My son has been going to the Sat class and enjoyed it so much! He has learned more from Coach Sordello's than from his previous AAU team.

In order to assess his level of interest, I downloaded the trial version of an iPhone game/app called Code Spark Academy. This app allows the user to create the intricate details (levels, rewards, etc.) of a game and then play the game. During this time I noticed that his traditional games and even television shows were put on the backburner. While driving through Elk Grove I noticed a new (at least new to me) establishment called Code Ninjas. I immediately found their website and saw that they offered a coding camp based on the popular platform Roblox. Thankfully, the class was being offered on a day that fell within my son's holiday break. Before registering my son for the class, I ran it by him and he enthusiastically said "YES!" After submitting the payment information, I received a welcome packet from Code Ninjas (outlining the facility rules) that I quickly completed and submitted. The morning of the camp I packed a lunch for my son (Code Ninjas does not provide lunch), and we hit the road! After being warmly greeted by the employee at the front desk, I signed in my son, kissed him, and sent him off to explore the world of coding! When I arrived to pick him up, he did not want to leave. Aside from putting the finishing touches on the game that he created for Roblox, he was "networking" with his fellow coding camp buddies. During our ride home, he could not stop talking about the coding camp. He explained to me in detail the game that he created and that his game was saved so that he could resume the modification of the game upon a return visit. I highly recommend Code Ninjas for any parent that has a child that expresses interest in coding. Yes it is a bit pricey ($89 for the coding camp), but it will definitely pay off (literally) in your child's future! I am already planning on registering my son for the Minecraft Coding Workshop. Thank you Code Ninjas!

During his first training session an associate (called a "Sensei") gently guided him and then let him work independently. When our son had questions, they were there to quickly address them. When I arrived for pick up everyone was upbeat about what they had accomplished that day. That was over a month ago now and we are still going strong. We will likely even increase our membership at some point. I was scanning through the reviews and Janet M. incorrectly wrote that they charge $75 an hour? Wrong. We are pleased, the owners are wonderful and very involved with their clientele. This business is spotless and everyone is very careful to follow COVID safety guidelines. Want to try something new? Highly recommend.

Super disappointed and upset about the decision to participate in their class events.

I don't normally do things like reviewing stuff online, but the sweet young woman I talked to last week while picking up my nephew left such a wonderful impression on me that I felt the need to share! I've been in this building a few times before, but during my last visit the atmosphere felt different, I don't really know a better way to say it other than it felt more inviting. I think it was the music they were playing, very peaceful! She came out of the back room and greeted me very kindly, she was such a pleasant person to talk with! I wish I could remember her name of the top of my head, but I'm pretty bad with names (and after thinking it over I don't think I would say her name here even if I remembered it, not my place to share her personal things with the internet). However, she had a beautiful smile and short hair, I won't go any further into describing her since I don't think it would be right to blast her appearance online in a overly descriptive way. We talked for a little while as my nephew was finishing his camp, and apparently she's the one who implemented the new microwave. Very clever! She mentioned a few more projects she was working on for the shop that I can't remember, but what I do remember was I thought they were fantastic improvements while I was hearing them!! Something about a snack cabinet I think? I might be wrong, so don't bet to much on my memory. I can't say enough about how sweet and wonderful she was to talk with, even if it was only for a few minutes. The part my nephew liked best was "The Prize Boxes", or atleast thats what he told me its called. From what I could tell she would let the kids pick a prize to take home from a little box of their choice. I thought it was neat! My nephew seems to like her quite a bit, and I can see why! I like her much 10000x better than the previous employees I remember talking with in the past!

My daughter sometimes struggles with staying put and pay attention, the instructors are all incredibly skilled and more importantly patient! My daughter especially enjoy the circuits work in addition to learning coding, very good to have some hands on balance. We recently had her birthday party there, it was drop off, so the patents got to go and enjoy a couple drinks near by while the children had such a fun time! Hands down the best perk of being an annual member! We love it here, and I see my kids coming here for the foreseeable future!

I asked what was he doing. He said they told him how to sign onto the computer, but then he'd be playing on Minecraft the entire day with little supervision and next to zero instruction. He was basically playing Minecraft for the entire time he was there and that was it. He had friends in the class as well and they also verified the lack of any direction or instruction. At the end of the week, we asked again what he had learned and he promptly said, "Nothing." I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this one deserved putting the calories into. It was a complete waste of time, energy, and money.
