait 30 minutes to be serviced without any communication beforehand. By then my feet were cold and I was irritated. Someone eventually came a little after, but she did not have great customer service skills and she clipped my cuticle too much on one toe that is still sore today. Had a mani pedi. Was very happy with the results. Lasted for a few weeks with no chipping on a non gel polish.

I really had high hopes for this place, but I had a very disappointing experience with my tech. I got a gel pedicure and dip manicure. While cutting back my cuticles, she cut my skin on one of my toes (to the point where it bled openly) and several of my fingers. I left recently and they are still painful and burning. It was my first time getting the dip powder and she did not tell me that the dip version of a color is much darker than the regular or gel. So my toenails are light pink while my fingernails are dark pink. This is frustrating and defeats the purpose of getting the same color on hands and feet. My tech did not seem particularly experienced and did not even me out on both sides at various points (e.g., with the pedicure massage). I don't think this experience is necessarily reflective of the work of the other techs. It's just a shame that this was my experience during my first time there. Not sure if I'll be back. read more

Well shaped nails is very important to me and I paid $67 for this set. That is a lot of money for no attention to shape. Two of then nails also stick straight up. I've gone to enchanted nails for years. It's a hidden gem that NEVER disappoints. Today I saw Izzy and let me tell you...she had me walking out really feeling myself For YEARS, I've gotten the standard square nail. Nothing fancy, same old same old...nothing wrong with it, but comfortable (I won't say my age, but trust me when I say it's been decades since a change). Today, I told Izzy I wanted to try something new. I had a lot of reservations...felt a little uneasy...but she put me at ease! She helped me pick my colors to compliment the season and told me to just "trust the process". Like magic, she transformed my hands into a whole new woman (see pic). I am soooooo glad I took the plunge and let her work her magic. If you're ever in the area, it's a must. I typically see Tyson and he is just as magical. Really, you can't go wrong. I came in on a Saturday with an appointment. It was very empty (holiday weekend) and I was seen straight away after selecting my polish. I was offered a drink and accepted tea (there was no coffee as some reviews suggest). The overall manicure process was fine though there were points where I felt like my tech was rushing some. The painting around my cuticles looks similar to at-home gel job and the free edge of my nail didn't seem appropriately capped. I will say I had a very translucent color and my tech did a good job making sure it was opaque. I went with a friend who overall had a similar experience. Her manicure began to chip in 6 days and mine only started lifting on day 8. (At that point I really thought it was going to last two weeks!). Note they do give you a voucher to get chips fixed within 14 days of an appointment. I would consider coming back to Enchanted again if I had an event where I only needed the gel to be chip free for a weekend or something. I'm going to try out some of the other salons in the area to compare quality first, however. read more

I had been growing my nails out for weeks to get a French manicure. Kat ended up cutting the nails off on my right hand because "she forgot" what I had asked for. I was very disappointed, but understand mistakes happen. However the way the customer service was handled at the end was very poor. I will never be returning and I will advice others the same. The salon is clean, well organized, and nurse/teacher appreciation specials!!!! they offer great small touches: coffee, bottled water, and champagne. The check-in process includes an iPad in which you can type your information, select if you had an appointment, schedule the next appointment, and then you're escorted to the waiting area. There are a plethora of televisions, all on mute with captions, on various channels so needless to say there is something for everyone. It was my first time here, I was impressed by the ambiance and staff attention to detail; unfortunately that was not initially conveyed to the manicure and pedicure. The woman who initially started my manicure just went through the motions despite my requests. THEN I MET BERNA WHO IS THE REASON I GAVE 5 STARS!!!! She took over and looked at what each nail or nail bed needed, acted accordingly, and made suggestions. The attention to detail was impeccable, she used her own high quality products, and her personality will have me coming back. Small in stature, but a huge presence; witty, personable, and caring not to mention her phenomenal skill set. It is obvious she loves what she does and caters each experience to what the customer needs. We exchanged numbers so I can schedule and contact her directly-- in one sitting she got a regular! I got a dip manicure at this nail salon with a chrome color, and the color started chipping off the same day I got the manicure done. I went in a few days later to get them redone and the color was coming off again the next day. I called to request a refund and they told me they can't do that, but I can come in to get them redone. Why would I want to continue to go keep getting them redone at a place that clearly isn't good quality? And that's a huge inconvenience for me to keep going to get them redone. I also explained to him that the salon is not close to my place, so it's a hassle for me to keep going back and forth. He wouldn't budge and wouldn't give me a refund. This just enforces that they do not stand behind the quality of their products/services. During the initial appointment, I was also charged an additional $16 to get my previous manicure taken off even though I was getting a new manicure. I have never been to a salon that charges you to get them taken off if you're getting a new manicure done. My friend that I was with that got a pedicure was also charged extra for something she did not agree to pay extra for. I am definitely not giving them any more of my business, and recommend everyone avoid at all costs. read more

Lots of color choices and space- its a big salon. maybe it was just the guy I ended up with, but this was one of the worst pedi experiences I've had. he was too rough, & left my poor toe so irritated that i couldn't even put it back in the water. i dont have overly sensitive feet or anything, this dude just needs to settle down.
