Wow, this was my first time visiting this park, and I am genuinely impressed! My family and I came…read morehere on a Sunday evening to wind down and end our day, and it is by far one of the best and cleanest parks in the Elk Grove area. We even came on a windy day, and it was still a wonderful place to be. It is so spacious that it's the perfect spot to fly kites. A few of us were flying kites together, and it was such a relaxing, heartwarming experience. It's incredibly family and dog friendly, super roomy, and has so much going on. Because it's so clean and well maintained, this might just become the park I bring my kids to most often, and it is definitely a top choice for hosting future family events! It is perfect for a workout, sports activities, or just letting the kids play. I love the layout, especially how they designed the two separate grass areas where one sits at a lower elevation, while the other is level with the rest of the park. But honestly, what really blew me away was the restroom. I know that sounds like an exaggeration, but I'm serious! So many park restrooms are cold, dark, dirty, and lacking privacy. This one felt downright luxurious. It is completely temperature controlled, which was especially nice since it was breezy outside! It was warm, well lit, exceptionally clean, and had absolutely no odor. It even sounded like it had a great ventilation system running. The only minor downside was the lack of toilet seat covers, but that's an easy fix. The entire park feels pretty new with a beautiful, modern design, conveniently located right behind the Sky River Casino. Highly recommend checking it out! Rate: 10/10

There are pickle ball courts and clean large bathrooms which is a must for little kids. The water spouts come in the summer and kids can play all day here. CSD keeps the park nice and clean with everything well maintained. The best part is they have an annual 4th of July viewing at this park where the community comes out in lawn chairs and just hangs out. This is one of the great parks in Elk Grove.

I've been coming to Town Square Park since we first moved to the area, and the recent revamp…read morehonestly took an already great neighborhood park and made it super fantastic. One of the best upgrades is how much bigger and more thoughtfully laid out it feels now. There are clearly different sections for little kids and older kids, with tons of varied playground structures. Because everything is spread out, it never feels overcrowded--even on busy afternoons. The shaded awning area is also a really smart addition. I've seen families use it for birthday parties, and it's the kind of detail that makes the park feel community-friendly rather than just a playground. They also redid the basketball court, which looks great, and added a permanent cornhole setup nearby. It's nice seeing spaces where both kids and adults can hang out and actually play something together instead of just sitting on benches. But my personal favorite spot is right near the entrance by Town Hall--the rose garden. When the roses are blooming, it's absolutely stunning, and the smell when you walk through is incredible. Tucked right there is a little Little Free Library nook, which has turned into one of my favorite small rituals. My daughter and I will stop there before or after the playground to drop off a book or see what new reads we can find. It's such a sweet little moment that makes the park feel even more like a neighborhood gathering place. Helpful tip: If you visit in the late afternoon, the shade from the awning and nearby trees makes it much more comfortable, and that's also when the rose garden smells the strongest. Between the upgraded playground, the sports areas, and the beautiful rose garden entrance, this park somehow manages to feel both lively and peaceful at the same time--and that's a rare combo.

This park is 6.2 acres in size and was completed in the year 1992. Built in the planned community of West Laguna, Town Square Park is pretty much known only to local residence. Some of the amenities of the park are : picnic area with two picnic tables, one half basketball court, a community garden with benches, trail access, several large open spaces for multi-purpose use and a small play area for kids. Park users can park in the Laguna Town Hall Parking Lot or on residential streets near-by. The grass is green and the park is well maintained ! Great park to relax after a long morning walk!

There's free street parking and the restrooms are actually well maintained (soap + toilet paper usually stocked, which is always a plus). The only concern is the restroom is located near the 2-5 yo playground only, so if you are at basketball or tennis courts, it takes quite a walk to reach restroom. For sports, you've got tennis, baseball, basketball, and pickleball. The pickleball setup has 4 outdoor acrylic courts with permanent lines. You do need to bring your own net. The courts are nicely shaded by trees, so it's not too brutal in the summer heat. Playground-wise, there are two sections for different ages (2-5 yo and 5-12 yo), with swings and climbing structures: good setup if you've got kids of different ages. One nice bonus is the bike trail access that connects over to Betschart Park, so you can extend a walk or ride easily. Also worth mentioning: the park is used for free adaptive/inclusive recreation programs through Cosumnes CSD. They run classes and activities for kids and adults with disabilities (Autism) (fitness, yoga, swim, pickleball, tennis, Zumba, camps, etc.). There's also RAD Fun Fridays with games, movies, crafts, and more for all abilities. They also have pickleball coaches. The pickleball is every 2 weeks at 10:30am PST. One of the pickleball coach is also the owner of local Sacramento pickleball paddles manufacturer: Jolle pickleball. All pickleball paddle is from fiber carbon so it is very light. He has some pre-owned paddles for half the price. Call him soon before they are gone!! Overall: clean, shaded, pretty active community park, and especially good if you play pickleball or want a family-friendly spot that's not too chaotic.
