I give them 60 bucks and whatever left is for tips. However, I'm mad because when I took my mom here w me. They charged my mom 5 bucks for taking off the gel finish. And they convinced my mom to get another gel manicure. My mom didn't want it so they quickly did her nails like she didn't matter because she wanted regular manicure. This was my third time at the salon. Usually I was satisfied with the quality of services. I guess today is not my day. Pedicure: very quick and rushed, barely touched cuticles. I was done earlier than two ladies who were seated about 7-10 minutes prior to me. Quality of nail polishing - think of a 10 year old doing it. Manicure: similar performance to pedicure, didn't touch cuticles!! My nails look like I've been wearing this manicure for a week.. the guy who did it checked his creation at the end and seemed to be satisfied with his job done. I'm so so disappointed and terrified, just can't stand looking at my nails and toes. Such a waste of money. Pampering myself turned into punishing. One plus - they offer wine. Im pretty disappointed in the mani/pedi I received this morning. My nail technician seemed extremely distracted while doing my nails and it's pretty evident in my manicure. I've been here before and they always did an ok job but after this mani, I likely won't come back. The place that I've been going to was closed today so I went here. Very conflicted because my friends and I had originally booked 5 spots for pedicures. I decided last minute that I wanted a gel manicure instead and they were very accommodating, even moving spaces for me to allow me to sit close to my friends. It was super nice that they have free drinks and cookies while you waited as well. The manicure itself was decent, afterwards there were some spots where there was excess top coat but it wasn't a big deal. I also loved that they apply sunscreen on your hands prior to the UV lamp. However, my left thumb nail chipped 3 days later while I was out of town for work. I went back to the salon immediately after I got back to DC because I was leaving for another trip the next day. I came in around 6:30 and was told to come back around 7:30. I tried I explaining that I would be leaving town again for another week and wouldn't be able to return due to my tight schedule. I understand that there were others waiting in front of me, but it was literally one nail that needed to be fixed, and I felt like they didn't care and were just trying to wave me away. I've also never had a gel manicure that has chipped in so little time before. I ended up going back around 8:30, and my nail got fixed rather quickly. I appreciated that the technician offered to put on another layer of top coat for my other nails as well. Overall I'd say I'm satisfied (especially with the two week guarantee), but annoyed that I had to go back in the first place. read more

Enchanted Nails gives the best manicures/pedicures in DC, in my opinion, because of their attention to detail, consistency, two-week guarantee on gel manicures and excellent customer service. Tree is my favorite technician; he's blended and recommended nail colors based on the look I'm trying to achieve; always checks in to make sure I'm comfortable and not in need of a beverage or whatever; and has even stopped mid-manicure to change my nail color, when it didn't look the way I expected -- all with a smile on his face. The manicurists, in general, are very professional and attentive, which unfortunately seems to be a bit of an issue elsewhere in the industry. At Enchanted, I always leave feeling relaxed and in love with my nails. During my last visit, Tree shared his concern about a customer who felt he'd been discriminated against because he was black. I'm a person of color and though I wasn't present and can't know the details of that person's situation, I can share that my personal experiences with the salon staff have been excellent. I've always felt well taken care of and warmly welcomed. I've never felt even a hint of disrespect and see people of color during every visit. I would never dismiss another person's perception or experience; I'm only introducing the possibility that the issue experienced by the client was possibly isolated/unusual, potentially misunderstood and not based on race. During these times, when it seems people are more intolerant and inclined to openly show their racist attitudes, I would not speak so highly of this salon, if I hadn't personally been treated so well each and every time I've visited. I recommend this salon without reservation and appreciated that Tree cared enough to share his concern; he seemed genuinely disappointed that there was a perception by even one customer that he'd been treated poorly/unfairly, because of his race. This is my second review for enchanted, but I honestly can't recommend this place enough. After my person left enchanted, I tried a couple of different places in D.C. and was really unimpressed. I'd been going to enchanted every 2-3 weeks for years, literally and came right on back when I realized this really is the best spot. Since my person left, I've been seeing Phillip. HE IS AMAZING. I get endless compliments on my nails all day every day. He is very experienced and pays attention to shape and direction from the client. He listens and is super friendly. He's been doing nails for over 15 years and it shows. Phillip is really the best!!! read more

I showed up early for my appointment, was greeted immediately, and had a gorgeous gel mani and pedi done within 1.5 hours (very quick for those services on a weekend!) Izzy is the best nail pro in the city! I have followed her all over town for years. I started going to her for acrylics years ago when she was in DuPont circle, and over time have moved on to gel and powder/dip (at another salon in DuPont and then on the waterfront in Georgetown). I've been twice in the past few weeks for gel manicures. Both times I have had to come home and fix my own nails. Top coat every where, cuticles not trimmed correctly, edges jagged. This time I asked the guy to please fix the cuticles and he said they were fine. Also, the sign outside lists a different price than they charge you inside. That is because they have a cash discount so if you have cash you can pay $5 less for a manicure. I would do yourself a favor and head down the block to Mimosa. I hope since I'm not a regular yelper that it doesn't bring down the average of the spa. I've lived in Adams Morgan for almost 4 years and have always gone to a different shop. I tried Enchanted one evening with a friend who is a regular. I was impressed by the chairs, super comfy and all of them worked. Izzie did a great job on my pedi and was very friendly. I noticed while getting my pedi that the salon had SNS jars on the wall and Izzie answered all of my questions and told me about a special running through January. She did a great job on my pedi so I returned later in the week when I had more time for a new SNS set. I brought a different friend who was getting a pedi and an SNS mani and the staff made sure we were sat near each other while my SNS got started. The staff was also really attentive to our needs asking if we wanted drinks or water (a whole bottle for free!). The chairs in at the mani stations are very comfortable as well and don't cause me back pain. The salon also has an unique way of removing SNS manis that is faster which I appreciated because sitting in acetone for too long is no fun and can give me dry skin. They also have a wider selection of SNS powders than I've seen elsewhere. While Izzie didn't do my mani, I'm still really impressed with the service. She recognized me, said hello and asked what I wanted done for my nails. I was heading to Harry Potter World and to make my nails even more special she gave me nail art of Harry's lightening bolt and glasses . I'm sad I forgot to take a photo because it was really cool! It's lasted for two weeks and only starting to show wear. The rest of the SNS set is fine; I'm only going in because I want a color change and to show (yet another friend) my new discovery of Enchanted and Izzie. read more

I get pedicures every two weeks and decided to try here instead of my go-to place across the street because of the good reviews. My pedicure and gel manicure were sloppy at best. - The pedicure massage (I paid for extra massage) was not relaxing. It was the same repeated motion for 10 minutes, which included her digging her nails into my skin (in a scratching motion). - They set a timer before beginning your massage if you get a spa pedicure, which makes it less than relaxing when you're just watching the clock. - She scrubbed my toes so hard with a cleaning brush that it stung when she rubbed alcohol before polishing. - The polish itself was not applied with care, I could feel the polish on my skin around my toes and she did not go back to check. The manicure was similar, I have gel polish covering my cuticles (if you get gel manicures often you know that when the polish goes onto the cuticles it promotes peeling sooner). - My cuticles were sore the following day from too much trimming. The entire experienced felt rushed and unrelaxing. I've heard great things about other employees so I'm hoping it was just a one-time experience. read more

Been going to this salon for years as they have great color selection and usually do a great job. Today I made appointments for my two friends and myself to get pedicures together . My two friends were immediately serviced by technicians and I waited over 20 minutes for an available technician. This understandably happens - what was a bummer was I did not get the same towel or massage that is typical and was told callous removal was an upcharge which I've never been told before. My feet are actively rough and one toe is cut from the speed mg pedicure was done and the polish streaky. Despite the late start my service only finished minutes after my two friends and my feet feel and look less well done for the same price . Visited Enchanted Nails & Spa one day after work with some co-workers. We had a long day at work dealing with the children and needed some "me" time. We called ahead to make sure the hours of operations was correct and to see if they could accommodate our group at the hour (it was 6 pm). They agreed and we were off. We get there, look around and it was barely anyone there (side note: we weren't aware that they stayed open as late as they do (9 pm). They provide you with juice, water, or wine and a light snack or candy. Anne, my nail tech was so wonderful she made sure to check and double check her work. No uneven nails, no leftover under nail acrylic. But unfortunately, even with a slight discount, it was a bit pricier than I expected. Second time going there. Walked in with a friend at 7:10pm for a pedicure, the salon maybe had 3 other patrons finishing up. The pedicure began at 7:15 and ended at 7:30. I have never in my life had a 15 minute pedicure. The dude doing my nails was so unprofessional, he ended my pedicure by slapping my legs and saying, "welp all done!" The lady doing my friends nails kept offering us wine. We had one glass, after asking if we'd like another we said sure. When she returned with the wine she told us next time we cant have two glasses. It was the weirdest thing. Why would she offer? To be fair, I'd love to support a family run business and the only glimmer of hope in this whole place is one of the technicians and owners daughter. I think her name is V. She wasn't there this second time around but she was the first time. She didn't even do my manicure, but my friends. When she saw that my polish job sucked, she offered to come over and fix it. I live in the area and have seen this salon go downhill fast. It's filthy (accidentally walked into the employee restroom and almost threw up - note that the salon cleaning products were stored in there) and they do not properly sanitize their equipment after each use. "For proper sterilization, the implements must first be cleaned with hot water and soap, disinfected in wet sanitizer and then sterilized with an authorized autoclave, ultraviolet sanitizer or dry heat sterilizer." - Nail Salon Sanitation Requirements for the District of Columbia There is far too much employee arguing and gossip going on during what is supposed to be a relaxing experience. Employees yell across the salon at each other over $1.00!! If you make the mistake of getting a wax here, be prepared for the ingrown hairs as what you're really paying for is a "rip", not a wax. Bottom line: I'll never go to this place again, for any service - EVER. The real problem is with the management, which is unfortunate because the salon has the potential to be good. As an educated woman, I cannot in good conscious support a business with a misogynistic, abusive and alcoholic owner. Sober up, stop assuming that customers who look white don't speak Vietnamese, properly sterilize your metal implements and hire professional management. read more

I used to be a devout Dupont Nails gals and then I came to Enchanted Nails & Spa! While coordinating a mani/pedi date with my girlfriend and her boyfriend, it was difficult finding a place open by the time they got out of work. We chose Enchanted because they were open late enough to accomodate our schedule and has great reviews. Enchanted is open "late" until 10pm during the week, 9pm on Saturday, 8pm on Sunday. We went in around 8pmish wednesday evening after work and wanted a gel mani/pedi. The man at the front desk is so welcoming, helps you pick your color and takes your name down for services. He had a hard time finding my color and instead of saying "pick another one" like other salons would probably do, he was intent on getting me what I want. I like that. Needless to say, he found it and I high fived him for it because the guy made my day! Enchanted has a great selection of Essie, OPI, Orly polishes. Lots of gel polish choices: OPI, ESSIE, Perfect Match, etc. You will have no difficulty finding something you like. The difficult part will be narrowing down because you have so many options. I went for a hot pink and glitter accent nail because I was feeling springy, and birthday fancy. We waited maybe 5 minutes for three pedicure chairs to open up and off we went. My friend from the front desk asked if we wanted a beverage. I said, "yes please, anything would be fine". My friends added it's her birthday mani/pedi and my Enchanted friend exclaimed, "Champagne it is!" I knew I liked this guy, it's like he KNOWS me! So off he goes and returns within moments with three champagne flutes of the good stuff for my friends and me. This is not like Dupont or Mimosa where you get crappy wine in plastic cups. Feel so fancy at Enchanted! Pedicure chairs are 'da bomb with remote control device to control your massage on your neck, back, thighs, and BUTTOCKS. I likeeeeee. The classical/yoga like music is great and helps you relax. Thumbs up for the relaxing music. Yo-Yo did my nails. She did a GREAT JOB! I'm a New Yorker so I have a New Yorker sense of humor which some people are too sensitive to handle but Yo-Yo can hang. She also frequently asked questions related to how I preferred things, checked throughout the process that everything looked okay, etc. She is a perfectionist and she is GREAT! She did a great job with my pedicure and gel manicure. I was definitely pleased. Definitely check out Yo-Yo. Check in on Yelp to get a complimentary beverage. Although I got one anyway.
