I went in to replace the entire gear assembly and to check what else is maybe wrong with my car. The job to replace the entire gear shift was 1,200+ plus , and 7,000$ more for other work that needed to be done. It was maybe 150-200$ for just the check up what needs to be done so might as well get it done. I decided to just get the gear assembly done they had my car for 3-4 days. I mean the job was done, but this is the minor issue that I notice the first day I got it back .I can't see my gear shift when I reverse, park or put into drive at night. Usually the letters will glow red but it doesn't. I don't know if it's something they didn't notice since I noticed at night, I haven't called or anything about it bc I work full time and having it at the shop for another few days means a bunch of money spent on Uber. read more

Carlos was great. I accidentally cracked my oil pan, and it was leaking badly. I needed my car fixed as fast as possible, so I called a friend of mine who had given me the number to the west coast auto. I brought my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport into West Coast Auto last week to have my crankshaft bolt removed. They tried their hardest and got the bolt out but there was too much shredded metal and damage to the crankshaft to salvage the engine. They were very honest about it and only charged me $200 for the work they had done to my car. They were friendly. Even walked me through the engine as it was up on the rack and showed me exactly all that was wrong with it and took pictures to send to me for my small claims court case as I had just bought this car, had it for four days and this damage was done to it by the previous owners mechanic. 10/10 would recommend and go again. My wife and I were towing our 35 foot 5th wheel and noticed that our brake pedal was hanging up. We weren't sure of the problem and were fearful of continuing our trip without a repair. I called on a Monday morning and the owner had me scheduled in an hour later. He treated us as royalty, topping off fluids, netflix, and immediately took our Dodge pickup in and evaluated the problem. He decided it might have been the booster but did not feel that the problem required immediate action. He said he honestly would not suggest having him replace the booster as he felt it may be a needless repair and didn't want to charge me for something I may not need. It has been fine and we are still traveling without a problem. How refreshing to have someone so honest... and the best part he insisted... no charge for the check or fluids.
