I read the great reviews for Encore on Yelp and met with Holman to get an estimate. He looked at the vehicle and his estimate was $730 and included replacing water pump and tensioners! If I could give this business 10 stars I would. I was on a long-distance trip from Northern California to Ohio via "the southern route (I-10 & I-40) and spent the night in Indio. The next morning I was on the road at 7AM and 10 miles east of Indio my dreaded "check engine" light came on. I quickly checked and saw and smelled nothing unusual, so I returned to Indio. USAA Roadside Assistance referred me to ENCORE AUTOMOTIVE and I'm incredibly glad they did. From diagnosis of a bad oxygen sensor to getting back on the road was less than 90 minutes. INCREDIBLE !!! I had an older van I was tranferring from Sedona to California, which I bought to jelp a friend out. Well the vehicle didn't make it to it's destination, so I had to make arrangements to put her down. But before we got that far into the story, I had AAA tow the vehicle to Encore Automotive. So they were so nice over the phone, I was looking forward to working with them. As it turns out, they gave me news that they could rebuild the engine and gave me a cost for that or they had already found a replacement engine which was cheaper and less miles. I chose to have a salvage company take it instead. I'm going to say sorry to the guys now because I thought I had a brand new hydraulic jack still in the box and much to my surprise it was left at home by mistake. I feel really bad that I would even think, these guys were so proud of their reputation, that they would have taken the jack. They apologized and the tow truck picked it up. My 2005 Lexus GX 470 had a leaking heater core. This repair requires the dashboard to be removed and is a very labor intensive job. I called Encore and they were able to give me two quotes in just a few minutes with OEM parts or cheaper aftermarket parts. Each price was very reasonable and I chose Encore to make the repair with OEM parts. I arrived at the shop and was impressed with the waiting room and service counter. The shop was very clean and organized. The young man and woman at the service counter were very professional and friendly. I learned Encore is a family business. Feeling more comfortable with the shop, I requested that the front/rear differential and transfer case fluids get changed. I also brought a different set of wheels to have mounted and balanced. The final quote for all this work was very reasonable and they said it would be done in about two days. I dropped the car off at the end of the day on Wednesday and received a call Friday afternoon that the car was ready. I picked the car up and all of the work was done very well and they performed a multi point vehicle inspection just like most dealerships, but without trying to pressure me into unneeded repairs. They also showed me the old leaking heater core. This shop is awesome and should be the example for all auto shops, especially the dealerships. I highly recommend and I will be returning. read more

Encore, saved me close to $600, the dealership wanted that amount of money to fix my right hand mirror on my car that I damaged. The owner took a look at my mirror and said give him about 25 minutes to look closer at it to see what he can do. He returned the car with my passenger mirror all fixed. I asked him how much do I owe him and he said nothing at all. I told him you spent over a half an hour working on my car and it looks perfect, I must OU something and he said no just please recommend me to people. I went in for a transmission job and that I can say they did good but also paid for alignment to be done with it and when received the vehicle back as I arrived found a scratch on car that wasn't there before showed the young lady proof from home cameras when vehicle left my house a gentleman there corrected it and buffed it for me I was happy as I was driving started noticing steering wheel is not centered being that I paid for alignment one would think they would center steering since alignment machine makes sure the steering wheel is centered before proceeding with alignment so then you can make your toe caster and camber adjustments if it has that option on vehicle but they missed the alignment portion on my car I'm guessing I had to take vehicle to another shop pay again for an alignment as I also got home noticed battery tie down was loose and battery moving everywhere well I check and see no bolt because they over tightened it and snapped it right off you can see the end of bolt in the hole other than that car is running fine again but it's the little things that makes a customer upset especially after spending a couple grand I understand mistakes and accidents happen but these are little things that turns a big job into a disappointment to a customer makes us feel like if they did these things what else wasn't done right or missed throughout process read more

My teenage daughter drove alone from San Diego to the Coachella festival, on Friday, when the car gave up the ghost in the middle of Coachella traffic.
